- Today, I am reviewing American Airlines in Economy (Main Cabin) on the Boeing 777-300. On this flight from London Heathrow to New York JFK, I share my thoughts on their hard product, their service, and the overall American economy experience.

Another great airline review! Well done Jack.
Thanks a lot!
Great Video. I like your way of presenting your experience. But I have a question, how did you created the animation at 0:40? Have a nice day!
Great blog bro. Subscribed!
Thanks!
My kids flew American economy 2 weeks ago and said they were treated very badly. They are flying World traveler seats on the way back so we will see the difference
You have helped me change my mind from trying out BA for my first trip to the UK. I'll stick with AA. Thank you.
So good video again, thank you 👍
Thanks!
Welcome to NYC Jack. Can't wait to see what you're gonna choose for destination in New York City.
Thanks!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I thought I will return flight by JAL but I misunderstood. I feel so anxious but this helps me consider my AA flights.
Thank you, I will consider your review
Let me know how your flight goes! Looking into AA
Great review! I'm going to NYC in March with American from Paris. Paid €404 return in economy from CDG to JFK - found it really cheap for a direct flight of that distance!
Thanks! Yes, that's great value for a transatlantic flight.
I flew from Paris to Chicago in American Airlines economy. Having never done long haul, and being used to Ryanair…… the free food and drink, TV, and charging ports, was revolutionary for me 😂
Crew at American get to bid on what trips they want, and the more senior you are, you get priority to be given the trip. There will be a few times only young crew work, especially around the holidays.
I'm soon to be flying AA LHR-PHL, and returning JFK-LHR - your review has dispelled some of my worries! Given that my ticket includes UK domestic flights and two US domestic flights, and cost €650, I wasn't expecting much!
My dad is a Captain for American, and he flies the A320 family of planes (A319, idk if he’s flown the A320, he almost always flies the A321). And he was apart of the last American Airlines crew to fly the MD-80 out of DFW
You’re confused. You said you dad flies the A320 then immediately said you don’t know if he flies the A320. I don’t think you even have a father who’s an airline pilot at all
@@StonedUp1 I said the A320 family, not the A320 itself
@@StonedUp1Bro the A320 family is four airplanes not including long range or NEO options. Enlighten yourself before trying to sound well versed.
@@StonedUp1 To be clear, he was referring to A320 family(A320F), which consist of airbus a318, a319, a320, a321. AA has the largest fleet of A321, A319 comes to second, and A320 is the least.
A good review, detailed and interesting. You deserve a cigar sir, keep up the awesome work!
Thanks a lot!
I love American I flew 10 trips last year including a trip to London and it was fantastic service. That was over 20 flights and everyone on time. Of course, I’m sure they have issues , delays as all airlines do but I don’t understand why there is so much negativity out there and some people seem just to want to bash them. Maybe because they’re the worlds largest airline. Who knows but it’s bizarre. I’ve had fantastic experiences over the last few years 🇺🇸
I was actually a lot happier with AA than I was with united. Both were cross country flights. United was a 737 max 9 and AA was an Airbus 321. AA I got an alcoholic drink for free as where united you don't. Sitting in comfort plus. Overall better flight crew and AA the pilot the landing was super smooth. Now next month will be my first experience with Delta.
I flew them twice in 2022 and again this past September, both times to Madrid, from Philadelphia. Much of the hate they get is from passengers who got delayed and missed connections, which I understand, but there will be similar hate for any airline in such circumstances. 6/10 is what I would give them too. I also flew their premium economy class, which was quite affordable in 2022. PE on AA is honestly great, worth the money if it is only 20% over main cabin fare, more than that and I wouldn't pay it.
The crew are old because long haul trips are usually flown by senior crew who have been around a long time, this has its pros but a lot of cons.
What are the cons in your opinion?
unfriendly tired old quees. no more language skills. no more sensitive attitude towards customers@@markgellert1
Great video!
Regarding your comment on crew’s age, they’re old because they are unionized and get schedule preferences on long-haul international flights.
Thanks a lot! That's what I assumed.
the tired old queens fly with an ignorant way to treat customers.
Thanks for the information!
Hey 40/50 is not old.
I think this review would be very different if you flew AA from Charlotte to Miami
American Airlines is like a flying septic tank. The toilet is located in the middle of the plan about a third of the plane stunk.
Had a very rude flight attendant from Dallas to Louisville! Don’t fly American anymore.
How long was immigration queue?
About 30 minutes
American airlines (all of the big three not just AA explicitly) are "decent". They do not compete on service. They compete on non stop route and schedule. Non US carriers will always tend to have better service because that's how they compete. US carriers tend to just have a better route structure (from an American travelers perspective). In general i choose them last if the timing of the flights is equal. But they often offer the best non stop or one stop routes with the lowest layover times when flying into the US.
2:12 a bottle uh watuh
One complaint I have about American Airlines is I don’t want to hear about the exit row or be bothered with it. They need to figure something so their passengers are not bothered at all, and I mean at all with any discussions of exit rows…..ever again
You want to wait until the cabin catches fire to hear where the exits are? Wild
AA have very rude crews
impolite and rude
Really? Found them no different to any other.
I fly AA all the time never had a problem. Maybe you were an A-hole that’s why 😅
BTW, the average age of AA fleet is the youngers among all 3 major US carriers. AA and United have been struggling with improving the in-flight services or customer service in general. Both tried to offer retirement to older (less friendly) employees who learned to do the bare minimum. Changing the overall culture is difficult and takes time. They have succeeded to a certain degree to ensure long-haul flights and popular flights get staff by 'better' employees. However, it is still a far cry from other airlines where the FA would go and clean the restroom on a regular basis, hence the nasty restroom in all AA flights. AA is also eliminating their International First Class product by the end of 2024, I guess that's a way to deal with un-satisfactory in-flight services for premium travelers and reduce the amount of complains. I personally avoid AA and United, I would rather pay more for better service than put up with poor customer services especially when I am paying several thousands or more for the seat.
American is one of those airlines that I’ll fly only if I have to. They do have a pretty bad rap for poor customer service and relations. Not as bad as United of course.
For me, American is ok if it’s the cheapest option and it’s not going too far. I could never imagine going to Europe or Asia with them I’m much much more satisfied with Economy products on European carriers of which I usually can find good deals or at worst, are only marginally more expensive.
But I appreciate these videos very much! I loved visiting Luxembourg 🇱🇺 ❤️ Beautiful city. Would gladly go back

