Well i bought my Monitor on Amazon and they did not give me the 300$ gift card they like dening me?
Thanks for the quick upload, subbed!
Thx.. this monitor sure has alot of features many will appreciate.
I received mine today too. I thought the smart tv aspect was going to be a gimick… but watching RUclips on it is amazing. The ai upscaling is legit.
aw lucky. It's best monitor on the market but so expensive. Even tho I was thinking about buying g8 the 2023 one. Then didn't wanna spend 1000$+ on a monitor and got iliama 34 inch 180hz for 350$ around
True... it really is a great working feature / option we have. Its so snappy.
@@24kCookieMusic what makes it best monitor in market? Isnt it more convient to watch youtube on pc?
@@SonicDestiny that it’s Oled that won’t burn out
@@SonicDestinythey solved some of the QD oled issues like the purple looking display in bright environments. They made a matte display that somehow doesn’t mess with the blacks at all and still looks super deep and inky and you can’t see the matte coating at all. It has a unique cooling system that’s really quiet and effective. Text rendering is sharp but that’s just because of the high PPI. Brightness is good, build quality is insane
Heeeey long time no see!! Happy to see you again!!
I'm enjoying so much my Samsung Odyssey g8 OLED 34"
Hey.. Ill have a Vs video on those soon. Thats going to be fun. I think our 34" G8 is the best Ultrawide so far..
You deserve more subs. You put a lot of effort into your videos.
Got mines yesterday love it 🙌🏽
Nice! Congrats🎉 I sure do love it also..
Just contacted my retailer friend here in iceland and i'm hoping i can get my hands on it within the next couple of weeks
should be quite a good upgrade from my Odyssey Neo G8
Hi Viktor, nice video as always. Would love to see a vs video against odyssey neo g7.
The Neo G7/8 is brighter in all modes. HDR here is even lower by 100nits vs my Alienware. Weird but I tested both. Maybe that coating is lowering it. Asus glossy vs matte is 20% which in this case from samsung and alienware w0uld be 15%-20%. Ill test more for sure..
@@ViktorsReality I love the SAMSUNG ODYSSEY NEO G8.. it does EVERYTHING. Well Rounded monitor
Please show on the vs video if the black becoming purple When there is light hitting the panel and Is it a real problem in a bright environment?
It still does but not as strong as the other qd oleds. Problably due to the matte coating but its a light purple. When i compared to the LG you can see a bit here the LG looks darker
Got mine preordered here in Finland! Should be getting it on the 17th or around then
Congrats🎉
How has VRR flicker been on the QD-OLEDs you have tried? I had terrible VRR flicker on the AW3225QF and saw it bad also on my friends PG32UCDM. I went with the LG 32GS95UE despite not really needing the Dual mode and the price for the reason that the new WOLED panel on this is the only one I've tried that has had almost no VRR flicker outside menus and loading screens.
Also, have you downloaded the new firmware update for the LG? seems to have helped HDR quite a bit, at least with the crushed blacks. Not perfect, but a nice step in the right direction and hopefully they'll continue to improve with future updates. Would love to see the new update when you do the comparison video.
I will update the LG before the next video. Plus nvidia drivers fixed gsync according to the notes. I really dont have a problem with flicker even tho I have got comments like yours tell me the issue. Alot of qd oleds actually. Maybe a qd oled issue? Ill check rtings as they usually have flicker tests..
@@ViktorsReality I know it's a problem with OLED (and VA) panels. There are a lot of variables though when it comes to whether someone experiences it or not. What games you play, the settings you use, the hardware you have, and personal sensitivity to flicker. I've had friends tell me they never had it on their OLEDs, but it also made me realize that a lot of people don't know how to use/turn on G-Sync properly.
I had it on my previous ASUS PG42UQ also so I was hoping the new QD-OLEDs would be better. The LG is the first OLED I've owned where I can actually game with G-Sync on with minimal enough flicker that I can enjoy without turning it off on games that had it. One game that's usually obvious with flicker is Alan Wake 2.
I think I saw 2 videos on RUclips with people comparing flicker to the QD-OLED on the MSI 32URX to the LG, and another comparing this Samsung G80SD flicker to the LG. Both showed the same result of QD being far worst.
