He's a beautiful dancer and his explanations are all technically correct. The problem is that there's not enough repetition so that true beginners can learn the footwork. For example, when he did little-little-big - great tip, incidentally - he showed it once slowly, then just took off. True beginners need more repetition, and it's frustrating to keep using the back arrow. Also, more close-ups on the feet would be helpful. On the upside, he's got a pleasant voice and he wears clothes that allow us to see how his body sways. If it were just a bit slower and reiterative, it would be perfect for those of us who are nascent dancers. Thank you.
What I meant to say was, "I thought I had rhythm until I tried swing dancing. Now, even the fundamental steps are making me feel uncoordinated." But that was weeks ago, and I'm much better now. :)
In swing dancing, triple steps are syncopated. You are taking the same amount of time for each step. That works for salsa or cha-cha, but the timing is completely wrong for swing dancing.
I see the same thing with people who do a lot of Jive (as in ballroom style); it's a learned thing - he's probably awesome at that! I am sure he'd loosen up on the night :-)
This isn’t right for dancing Triple swing it’s rock step triple step So for a girl is back right, forward right, triple step to right, than triple step to left. And repeat, for boys it’s opposite

Thank you very much!
It's fine when you're counting the steps, but when the music plays I can't get my body/brain to step to beats I don't hear.
it's perfect explanation!
Why is this so easy but I’m having such a hard time with it? ☹️
I am too. The speed is throwing me off lol
Gonna impress my BF with my new dance skills
For timing, how about a dotted eighth note- a sixteenth note-and a quarter note?
+Dick Carter Yes. Are you a musician?
