My son gave me one of the Beelink 5700U systems for christmas. I'd wanted a low power mini PC for everyday use and light gaming. I have my custom built gaming rig for the more demanding stuff, but it absolutely drinks power. Power ain't cheap these days, so it didn't really make sense to keep that power hungry rig running to watch RUclips or shop on Amazon. So far the Beelink is doing everything I want it to do, although i'm probably going to upgrade it from 16 to 32GB of RAM in the near future.
The real review we need is a long term review to see if this products last or just fail. There are some bad reviews of these that time mention that they aren’t reliable. There is something suspect about these specs and prices.
Interesting idea to compare the two processors, but RAM useage is sus between the two computers. System RAM readings are incorrect on the 5500u. - Killing Floor 2: 5500u using 3gb RAM vs 5700U using 8.5gb of RAM? And the 5500u is only 4fps slower? - Metro Last Light: 5500u is only using 130mb of RAM, while the 5700u is using 5.5gb of ram and is only 2fps faster? etc... (not going to type out each game results) Don't add up. 1. Is the RAM verified to be dual channel? 2. RAM running at 3200MHz for both CPUs? 3. Are games really at the same settings? Should include Settings screen for each game on both systems. 4. Are both systems running the same background processes and programs?
