Outro music by David Vonk/DaJaVo
Apologies for a few weird audio artefacts in this video, someone used the Content ID system to (falsely) copyright claim the royalty free music we were using, so we chose to remove it to save ourselves the hassle of dealing with RUclips's copyright system
Can you see who that was?
After seeing the shirts you guys have for your channel at COMPUTEX, and this hoodie I was thinking it might be more fashionable and aesthetically pleasing if you made the channels symbols " A Box " about 75% more smaller and moved to the left or right of the chest and maybe even added it to the edge of the sleeve as well. Just a design note from someone who's worked in graphic design for textile companies. Been a follower of you guys and love the work you do so wanted to offer my two cents. Want you guys to look good out there.
Hisense U8K 75”, U8N 75” , U9N UX . Those r newest ADS-PRO panels from American Company BOE . Has 2X contrast ratio of ADS, 180 Viewing angle . 600hz screen refresh rate .
the green tables of response times is so relaxing .
calms the eye
I love living in the future
This is the perfect video for all those who do not watch all the videos here and want to stay up to date on the best within each category. I love how you make it so short and simple, but those interested can check more in-depth reviews on your channel. I would love to see this format multiple times for each year!
Got me the AOC Q27G3XMN after I saw your dedicated video about it. Best monitor upgrade I've ever had.
I'm thinking of doing the same to replace my older HP 32 1440hz.
@@LucasYork1440hz
@@LucasYork recommended highly
What settings do you use? I'm using 80+ contrast for text clarity, brightness 60-70, and Gamma 3. Medium dimming for SDR and desktop, full dimming for HDR.
It’s a great monitor. I bought mine in December. It’s nice having usable hdr, my only downside with it is the vrr flicker.
Got the AOC monitor on Black Friday for 250usd. It's my first 1440p monitor. It has been a great monitor.
the "welcome back to monitors unboxed" hand gesture gives me life
He’s built different man
Bought the AOC Q27G3XMN in February and I'm still amazed, it looks fantastic and HDR hits really hard, like the light of a thousand suns 🤩
Can I make a video review suggestion? How about the DELL U4025QW? I'm trying to find the best all-around monitor for both gaming and editing, and this one seems to tick most boxes :)
loving my aoc, thank you for your recommendation!
Mine arrives Monday!!!
For some reason listening to Hardware + Monitors Unboxed is relaxing, even when I don't know exactly what you're talking about I love the consistency and technically of each video.
Looking forward to the gen4 woled panels from lg with updated suppixel layout continued. I'd like to see more brightness and ultrawide 360hz at 4k
I have been using AW3225QF for a few months. Excellent monitor. The curve is so slight, it’s not even noticeable. I feel like the curve makes gaming slightly more immersive.
I wasn't expecting the LG 32GS95UE to show up in this video. Preordered one for myself, can't wait to enjoy my first 4K monitor & high refresh rate at the same time also coming from TN panel.
I wish monitors weren't constantly sold out in the UK had a better chance to get a 3090 on release
Could you please make a list for the non Oled monitors you would recommend?
Boys, I have ordered the Gigabyte FO32U2P, I’m really excited for this!
I own it. It's awesome,. You won't be disappointed
@@JakeWaterSnakedoes it support G-sync?
Cause Nvidea card 😩
@@afrodruid2345 From what I've read, that doesn't matter anymore. Even if it's FreeSync, it should still be compatible with newer models. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
@@afrodruid2345 Doesn't matter, every monitor has Adaptive Sync these days and you will be able to enable G-Sync Compatible no matter what.
Excellent mate, happy for you! I am waiting to order mine... fingers crossed i will be able to soon!
Still waiting on your review for the MSI MAG 274QRF-QD E2 :D
Please have a look at the Samsung 32 qdoled. Would really like to see what you think of the different screen coating as well as the warranty not covering burn inn
Thanks for you videos when be available the g80sd for review
Are you guys gonna review the new 2 Mini-LED monitors from TCL? They seem really good
Tim, Enjoy your content! I currently own the Gigabyte Aorus FV43U monitor, and I love the 43" size and aspect. Any recommendations or options available in this size range for 240hz QD-OLED 4K?
The strings on your hoodie made me think you was wearing Black Ops 3 merch.. Great review btw!
Hey Tim, LG did a firmware update on the 32gs95ue, can you see if they did any meaningful bug fixes?
Why does no one talk about the VRR flicker in these monitor reviews? I think this needs to be much more pushed from the reviewer's side so that these companies fix the issues for good...
From a connectivity standpoint, what do you need on your graphics card to run 4k HDR 240hz? +VRR? I have a 4070 ti super which maybe can do this for rocket league
Any possiblity you will test the Asus PG38UQ? While I would love to get an OLED monitor (I already have an OLED TV so I know the benefits), the drawbacks make me lean toward staying with IPS for my main monitor.