BTW awesome videos. I stumbled upon your channel, and you've gained a subscriber.
Cool! Would love to see this compared to the top MiniLED such as the Neo G7/8 and the LG. Specially the LG 27gr95um as no reviewers are covering it yet and users are complaining about dimming in HDR issues.
I have the LG mini led. Sdr is king so far. True hdr does dim but not as bad as you may think. Ill see if a new firmware is out
Nice quick vid!
That warranty tho
I’m in the race for an LG 27GS95QE for my PS5. How is this one compared to the LG Oled? What screen to get for my PS5?
Samsung has many cool smart features that I use. Lots of AI smart stuff on the G8. For your ps5? I will have a vs video out this week with MK1 etc games to see consoles.
Question, is the matte coating oily 😢or is it usable for editing photos/vids? I subbed btw great content
Thx friend. It is not oily at all. Its more pin point. The light is disbursed less wide on these. Its better here vs the LG 32GS95UE. also, I was editing on this and forgot by stepping away and it dimmed so that oled safegaurd really kicks in.
@@ViktorsReality
That’s great, thank you 🙏
Have you tried other glossly 4k QD-OLEDs? I currently have a g8 UW and I'm deciding whether or not the matte coating on this display would be a downgrade.
I have the G8 34" and Alienware Aw3225qf. I will have a vs soon. But so far in the dark its hard to notice in hdr. Its not a downgrade just a small difference. Its best to describe when I have that video. Lots of options on this G8.
@@ViktorsReality Do you have an eta on when you'll release that video?
I purchased the OLED G6. Do you not there is a ver small amount of screen space not utilized even beyond the black bezels of the monitor? I noticed on the G6 there is a slim black gap between the black bezels and the edge of what’s actually being shown on screen. Sometimes it is centered all around, sometimes it is on the left side and top, sometimes the bottom and the right. Is this intentional or do I have a defective unit?
The screen has a built in pixel shift. Basically all OLEDs should have it. It protects your screen from image retention. Its totally fine..
I’m really tempted on ordering this. Ive been waiting for the PG32UCDM. How do you think this will stack up against the ASUS?
You do you but the reason why I bought this one and didn't order the glossy aorus/asus ones was because of that raised black issue. I game with a window fairly open and lots or RGB and this thing stays black. On my glossy msi 341cqp that I tried out, the blacks get raised so easily to this pinkish hue I hated it. The matte finish isn't so bad on this one you have to really lean in mad close to see it slightly but its very crisp at 2 feet away very nice highly recommend blur test looks awesome
Looking for a new Oled 4k monitor and its between this one and the LG. Which one would u go with
Me for Samsung because better brightness in sdr and hdr and color volume.
@@MakeSh00tdoes it have speakers?
@@miltona891 yes 2023 version had very good speakers actually.
The LG is brighter on highlights but the Samsung is feature packed. It depends on what you need.
@@ViktorsReality color in sdr and hdr volume is better on samsung. Better output of colors .. and sdr brightness is better in real scean.
Hi Viktor, now I have a samsung g70a, do you think will be a good choice buy this g80sd? Thank you
It would be a nice upgrade. Brighter, smart apps, smooth motion that the A's didnt have but the B's do. I think you would be happy with the New G80SD.
@@ViktorsReality thank you Viktor…you do a great job for us 😎
I also have the G70A and am wondering if the image quality is that much better to justify the upgrade.
Went into Microcenter 2 days ago to buy it. The matte screen was a turn off and I didn’t end up getting it. I also heard they don’t include 3 year warranty on burn in.
I have some questions hopefully you can answer. Is this monitor anti flicker free? and is this G-sync compatible? also the lightning on the back on the monitor how can we change that collor?
The lighting is changed in the menu. Lots of options. I believe they should be flicker free (I have no issues) but many comments are sensative to that issue and no official gsync compat certification/validation yet.. but it works..
