Vik do you know anything about the complaints people are saying about these monitors.. mainly the g60sd, that it has some crazy whining sound when set to max hz? Will you test the g60?

I have not seen any fish eye or inverse picture. Maybe the lighting? I dont know. Ill keep an eye out
Hey Viktor, I'm really interested one this monitor to be my main one for gaming and productivity, what are your thoughts on text clarity?
I honestly have no issue on text clarity at 4k. The QHD 360hz MSI QD OLED i have I do see like if I need 4k to better see text. So work is fine here. Gaming is great too.
I own this monitor and text clarity is fantastic. I can’t tell anything different than my 1440p monitor.
Nice one, quick question though. I just took the Alienware AW3225QF, how different is the new G8 compared to it ? (Almost equal or better?)
I will have a vs video soon. But no worries. You got a great monitor in the AW. Other than smart features is basically the same.
@@ViktorsReality Thanks for that!! Appreciate it. Also I usually have Ps5 to the AW, any idea of cheap speakers that could work for this scenario as there’s no headphone jack it’s a hassle to connect. I’ve tried the 3.5mm to type C but it ain’t working as my speakers only have 3.5mm.

What are the audio output options when using smart apps (Netflix, Prime, etc)? Is it only the built-in speakers? If so, is there any way to have the audio fed back to the PC and out through connected DAC AMP / PC Speakers? Am strongly considering this monitor for the smart apps and video upscaling but the audio situation is a deal-breaker for me.
It gives me an option for either Monitor sound or Bluetooth speak list..
@@ViktorsReality Thank you for sharing. Weird move by Samsung to not include more audio outputs like optical out. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this use case.
One of the HDMI has arc support so you can connect a soundbar to it.
you should do the g60 360hz oled, I wanne know how that one is compared to the competators. And also if the g60 supports g sync aswell cause it says free sync premium but no g-sync
Did you find out if the smart functions / remote come with the smaller 27 inch 1440p version of this monitor?
The smart features are only available on the 32" G8 (G80SD) & 49" G9 (G95SD) in late Aug.

Wow .. mw3 looks blurry on my 1440p 27 inch lg oled .. rocking a 78003xd and a 4080 super . I guess 4k makes a massive difference . Does this monitor work at 120 fps if I also hook up to Series X , or PS5 ?
Yes 120hz on both consoles. This monitor includes hdmi 2.1

Both are QD OLED so the picture is the same. This monitor offers smart upscaling features that are found on 8k tvs. Smart apps etc are really fast. But it really is up to you on matte vs glossy. If I had to choose 1 it would be this. I love the design too.
The ASUS is way better dude!!! I just got this today and taking it back, does not get bright!

Who is this video for? Since 80% of the video is a video of the monitor and gameplay after compression from the camera. Compression uploading to youtube, compression depending on user settings on videos, then rescaled to whatever screen this is being watched on the actual experience of looking at a oled was lost long ago.

I got this display yesterday and I can't figure out how to use 240hz. I have it connected to my RTX 4090 using the provided displayport cable but I only have the option to use 120hz. I also have my old lg 4k 160hz display connected using displayport in one of the other displayports on the 4090.

i want to get new OLED monitor cuz now i have 144 IPS and i wnat to upgrade. Between the UltraGear OLED 27GS95QE-B and the SAMSUNG 27-Inch Odyssey G6 LS27DG602SMXU, both are priced similarly in my country. Which one do you recommend I buy?
Does gameplay sound come from monitor speakers?
No this is from my pc. The speakers are above average just like the Neo G9.
Ive ordered one of these in the UK... a serious question now.... the silver bezels... is it off putting? And is it a light silver or a deep metal color? I wish the boarders were black... im so undecisive atm.
As long as you dont have any light on top of the monitor (I do have it here I have top lights facing down). Even in low top light its ok. If you have powerful ceiling lights only maybe will you have an issue. The bezels are silver but curved so light will bounce backwards not forward.
Hey I have this monitor and use the backlight on it. The edges are very ignorable, almost not even there. Hope this helps
Any idea what peak brightness in HDR is?
I cant find anything online.
It allows the max brightness possible on small highlights. 1-10% area of 1000nits would be max impact. If off it may just give 400nits. Enable ON high (or low) for best impact or immersion in games.

It does have vrr control option in the menu. But I have not seen any flicker yet.
Viktor my man, have you noticed any VRR flicker at all as this is a common problem with oled.
do you prefer this over the AW32?
I prefer this for the options I have. Smart features and Game motion plus on say ps5 or xbox or netflix to me gives me that value. No need for a seperate streaming device. It just feels to give more value vs others

Upscaling and other stuff will make even old movies incredible to watch.
There are tons of upscaling solutions and also smoothing softwares included in many video renderers, which you can get for free, no need to spend money for those@@20puskinas1992

Hi mate. I cannot decide what to do! I'm looking for monitor/s for gaming, with some content creating/watching movies and sports, so presumably I will want 2 monitors. Due to the downsides of oled, having 2 oleds seems a bad idea, but all the best monitors are oleds.. so I absolutely cannot think what I should buy, any ideas?
See lg ips nano atw polarizer 32gq950-b Viktors has it, it's his best monitor and mine.