I do need to replace my monitors this year. It is nice to see what is best in 2024.
@monitorsunboxed great works as usual. Can I have a reccomendation on a 32 inch qhd/whd for 3d modeling//scolorina and also gaming? Im leaning toward an oled but im not sure I should go for an ips due to burnin question. Thanks!
Bro youre so right about the AOC. I'm in NZ and would buy this monitor immediately but I've asked around different retailers and they all say the SKU isnt available to them. Why do they not want to sell this monitor more??
Idk it's 280 usd but in Europe it's 400 pounds. The marketing is weird on this monitor for sure. I gambled on it on Black Friday it was 250usd. It has been a great monitor, too bad it's not available to other markets at that price they would sell a lot of them.
Reminds me of the situation with the XG2431.
About as good as 1080p 240hz gets but I had to order it from spain.
To bad that in Europe exist only downgraded version of AOC Q27G3XMN which is AOC Q27G3XMN/BK ... and i wont touch that bad version at all ! (see the reviews world wide between those two monitor variants ).
Even in the U.S. it's hard to get. Amazon just lets you buy with a very long delivery timeframe on a que. Newegg oversells within an hour and refunds you once they realize they ran out. Took 2 months to get one.
@@jcdenton7914 Well that's good to know. Suggests that maybe they're not able to push enough out of the production line. In the case it would make sense they'd just limit it to the main markets.
I would love to see a review of the new 5k2k 120hz ips black monitors. Maybe test a couple of games to see the performance difference vs 4k.
@monitorsunboxed
Can You make similar video about best Mini-LED / Macro-LED monitors, please? :D
Looking forward to a review of Samsung's G80SD aswell, think it comes out in the UK next month
Well now aug pre order
Yea I am curious how the cooling solution will help with burn-in, hopefully it takes 5 times longer for the material to burn in
Waiting for higher quality LCD/LED displays. Thanks for including at least one.
Long shot for a response, but what do you think the chances are that firmware updates will be brought to the MSI MAG 271QPX, like they said was possible with the 4k version at computext?
I just ordered the $280 AOC based on your reviews. I have waiting for years for an HDR monitor that's good around this price. :) Thanks!
@monitorsunboxed what are your thoughts on the QD Oled panels compared to the Woled panels from LG? In your video, you say it hasnt been quite as impressive as QD Oled, why is that? Also, what are your thoughts of the purple tint/hue that is present on the QD Oled panels in the presence of ambient light?
Have we had a 1440p monitor with the new WOLED panel that has the new sub pixel layout yet? Or is that only in the 4k 32inch LG panel so far?
Do you planning to switch your gaming monitor this year, or you'll stay with AW3426DW and wait for 2025 panels?
I've been trying to get an MSI MPG 321URX for months, but that sucker is a unicorn of availability in the US.
Hey Tim, in Europe (and especially in Germany) the AOC Q27G3XMN is widely available. Strange that Australia seems to have a delivery issue...
Looking forward to pairing 321URX with 5090.
Dear HU,
Given all the buzz around Asus's RMA/Warranty coverage over on Gamersnexus, are you still holding strong on the Asus monitors mentioned?
Thanks for answering what might be a tough question.
When can we expect a review on the new Odyssey lineup? G80SD in particular? Waiting for your review on it, as to whether the usual Samsung issues might still be prelevant and because the matte coating might be a consideration as what they decided to use as gimmick on their take on the oled panel.
Would like a review of the Samsung g80, I preordered it, but still I’d love to hear your feedback before shipment
Realy waiting for the review of the samsung new g8 (g80sd). The anti glare may be a big help in reducing the disadvantage of qd -oled compared to woled in bright rooms
Any chance of a U4025QW review? First 5k2k 120hz and for a change it's an IPS 😅
I love my Gigabyte FO32U2P 😍🥰
The DP2.1 is important. The Alt+Tab black screen times with DSC are super annoying
Can you pls review the innocn 32m2v? It's a 4k mini led with 1100 dimming zones sometimes at 500€ with discount
Will there be Samsung G60SD review?
yes, the G80SD too please :P
I am seriously thinking about preordering it. All other oled monitors in my area are sold out or are priced too high. I would assume that it is of equal quality than the DELL and MSI variants which everyone are talking up. It uses the same panel made by samsung.
I have one if anyone is curious. I love it.