@@ViktorsReality Thanks for the fast response. Also when you connect the monitor to the pc does and u start up the pc does it normaly goes to the desktop windows, or does it go to the samsung home thing? Cause I never see a revieuwd where I see the windows 11 desktop
@@Jonasdeke it goes to the pc. Thx tho as I can cover that in the review. (What happens at start up.) But I just turn on my pc and monitor and it goes to the pc I believe.
I love how this guy says monitor 😊
😂
bhanitor .... say it with your nose.
Genuinely, from someone who's used this, is the Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 a good monitor? One that's worth the money and can run large games?
My old monitor could not even run Minecraft, so I'm really looking for a fast, reliable one.
I think I'm a OG when it comes to using a glossy screen.. I have used the LG 32 SL 8000 sinds it's release back in 2009.. So i'm fine using a matte screen now hahah
Very awesome instead of going big 43 for my desk which has a hutch on it and it will be difficult to put on I think I will go for this screen this fall. :)
Hey, I have the neo g8 mini led, is it worth to upgrade to an oled monitor at this point all things considered?
Not for sdr or hdr gaming. The Neo will be brighter. The smart features is a nice to have but we mainly buy for thst quality. You akready have a great monitor. Look at it like this.. if you love the Neo G8 then no do not buy but if you just are ok with the Neo then this may be an option for that oled look.
@@ViktorsReality oh I see, thanks for the answer. Myself I don’t care for any gimmick features or things of that sort, purely picture quality is what I care about and If OLED monitors still aren’t as bright as something like an s95d then yeah it’s not worth for me.
what do you think about the Asus PG32UCDM? which is it better? thank for i answer.
Thry both have the same qualities other than matte vs glossy. Its the smart features and design here that make this stand out. Every person I have talked say they love the snappy menu and smart apps. So it may come in handy...
Monitor I want! The proprietary Dynamic Cooling System to prevent burn-in. Liked and subbed!
Thx friend.. This monitor is really slim. It really looks nice..
This monitor brightness approve or what lg asus not good last one
Still testing but this is just like any other QD OLED.
Thank you for your hard work. If they did fix all the lagging in this bloated tv-monitor menu, that is very commendable.
You are gonna use-play on the oled monitor in the light control(dark) room, so the matte coating makes no sense.if they would make a jet black all black bezels and making it glossy - could be at least interesting to look at. Right now i guess pg32ucdm in the king, so if possible, i would love to see your reaction on it.
Thanks
I am trying to get it in. I Will eventually. I just got the glossy xg27aqdmg.
i want to get new OLED monitor cuz now i have 144 IPS and i wnat to upgrade. Between the UltraGear OLED 27GS95QE-B and the SAMSUNG 27-Inch Odyssey G6 LS27DG602SMXU, both are priced similarly in my country. Which one do you recommend I buy?
@@RTV12911 the oled G6 is brighter in HDR. But SDR I would pick the LG. It depends on which mode you mostly use these.
didn't think i could notice a difference (new samsung G6)...but went 8-0 since plugged in so...
Lol.. nice
So are the smart features and remote control not available on the 27" Odyssey G60SD?
Not sure on that. No smart features tho on the G60SD. Ill keep an eye out on the G6 OLED.
@ViktorsReality sorry, I thought the G60SD was the new OLED. But yeah, no smart features or remote with the smaller 27" 1440p version kinda sucks. I get it, but still...
I plan on snagging one of these for my FPGA retro consoles, like the Super Nt, Mega Sg, Duo & AVS, along with a RetroTINK4K. Hopefully the G80SD's matte finish doesn't have a negative impact on QD-Colours and black levels. It's either this or the 42" LG C4, and I'd be fine with 42" expect for the fact that I just don't like WOLED colour. :P
Which one u pref LG 32 or this one ?? And how coating compare Samsun g vs LG pls answer :)
The LG is a small bit brighter while the Samsung has alot of features. The coating? The Samsung is better at controlling reflections. The Samsung has no blotches of wide light at about 3ft like the LG does. I will show more soon.
@@ViktorsReality But ur pref is Samsung or LG ? Coz i want OLED and can buy any of Asus ucdm , or LG . But Glossy its hard to clean and etc . U know what i mean
@@evgenyskokov3090 Glossy is easy to clean. All you need is a Microfiber Cllth. Thats it. Smudges or fingerprints will be easily cleaned. But yes the Samsung should be easier as fingerprints or dusting is a non issue.
