Had my first swing dance lesson yesterday and the teacher was very impressed with how quickly I picked it up. I love swing!! I have unleashed the love of a new hobby!!
Just did this alone in my house and then danced for another 15 minutes. oh my god its so much fun!!! i definitely need some practice to get up to tempo for most swing music but wow!!
Glad to see you approaching the swing rhythm. Seems to be lost in many circles now. Using the real swing music helps but many times it's not addressed. Very good demonstration of the feel and rhythm
hii from uk.... you guys are so amazing .. so clear in your explanation its so easy to understand what exactly the feet are doing to keep to the beat...I love you guys .. thanks so sooo much !!
Hi @puggle79. The shoes I'm wearing in this video are CAMPERS but from several years ago. Not exactly dancing shoes but I like how comfortable they are and the height of the heel, plus the strap which keeps them on. - Evita
Hahaha 🤣 Yep. Practice. Build up your tempo gradually. Just like a musician would do when working on a complicated section. Your leg strength, stamina and accuracy will get better. Also, stay in place. Don’t move so much side to side.
Hi Joe, sorry this response took so long. The song we demo to towards the end of the video is called “Downtown Slump” by Glenn Crytzer and the Savoy Seven. On the album Uptown Jump. Here it is on Spotify open.spotify.com/track/3mb4bXAS298vBTxrNy3rmy?si=rEXEYOVVS9uxVlX8ZB97qg&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A5Eqr0CBdGFLegMFdaf6afU

Excellent video! Contrasting the rhythms of "Jingle Bells" and "Jingle Bell Rock" was genius.
This is one of the best lessons in Lindy Hop I’ve ever had. Thank you.
Evita! Evita! Evita! This class is really awesome! I think Every beginners should see this
Thank you, this was so helpful. I really needed to understand these steps properly to get any further!
Thank you for this. You guys are very good at breaking down and explaining the triple step :)

It’s soooo difficult!

Wow, i use same explanation))
good parter
Thank you for explaining in a very easy way and the female teacher is cute🙏
She is cute, yes, but I would go to dinner with him! Aw shucks, I'd do more than go to dinner with him. He needs to be rewarded for his good work.
I feel like you could teach me how to build a bridge... or a car.. or a nuclear power plant...
That girl can talk... But good video
Evita is hot....🤷♂️