I have one as well. If your a gloss snob don't buy it. It's has their Anti Glare+ coating or whatever they call it. Personally I enjoy it because of the light in my space, and it doesn't feel like any typical matte display I've ever had. I'm overall happy with my purchase. Have not used any other OLED though
@@roosky203 I've preordered a G6 OLED as well,I'll have it by the end of June,I'm hoping it will be a big upgrade from my current 1080p VA 144Hz monitor.I hope it doesnt have Quality Control issues as well.
Could you make a video about the new Samsung G8 UHD OLED? I'd like your opinion about this monitor and the matte screen, how much "worse" (or not) it is in comparison to other monitors.
I got the AOC one off Amazon Warehouse for $250 including tax. If you’re on the fence definitely go for it. I sold my old 1440p IPS to “sidegrade” and it’s so worth it. Can’t believe HDR gets better than this at higher prices.
The ASUS PG32UCDM i like a unicorn to me. I'd like to buy it, but nobody has it in stock in the EU where i live. Sometimes there is one available online somewhere but they get snatched up super quick. It is really annoying for a product released at the start of the year to still not widely available in june. It really feels like ASUS ships like the 20 a week for the entire EU region.
just bought the AOC monitor because of his earlier recommendations. early results are good so far.
Ijust got the 5120 x 1440, 32:9 MSI MPG 491C OLED and OMG I'm in love. I wonder why no super-ultrawide in your favorites?
I just got the rog swift a couple days ago and holy shi I gotta admit I was blown away by the color and detail
Question, what 32" 4k options would you recommend for people who aren't quite convinced by all the anti burn-in technology and don't want to go OLED just yet?
Would like some more reviews on new entry level 1080 and 1440p monitors, getting harder to recommend things with something to back it up. Luckily rtings coverrs some but would love more.
is there a good mini-led monitor for people who don't buy the burn-in warranties? more for content generation use case
Guys you really need to talk about VRR flicker when you recommend these monitors to gamers.
It's overblown most of the time
@Mad1723 I've owned 3 oled monitors now and it definitely is not overblown. It is quite annoying. The newest samsung 32" 4k oled monitor is one of the worst yet for it unfortunately.
@@Mad1723 Possibly sensitivity to it varies. I've never noticed any flicker on my PG27AQDM. That said, Rtings did find that flicker on that monitor was better than most other OLEDs.
@@imtheboctilian Just turn VRR off on games with highly fluctuating framerates. On 240hz I dont notice any tearing anymore anyway.
Highly interested in the new mini led very competitively priced in EU TCL 34R83Q.
Review the tcl 34r83q
I ordered it! Will make an update!
Truly impressed you found a
As owner of WOLED, get a QD-OLED, the vertical banding is nasty on mine and 2 of my friends. Only noticeable in some circumstances but not talked about enough. QD-OLED have better uniformity.
Edit explanation: QD-OLED displays have better uniformity than WOLED displays due to their direct RGB emission from quantum dots, which ensures consistent color and brightness without the unevenness introduced by color filters on WOLED.
do qd-oleds not get it because of the different tech or.........does lg just have quality control issues?
@@thepadster123 different technology. QD-OLED displays have better uniformity than WOLED displays due to their direct RGB emission from quantum dots, which ensures consistent color and brightness without the unevenness introduced by color filters on WOLEDs.
QD-OLED is king if you like good colors. Looks vastly better in most scenes and QD-OLED has less / little black crush compared to WOLED as well. LG Display needs to reduce price or improve their tech. 3rd gen WOLED even with MLA is behind QD-OLED 1st gen.
@@walker2006au Does this apply to current, just released WOLEDS with MLA+? like the 32" 4k dual mode 480hz monitor from LG?
@@michaelchoi5247 yes. They still suffer from it. To what degree is a panel lottery.
To a degree QD-OLED can get it but it's usually far less.
Had a chance to get the LG C3 42" for cheaper than the Asus Glossy oled and I did right before the review came out that stated the panel isn't as good as the LG C-series OLED tvs.
would like to see some comparisons between the usual monitor companies like Gigabyte, Dell, Asus etc to monitors that cost half price but same specs like INNOCN (that also dont suffer from VRR flicker)
I think I'm still going to hold out for the LG's expected 240hz 2160p OLED ultrawide panels next year. I just want usb-c for productivity with my laptop (I mean with that kind of resolution for text rendering I hope manufacturers take this into consideration) and a glossy coating. If not I would be happy with a 32" one too but nothing ticks off every box that I'm looking for
What productivity are you doing at 240hz?