@@ViktorsReality I got UCDM before , And i try to clean once ( with dry apple polish cloth ) and i make BLue smudge ( its no going after watter cleaning ) so i m disapoinment, I love how glossy looks like . But :(
Is this compatible with the Philips Hue app for tyzen(paid)? So I can attach lighstrip and sync the lights with netflix content.
Not sure.. good questions. Since samsung has that deal and offer it on the tvs.. ill check
I read a comment online that says it does.
Hey, compare this LG 32GQ950-B with these 2 LG/Samsung monitors, is it worth sticking with the IPS one?
The 32GQ950 is brighter in SDR. Easier for work. The GQ is still very good due to the ATW polarizer giving it above average contrast and viewing.
@@ViktorsReality It is possible to see in the picture two monitors like the LG LCD 32GQ950 OLED 32GS95UE-B to give us a wonderful day.
Do you have any info if there will be a curved version of the 27" 360hz OLED?
Nothing yet. Tho Samsung Display has stated that all these qd oleds can be bent/curved a small bit like the Alienware 32". It up to the monitor manufactures to do it.
@@ViktorsReality thx for the reply, i'll have to wait a bit longer then, i guess :)
hey vic thanks for another great video! so do u you prefer lg 32 oled or oled g8 G80sd 32?
Its tough... they both offer something. But if you want brightness the LG wins in all % sizes. But these smart AI upscale features really are very good. Plus the color is better on the Samsung.
Hey! Does this monitor have the VRR control setting (that removes vrr flickering)?
Does it have VRR flickering?
Does it work with Gsync without flickering?
Does it have scanlines?
Have a nice day everyone!
No scanlines at all. It does have a VRR flicker option. I have not tried gsync but usually an nvidia driver or firmware update may help if there are issues.
@@ViktorsReality thanks for answering!!!
Does the vrr flicker option solve the flickering?
@@Kaudrag33 while I have not yet tested or seen any flickering. If I do see it I will enable it to let ppl know in the review video.
@@ViktorsReality Okay. Would be really interesting because VRR Flickering is a really huge issue on Oleds. If this feature works without problems and if it fixes the flickering… it would be the best oled of all.
Had 2 QD OLED 32 Inch 4K monitors which had both flickering. Sometimes it’s really annoying.
Had the Alienware aw3225qf and the Asus rog swift pg32ucdm.
I‘m waiting for my exchange model of the Asus one because it had really bad coilwhine and there was something like a shadow of my background after 5 days of use and I wasn’t at the background for more than 5 minutes a day.
Really strange.
So hopefully the new model won’t have that.
If it does… maybe I'll get the Samsung one.
Have a nice day and I’m looking forward to watch your full review!
I purchased the new G6 Oled and even though it has that hybrid coating the motion and colour on these new samsungs slap. Dont need the 4k one as I just got myself an Oled C90 for RPG Gaming. Once you go Oled nothing compares
I agree.. on that OLED Life. Great that you enjoy the OLED G6. Congrats!🎉
Does it have airplay?
Which of the two has a clearer picture, the LG or the Samsung? It is not G-Sync certified, but have you noticed flickering? (Maybe Samsung just did not want to pay for it or it is a QD-OLED issue?)
This will need an update or Nvidia driver update. I am getting black screens randomly when gsync was enabled. So i disabled it and the issue went away. The LG is brighter in hdr in the peaks.
@@ViktorsReality Thx that makes the choice for me really easy!
Sind die intelligenten Funktionen und die Fernbedienung beim 27" Odyssey G60SD also nicht verfügbar?
Yes only available on the 4k OLED G8 (G80SD) and future G95SD OLED G9.
Is that matte coating really that big of a difference between glossy? I’ve never had an oled but everyone is saying do not get this one because of the coating
No issue whatsoever. But I now can cover a wide variety of panel coating for a video soon. I love this monitor.. especially for the smart features. Game motion works perfect for consoles.
Please make a vid side by side comparing the coatings with a glossy 32 qd-oled.
