I was 10 years old in 1967 working at my dad's "Lumpy Lot" Learning to drive in those sweet old muscle cars. Thinking of how if a 62 Impala wouldn't start you would check the spark, pull the cap off, use a match book cover to set the points. And off you would go. Now just call AAA on your cell phone flatbed it to the shop. Back then $10,000. was the same as $100,000. is today. Back then young men were dying in foreign wars, race riots in our cities. Back then we had to hack up the interior if you wanted more than one radio speaker. now even Kia's have 9 speakers. And now we have 12 airbags per car and better doctors. Now we have light rail cars like we had downtown in the 1920'sMy life is the best it has ever been. But everyone needs to feel what its like to drive a 1964 SS Malibu hardtop with a 4-speed and a lumpy cam and skinny tires. Thanks for the pics.
So many AWESOME cars just dieing in the world. Charger, Challenger, Mustang, Chevelle and so MANY more. So many cars that can be restored, but so many cares not or won`t sell:(
Yeah and then there are people who really really wish they had that car to really restore it right now and not some day. I'm 15 years old and my biggest car based dream is to locate, buy and restore a 1958 Plymouth Belvedere and most important not some day when I get one I start working on it imidietly!
Should have sadder music ya know like amazing grace or the song from the starving kids commercial or the pet adoption thing.... All of it breaks my heart
Just think...when these cars were first bought, the owners had so much pride in them...then through the years and many different owners, they became junks...just an old used car not worth anything.
Hard to see some of those cars wrecked and just rotting away.....but I guess that's what makes the survivors so valuable.
..rust in peace fellas..
..we salute you!!!
with love from New Zealand!

بارك الله فيك
That line has been the death of many good cars
The really only difference is that the dodges used the charger bodies, and the plymouths used the road runner bodies.
70' superbird, which is the plymouths version of the dodge daytona.
even rusty crusty could make a nice museum back in the day when cars went 165 out of the box
That is indeed a charger, 68-69 vintage.
3:57 Z Frank Chevrolet 6060 N. Western Ave Chicago, IL Gone for years now. We used to street race right there on Peterson between the cemeteries.
Love the Dodge cars
Muscle WILL LIVE ON FOR EVER
it seems a lot of those cars still have a chance at survival, but sadly that road runner at :45 is too far gone.
RIP all the muscle cars rotting away
@TheAnthony5540 its actually a plymouth superbird but there are only a few differences.
Rest in piece??? Rescue them!!!!! Plenty of good builders in that video
Seeing the charger at 1:55 just makes me wonder why no one wants to give it love
Should have sadder music ya know like amazing grace or the song from the starving kids commercial or the pet adoption thing.... All of it breaks my heart

I certainly agree we need to save the cars, but, that was pretty nasty. Even said jokingly, ya' gotta worry about karma at some point.

because they all used to be worthless until the late 90's/early 2000's.
I'm dying for it
@TheAnthony5540 Yes it is. That is an expensive car to just let it sit like that.
@gas2096 These are all various places and sorry I don't know where these are located.