@@mryellow6918sorry I didn’t clarify, I want the 240hz for gaming, but I want the 2160p for text clarity because I do UX design work. I’m sensitive to pixelated text and it’s important for my job
Is there a review coming for the Aorus FO27Q3?
i hope so. that model looks really interesting - but still a bit too expensive in germany (859€ at this time, but dropped from 969€ since release)
It’s great to see more OLED’s coming out pushing higher refresh rates and trying new things and AOC innovating at more reasonable price points. I’m still loving my AW3423DW and would find it really hard to give up the ultrawide format though. Given it takes more horse power to drive high refresh rates on 3440x1440p monitors over standard 1440p, it is probably going to be some time before we see ultrawide 4k monitors. A 4090 only just manages to run Alan Wake 2 with everything turned on at 3440x1440, so I suspect a 5090 would only just manage on a 4k ultrawide. So the market is pretty limited.
What is the best 27" 1440p 240hz+ IPS monitor? Is the Dell Alienware AW2723DF good?
I really need one of these big monitor channels, preferably this one, to put the FO32U2P side by side with the FO32U2 and test them. It's a rare chance to test the true value of including dp2.1 within a model line that should be otherwise identical - though lets also be careful to not assume that they are otherwise identical. The price difference is not insignificant.
Any update on the new samsubg g8 and g6 reviews
I now own the Aoc becouse of your review. Thank you!
I am honestly waiting for the VA LCD with local dimming for my all-around monitor.
My PC is turned on for 14 hrs a day and half of it I am working with mostly static image of IDE with code so OLED is not an option. But I want those dark blacks so much.
eeew VA, if your a gamer you want IPS if not going OLED
@@Battleneter thats why I am still waiting and not buying the monitor from the list in the video. There are already some nice VA monitors with good response times, but without local dimming
would you chose 4k ips 27 inch over glosy 1440p oled 27 inch monitor for singl player games? great video
After usıng ultrawıde QD-OLED for over year I went wıth 4K 32inch IPS. I work from home and sit in front of PC for over 10 hours every day and in terms of eye comfort OLED's are pretty bad. I missed good old IPS monitors that I could stare at for long periods with no eye issues
I'm curious to see how PG32UCDP is, mainly if BFI will work with DFR mode so it would be 240Hz then.
Could Monitors Unboxed cover 27" 4k options? Always feel like its missed out.
Are there any good 32 inch 4k Va flat monitors? I reeally don't want a curve like the Oddysey G7 has.
i thought ur hoodie had a box with rips on it, which made sense becoz this is the "unboxed" channel lol
have to ask last year the mini led panels were super expensive, now here come the oled and the mini are still priced higher than a lot of them...will we see better mini lcd at cheaper prices?
PG32UCDM, MPG32URX, FO32U2, G80SD, which one is the best?
Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SD) will be your favorite once you review it
Asus PG32UCDM: HDMI 2.1 or DP1.4, which to use? Assuming GPU can support either.
Any chance you guys are going to review Samsung's G80SD or G60SD? These things are priced really well in a lot of regions, like in the US/UK with decent preorder discounts out of the gate.
Love your videos. Sticking with the CX/C1 until someone brings back the remarkable rolling scan motion clarity LG introduced with these and then, sadly, abandoned.
wich monitor has best performance in ghosting and backligth bleed beetwin odyssy g70b and m28u
Hello i would really like you to make a video about 1080p monitor !
Id be cool to do a top ultrawide video. Ultrawides will be much easier to run at higher fps once 5000 series come out.
I'm just waiting for the day Asus PG27AQDP is released and it makes it into this list.
I love my MSI MPG 321URX QD-OLED ❤
Me too, it is great!!!
We are blessed to live in a time with monitors like these.
Really interested in getting a 271QRX, its a shame that VRR is basically unusable on OLED monitors, but seems like not a terrible trade off
I own the 32 inch asus qd oled monitor. And as much as I love the monitor itself, it has an issue where, on occasion, the screen goes black. It remains powered, with audio and everything else, but the picture goes out. I'm not sure what the issue is. There's a whole forum dedicated to the issue, with many people having the same problem, but no one seems to have an answer for the cause. The asus moderators have only said they're looking into it, and this was over a month ago.
Got the Asus glossy OLED yesterday and it's the best display I've ever owned and I will never go back!
All the 32" ones are just not available in the Philippines. They get advertised online, but none of the stores have any stocks even if you try to get one online.
Does Alienware AW3423DWF still a good monitor today? It's been getting cheaper lately.
@monitorsunboxed What are your thoughts on the ROG Strix XG27ACMG? Not finding any reviews. It seems to be, on paper, the IPS version of the Asus ROG Strix XG27AQDMG.
Would really love mini led monitors
thinking now about XG27AQDMG vs MPG271QRX
In the UK that AOC monitor is selling only on Amazon for £500 or over 600 dollars. So I got the MSI-MAG-274QRF-QD-E2 while it was on sale instead.
i love this channel
Will you be getting the Dell UltraSharp U4025QW in for review?
