I grew up in a street rod family appreciating each and every old car I came across. Cars had more distinctive individual personality back then than todays computer created multi-platform models companies make just to stay in business. Even the new Camaros, Challengers and Mustangs are simply a makers dangling carrot to lure someone in to buy something and none are anything special really. I always dreamed of building a 40 Ford slantback like Jerry Moreland had in the 80s. Dreams.
I too can't believe that 55 Nomad is just sitting there. Of all the car sold by GM in 1955, the Nomad was the rarest as a % built . There was a 110, sedan delivery in Back To The Future, the base 150 Bel Air , then the 2 dr sloped pillar Nomad with tailgate ribs and Gold Nomad badge .
Can you please tell us me where this magical place is I would giggling like a madman at the sight of those tri-five chevys! The 55 Nomad! Oh its a vacation hot spot Where is it ! Please!!!!
wrecking 1962 in st johns oregon sixth time northwest champion for NASCAR the last 6 years they ran in west coast is very power number was five and five not 55 if you have i don't remember my dad young and i don't remember any other race car numbers he had if you could help me out in any way with any info i truly appreciate it thank you and god bless
Where exactly are these cars? I know of some guys that are looking for some thing just like that to restore or build a streetrod. Please let me know if you will. Thanks.
BTW, good luck trying to find a japanese auto graveyard for 50+ year old cars. My Honda civic rusted out in just 3 winters and had the exhaust systems replaced. It was a throw-away car in 1976 for just $3300.00 .
Great cars, even bautifull in the rust... Almost unbelievable, see the grate state the chrome is in by some of these cars! Is that the capitol tower in the background?? Ha Ha Ha guess not!

Out of all these cars, have you ever happen to come across a Mercury Montego, or Lincoln Continentals?