LHR - JFK is medium haul.
I don't think that Coke was a very healthy option ... Heathrow is an airport I'd usually avoid like the plague. Far too large, imho.
Pretty useless comment. He clearly meant the poke bowl.
@@markgellert1 Your comment on the other hand is really impressive. Go tell you rmommie I said that.
booked the flight, but it never came on, and today, I missed my international flight because of America airlines . I see that today so who will I pay the extra money to travel to another country? So I paid double Ma, so I see that this is the airline's mistake. If flight delay many people are suffering if you’re late, so we paid the money, we cannot take the refund or anything airlines.
9:34, 299 Euros for a 1 way flight on 7 and a half hour is not bad.
Yes, it was great value.
I don't fly AA. I'm looking at a stupid flight from DCA to DFW to Auckland to Christchurch...
15 hours on the long bit.... In economy.
I'm just getting scared.
I fly BA business with my points and am spoiled for a vague attempt at privacy but with a flat bed
Yeah.... The business is $24,000 USD yeah. Maybe I'll try another time....😮😢😮
Your comedic punchlines are EVERYTHING! I'm a (very) frequent flyer of American and as such, I neither read nor believe any reviews left by idiotic cry babies on Trip Advisor who only fly once a decade. Nobody should.

Excellent review! I have flown American several times and always found them pretty average - not that good, but not terrible either. So I probably agree with your rating.
10:45 what a savage line 🤣 Just destroyed those fanboys with one sentence.
Thanks a lot!
Have you tried kosher to see how it is?
You should fly with Japan airlines
I have an old video about them. They were pretty fantastic. I should definitely fly them again.
AA International is decent (3 stars) but AA domestic is garbage (1 star). Best airlines I’ve been Jordanian, Qatar, and Emirates all 5 stars.
This is not my experience on my domestic flight from. New York most of the flight attendants were very rude and I was charged $75 because I forgot my ticket! I tried to complain and was told they don't have a customer care line nor was my letter to The C.E.O. Answered! When I had a second home in Palm Springs Ca. I had very little choice to Oklahoma city so I would have take American or United another airline disliked with United one crew would be great another a crew from hell!
US airlines on domestic routes are terrible. They are 2-3x more expensive than their EU counterparts with less comfort and services offered.
American carriers aren't heavily subsidized or outright owned by a country like other international carriers i.e. Qatar, Emirates, Etihad.
I've flown domestic in the US only a couple times. Honestly, all the staff seemed to have to idea what they were doing and both times everything was running late and slightly chaotic. However, for only a 1h30 flight, it really didn't bother me.
They are the worst by any measure.
What’s the problem with having cabin attendants in their 40s and 50s? What, you expected 18 year old anorexic supermodels?
I didn't say it was a problem, I just mentioned it.
It was very unkind and unnecessary to mention age . Monthly flight schedules are awarded on the basis of seniority…, it works this was for flight attendants and pilots ..
@@jeanettejacobs8132it’s only unkind if YOU believe there’s something wrong with that age.
It's based on seniority. Attendants with seniority get first choice on the best routes. They can be older, but seniority is based on years of service.
@@jeanettejacobs8132 wah
Trash Trash and Trash!!!! the world airlines ever to come, the rudest employees, the world seats, food, I'm flying with a Boeing 777 long haul now, and it's terrible! I will never ever fly American for long haul not matter what's the cost! and I don't mean to be negative or anything it's just fact and my experience.
NO INTERNATIONAL FIRST CLASS CABIN. AA is primitive and offers no luxury at all. Meal looked disgusting. No Style No elegance, no nothing.American is a run down company. I love AIR FRANCE in LA PREMIERE FIRST CLASS. BEYOND ANYTHING.
I hate luxury it makes me mad they’ve wasted money. My money they made me pay them for stupid things
Air France is heavily subsidized. So of course they can afford the finer amenities because it isn't coming out their pockets.
no it is because they love customers. THEY OFFER A FIRST CLASS CABIN. WITH ALL OF THE LUXURIES THAT MY HUSBAND AND ME LOVE: THEY SPEAK FRENCH GERMAN ENGLISH. On AA nothing. No elegance no style. NO MORE INTERNATIONAL FIRST CLASS CABIN. AF is not a state owned airline. They are profitable because they care. And pretty soon they will introduce their brand new FIRST CLASS CABIN. AA is run down. I would not waste money on them. United is even worse@@RF-lg4rq
a joke. @@RF-lg4rq
1:14, 🤣😠What? That's not nice. American airlines services is good and better than China Eastern.
no first class cabin
I have never been treated so poorly by customer service in my life never again not to mention they cost me another $300 from their mistakes