Its great and has many options. Game motion for consoles, smart apps with zero lag. HDR is best here. Sdr is capped at 240nits. So hdr is best. Either $999 or with a $300 gift like its at right now seems about right. Anything above 1k with no gift seems less attractive as more monitors are released. Asus etc will be shaking soon..
In the Odyssey OLED G8: Official Introduction trailer it says this monitor is NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible! Do you have the May version of this display?

Why does it look like there's blur almost smeared in the video. Out of a few vids ive seen in VS vids I notice that on the samsung. Seems a bit dark to.
The G8 OLED is dark in other Vs. videos? I have notices a bug recently that hdr didnt enable properly on my G8. Now its fixed. Hdr from the youtube app is different from the pc hdr. Weird.

As long as you set your audio up in the monitor menu it should.

I'm on the fence on this new montior or the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM? I have the PG32UCDM, got it yesterday, is it nice, Yes, am I impressed, kind of to be honest. Yes the blacks are great, colors are nice, but something is off for me. I am coming from the Strix pg32UQ, yes ips panel, big panel, but I had everything dieled in on it so it looked really nice, yes I know its a ips panel, so you get that ips glow and everything else thas comes with it, but I dont know, I thought I was going to be blown away with this panel, to be honest.
The other thing I have noticed, this thing give off heat!!! I am not even using HDR, the back gets hot and you can even feel the heat coming off the panel it self, its my first OLED, so maybe thats normal?
I might try the samsung and return this one today, or just go get the pg38uq beck, for $1299, its OK, just my opinion.

ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM has a Contrast Ratio of 1,500,000:1 and this Odyssey OLED G8 G80SD screen has a Contrast Ratio of 1,000,000:1 Or is this the same for both these OLED displays?
Each company just has different marketing terms. Other than the Samsung matte screen these are the same in qd oled quality.
Were your ports on the back loose I've seen two people talk about how they could push in the ports they're loose
Mine are loose also. When I push in the AC adapter it moves/pushes the whole input board

@@evgenyskokov3090 the matte display, my buddy bought one and I saw it in person hence why I’m watching all these videos. It really blew my mind, glossy is still a tad better tho maybe 15% and that ain’t much plus you have to be in a dark room away from sunlight to notice

We need the video from the top 3 in all kinds of light circumstances. To actually see how big an deal the lg,Samsung,Alienware are. I really like the new oled g8 version. But joelster made already multiple videos. He stated that it is mat. While some claim it is hybride. He is also making an video about this. We are all patiently waiting. Hurry up 🤪
Ill give this monitor a 8 out of 10 Because the settings for pc mode is great but when i go to the menu to watch tv or whatever the settings seems diiferent like its brighter. So to me this is a real PC monitor not a tv monitor :)
Honestly. So far RUclips app HDR is ok but on the PC HDR is way brighter. Pc Games look amazing too. There does seem to be a difference between the 2. The more I use it.

I need some help with my g80sd every time I low the brightness to adjust the game contrast the color and black in the back look bad I mean bad like broken with distortion happen when play control and dying light at the begining in the house if I can't fixt goes back 😢😢😢
Is this in HDR? Are you using static or Active. Why would you lower brightness? What settings are you using?

Another thing on this monitor, it has pixel cleaning but you have to run it your self, can not find any auto feature for this, I mean its a OLED. The asus had alot of features for this pixel cleaning. Just wanted to put this out there.
This does have a built in pixel shift but yes we need to manually run the panel refresh etc.. maybe that vapor chambor safeguard+ really is monitoring or helping with burn in? We still need more time with it.
I ended up buying the lg 42 flex for $1500 new at best buy yesterday. ❤😊 🙏 Thank God $1000 discount. 2500 to 1500 yeaterday!

Yes. A black remote control with 4 smart app preset button on it. It also can solar charge (on the back) or charged thru usb c.

Today I got the G60SD - before I had 2 more OLED's 27GS95QE and FO27Q3. Both returned in 14 days. At LG I hated wierd surface that looked like grainy filter and the colors was washed out. FO27Q3 was almost perfect but the glossy surface ruined it for me since I like to play with lights on / open curtain in a room and the reflections were horrible. The G60SD solved both issues, matte surface is very different from the grainy one that LG uses. I played whole day with open window and it was perfect. Colors are also beautifull. Gonna keep it for sure.

Samsung is decent company in my books, I only buy Samsung phones and each gen they are more polished with more stable software unlike My Asus products for example.
Coming from the alienware 34dwf that’s glossy to this, I can confirm matte sucks. Despite the higher resolution, I can’t say that this monitor looks better than my alienware cause of the matte coating.

I can't wait to get this monitor! Although I wish Samsung would clarify some of the confusion people have such as the performance of the Matte Coating and how it differs from the heavily grainy LG WOLED and also the burn-in protection/warranty. It seems some people have said this coating differs quite a bit from other recent matte coatings such as the version LG used. Then as far as burn-in Customer Support is sometimes saying there is a burn-in warranty and some are saying not, and it needs to be clarified by Samsung.
The LG is supposed to have a good coating and the Samsung has an even better one than the LG according to another review on RUclips.

They are silver but in light controlled room its a non issue. They are curved so light bounces back