Matte is a killer😢
@@shindigira that is is only thing which kept me from buying it too.
Has anyone figured out if the 3 year warranty covers burn in? I called and the customer service said it did. But I keep seeing online that it doesn’t.
Its just ppl dont know. I dont see how this can get burn in with all the protections it has. If you buy from samsung get a rep id and chat log number so if you have problems you are covered.
Super cool video ! we wait for more, does this have motion plus Viktor?
Yes. For consoles and the smart apps. Game motion and smooth motion. In the review i will for sure add that.
Which coating better for u ? LG or Samsung?
Its tied. But samsung has less light spread so it may look nicer in the day.
@@ViktorsReality Viktor, can you please advise if the matt finish looks grainy, i tried the asus ultra wide 240hz woled and the coating was a deal breaker for me so i kept my aw3423dwf. @@ameerchehab its less grainy vs the 27gs95qe. Those have an oily vasoline look but this is matte but more pin point. The light reflected on it does not disburse as wide like the LGs. Here I have alot of rgbs going on and no problems.
Does this monitor have dual mode, that you can set it to 24 inch Full HD?
I dont believe so. The Aorus and LG has that feature. I do not see it here in the menu.

I dont think ill like 1080 p
Wjy dont you like the LG besides 1080p 480hz? What about HDR or just the 4k 240hz?
Well the samsung is $400 dollars cheaper with that best buy gift card. And maybe ill just buy the 2k 27 in 480 hz monitor. So ill have two monitors. Idk im stuck on what to do. I hear the lg32gu in 27 in mode 480 hz looks worst for shrinking the screen size.
Hey man, i have the opportunity to get this for $999 plus a $300 gift card to samsung.. I have the Asus on order delivery at the end of the month or into July... Worried ablut the matte coating lol. What would you do?
To be honest. I always get Samsung monitors. From the reg G7, G65B, G65D, Neo G7/8, OLED G9. You get my point. I just want to be honest with you. What sets this monitor apart from other QD OLED is the matte finish and smart features. The matte is very good at reflection handling. I have zero issue with it vs my Alienware QD OLED (VS video coming next week) but the smart features, that AI upscaling is really nice to have. This quality with youtube videos or netflix is a must for my and I am sure everyonewill use these options. The Asus is prob the best picture quality but only by 15% in brightness on peak highs. I will eventually get the Asus. But if I had both in front of me the Smart features stand out the most. Cloud gaming and entertainment with qd oled tech is a nice thing to have. Plus the price you say is crazy good.

Do you think this is better then the new asus 32 oled
They are tied. Other than smart features and design they are equal in display quality. So Asus better drop the price soon.
Is anyone having problems with DSC at 4K 240Hz?
What issues are you having?
Sadly I wanted usbc for my work laptop, I’ll have to go with the f32oP from gigabyte.
Also, the Aorus is the brightest so far from what I have seen from all tests. Its a nice choice..
aw2725df vs lg27gs pls
G8 comparison vs tv s90d c4 g4 s95d a95l
I feel like you’re the AI in the monitor trying to get me to buy it
😂 this is actually in HDR as I wanted to show hdr but yt is processing still. Its feature packed. My Alienware qd oled is a small bit brighter in all window sizes but the smart apps here make this stand out. They are very useful.
When is this likely to be slightly discounted do you think? Every bit helps 😂
Its now $999 on my amazon link
Just picked mine up open box excellent for 100$ off plus 300$ gift card bonus! So 400$ off in a way!
Nice Detailed video thx. But i said F-it and bought it from amazon althou i have the g8 mini led curved i guess we can have the best of both worlds :)
Lol... true... best of both. I hope Samsung refreshes the Neo line with these smart features.
@@ViktorsReality Is it me or the screen looks Curved inside out? BTW i love it more than the Neog8 Mini led
Well i bought my Monitor on Amazon and they did not give me the 300$ gift card they like dening me?
Does Samsung offer 3 year burn in warranty?
I cant find any info but for the review I will have a samsung rep info..
@@ViktorsReality Thank you. I would not buy any OLED monitor unless there was a very clear burn-in warranty.
