- The fifth and final mission of the US campaign.
Video is a little choppy here and there: massive scenario means low frames.
Mods wise, its the usual Black Sea mix of Kieme's mods for the textures, Waclaw's HQS Sound Mod and Veins effects.
Combat Mission is a game developed by Battlefront.com. One of the most realistic tactical simulations ever made, Combat Mission covers a wide variety of military settings, from World War 2 (Normandy, Market Garden, Sicily, Italy and the Eastern Front) to fictional modern conflicts in Syria (Shock Force) and Ukraine (Black Sea).
You can find out more about Combat Mission by visiting www.battlefront... and especially the forums.
Conceived and written before the real conflict began in 2014, Combat Mission: Black Sea is a military simulation depicting a fictional 2017 conflict between NATO and Russia in Ukraine. Command American, Ukrainian, or Russian ground forces in the increasingly sophisticated and deadly environment that is modern combined arms warfare.

This is just my cup of tea, don't stop please.
Last couple days have been a feast for Combat Mission AARs. Josey Wales, Kaunitz, and now a new hapless video. It's interesting to see how you guys variously approach making these massive and technically intricate battles comprehensible to us plebs. Genuinely curious about your next video series!
Thanks very much man! Next series is going to be an in-depth Combat Mission Final Blitzkrieg game by the looks of it.
Good hunter-killer work with the Gray Eagle. Exactly how I would do it.
Yeah. If it wasn't supposed to be unfair, the drones would amount to cheating.
@@usuallyhapless9481 The gray eagle being immune to AA is really crazy. When I played that mission I just took defensive positions with the abrams until I managed to find and destroy the AA vehicle with the drones and let arty + the helicopters do most of the killing. With the raven and gray eagle it really feels like the americans have very little need for ground troops to do sead
Congratulations on the victory!
Cheers man!
Welp, looks like I missed opening day. Let's see how this one turns out!
Nice, loved the series. Are you doing the expansion campaigns next? :D
Maybe :P
Hey dude just asking, I saw in your intro ( great video by the bro) that there was a helicopter in the air, in Black sea are aircraft rendered
They are not. The intro is some editing trickery. Broadly speaking, fixed or rotary wing aircraft are either going to be nowhere near a CM battlefield (due to stand off weapons) or pass over it so fast it's not worth rendering them.
@@usuallyhapless9481 thanks dude
Nicely done!
Amazing
Fantastic videos, keep up the hard work
I love your videos. They are well produced. Did you use turn based when making this video or real-time. You are one of the best!
Turn based is easier- you can go back and replay everything to catch it from whatever angle you want
The first time I know something's there is when something blow up, maybe not even then. Also where I learned that tanks can actually hide... But not me when I put something against trees it only blinds me... If not for extensive save scumming and UAV I would have had a disaster very quickly.
Will there be a Russian campaign next?
Its a possibility!
Great game. I wish they would get rid of this awful "engine" they use and pay more attention to presentation. I bet it would make it more popular.
Cheers man! I'd love the engine to be updated, both in terms of graphics and ease of use, but given that the game is made by such a tiny team it seems pretty unlikely.
@@usuallyhapless9481 Yeah, I know, it's a bit of shame. I am still going to buy Shock Force 2 when it's out.
What all mods do you use? This looks incredible
Its all Kieme's and Vein's mods, with the HQS sound pack on top. Except the close up and the Apache in the intro. That's ARMA.
Did you forget to turn your mic on?