No more reviews? Dont just keep posting demo videos on gaming. More on comparison and actual reviews.
i think he has returned it
Wat.. lol no.
When can i buy it?
I have the links in the description. Some stores have released them while others are stsrting to get backordered. June 4th-17th is for the $300 early bird store gift card/credit.
@@ViktorsReality i m in Italy
Its available on Samsung Italy
So no type c on this one? Damn that maybe a deal breaker for someone...Still a cool video as always though~
I just double check the info page. No type c. You think they would have included it.
Hou about ai upscale??
It looks very good. I was holding so info for the review as actually I have it done but wanted to add alot more info. RUclips and netflix so far look crisp. I watch alot of audio drama or horror docs and on static images it really does upscale lower content to 4k. Im going to hook up a 360 and ps3 even a switch to see what it does...
@@ViktorsReality That sounds great, will you show the difference upscaling does for media and consoles? Also when is your review coming?
@@jakubjakubowski5541 I will try to show the upscaling. There is no way to turn it off. The AI stuff I mean. Review will prob be next week. Before the end of the $300 credit sale. I think its worth it as the smart features really sre cool to have and that great design and picture quality.
Do you know what the warranty for burn in is?
So far it just says 3yrs. I will chat with samsung before the review to get an some info..
Can u ask them about the neo g8 version 2 when it will be released?
@@ViktorsReality Dope i just bought one lol got that student discount bringing it down to 1050 with 100 cashback too
Yo VIK😊.
Hey Michael! The New Samsung OLED monitor is nice!
@@ViktorsReality yes it looks awesome
Is LG or this one brighter?
The LG is brighter in both sdr and hdr by a small bit. The peak highlights also the LG wins. I have tested both.
Firmware update fixed lg eotf today now it's the perfect monitor for me
@@ViktorsReality which would u say is better asus qd-oled or lg
@@Renverse64 Asus has better Color brightness. Plus Glossy screen makes it pop more. Passive cooling so no fan issues.
@@ViktorsReality so would you choose LG or Asus?
The thinness of the panel compared to the LG is great but I rarely see the sides and back of my monitor, bezel uniformity is more important for me because I see it every time, and in that the LG looks so much better.
Whats weird.. is that the LG's actual panel is not as uniform as the Samsung or MSI. I think because the LGs panel vibrates with the pixel sound it needs to have some give. When I review or Vs the LG ill sbow this.
@@ViktorsReality I meant symmetrical bezels sorry my English failed me XD. Just talking from an industrial design standpoint nothing picture or panel related.
I agree thin means nothing to me
Is this QD-OLED monitor?
Yes.. QD OLED GEN3
@@ViktorsRealityI am considering this model and ASUS PG32UCDM. Which one you think is better?
@@timothyboey5164 the Asus wpuld be a bit brighter in peak highlights. But the Samsung has alot of features that no one has. Smart and cloud apps with AI upscaling. Game motion for tv and consoles etc
@@ViktorsReality which one would you choose ? I am more into gaming and watching movies & RUclips
Anybody seeing artifacts when watching RUclipsTV or AppleTV?
You must have auto motion enabled. Lower it say to 5 or 2. Or 0 if you want artifacts removed completely. Game mode motion plus is less strong / faster but again up to you on how much you want .
So this one has the IPS panel supporting 4K@240Hz, whereas the TN Panel on the BenQ 2566K is said to be better for gaming but the visuals are a bit dim(not so appealing), also it only supports resolution upto 1080p@ 360Hz. Maybe I should wait for the technology to advance a bit more till they develop 4K@360Hz monitor. Let me know what do you guys think.
Hi !
Hey friend... hope your having a great day..
@@ViktorsReality hehe you to.
First 😂
Nice🎉
I think the monitor is using OLED panel, not QD-OLED
What do you mean?
@@RJ_331 Sorry typo. I meant to say the panel its not QD-OLED. Its using OLED
@captainbear3110 why do you say that? Samsung Display specifically makes QD OLED.
Its a QD OLED panel. I can easily see the color difference. Samsung only has a deal with LG for tvs. Also, No woled has 360hz...
