    I am so grateful for you. My hair has been falling out for months and my blood works came back normal so I think it’s stress related. I feel less of a woman and I’m embarrassed. I’m very thankful for your channel x

    I 100% agree with all of this. I had TE two years ago. I rushed to the doctor and freaked out. I bought all the products and even got prescriptions for hair products. After the initial two months of panic, I settled down. I lost hair for a solid 8 months and then it really settled down. I could see new hairs growing and that was helpful too. If you truly have T.E. it really should be temporary and your hair will come back. My daughter as PCOS and has and androgen hair loss. It's very thin and especially in certain areas. She takes hormones, but nothing has truly helped. My husband has had alopecia from an immune disorder flare up. His loss was complete fall out, not thinning. He had bare scalp on large areas of his scalp and bear area. That also came back after a while of healing and good health. Get a diagnosis and know what you are dealing with.

    Thank you for your videos. I’m currently going through what I believe is TE. It started after an eye injury in November 2018. Then it really speed up 2 months after my dad killed himself at the end of December. My hair was shedding all the time. Now it’s slowed down but I still get a lot in the shower. It’s really depressing when I look in a mirror. I have fine hair but I used to have a tone of it. It feels less full now and I have a more noticeable part. Some thinner temples. It’s hard not to be worried. But your videos have really educated and helped me push past it and be more patient. Your hair has really grown and gives others hope.

      Jennifer, we have similar hair loss timelines! It’s distressing that I’m also still losing so much hair after all these months and can definitely relate to the worry you are feeling. But it’s comforting knowing I’m not alone :) hope we both get through this, lots of love ❤️

    I had TE last year and went through a shedding period of about 6 months. I did not use any specific brand of supplements, although I did start taking a women's multivitamin and fish oil. To be honest, I am not sure how effective they were, as I have always eaten responsibly, but I still take the supplements just in case. Brown eyeshadow is very helpful with covering up thin spots around the part and the hairline. I also got in the habit of just putting my hair back in a clip on top of my head, because I felt like the less I touched it, the fewer hairs that would fall out, and the hair was strategically piled on my head to help cover my thinning scalp. What really helped was trying to find other things to occupy myself so that I would not stress as much over waiting to see if my hair would come back. I have lots of new growth of about 2 inches or so around my head, and it looks odd up against the longer hair, but I'm so happy it is growing. However: I have heard that sometimes the hair will come back with a different texture or feel sometimes. My new growth is mostly white, so now I am debating dying it.

      Love that you have been using brown eye shadows and living that multipurpose lifestyle! Agree with the clip, I found myself doing that quite a bit! Glad that you are seeing regrowth, just keep up the positivity and good lifestyle choices!

    Thank God for women like yourself and the supportive community I've come across on RUclips. The last few months I've been spoken over and spoken down to by several doctors. I've been given different diagnosis but no solutions. I've basically been my own advocate and been doing my own research. If I didn't have the support of other women my mental state would not be great right now.

    Wow your hair looks so much thicker and fuller. Can I ask, where did you have most hair loss from? Sides, temples, or back? Mine is mostly on the sides sadly. Did you ever have visible bald spots, or visible patchiness?

    • @LAURENNEWLY
      @LAURENNEWLY  5 лет назад +3

      My hair fall was pretty even throughout (diffused) but I did have a spot in the very front that got really dry and itchy so I had more fall out. All came back the same in the end, no bald spots or patches for me tho during shedding.

    I can't tell if I have tE or a alopecia areata... my hair sheds after like 4 to 6 months but at the same time I got a bald spot at my crown it first started off at the size of a dime and then it look like a size of a donut in a matter of months that was a few years ago but I thought about 40% of the back in the crown area but my hair still sheds... this is the stuff happens during a stressful event but I haven't been through no stressful event 3 months ago.... I'm a guy maybe some days I want to grow an afro I can't because my hair falls out and it doesn't grow... I cut it off and it looks like I have no problems with my hair but when I grow it out it looks horrible this time I'm not cutting it this time I'm going to let it grow out and see what happens because every time I shed it out I would cut it off but I feel like I'm starting over the whole process when I cut my hair off this time I'm letting it grow or run its course

      I had a stressful event back in 2007 bad relationship that's why I knew it started from but I don't remember being stressed out no other than that but my hair should have been back

    Hi Lauren, thanks so much for the video! I have one question. You said the best is to focus on diet, exercise and stress levels, but I'd love to know more about which else you took? like vitamins or products or in which video can I find those. Thanks so much for the info.!

    Hello I'm a man 36 years old . In December i went to a cruise in which I was exposed heavily to the sun. My scalp ended sore and red . In January I noticed my hair started shedding a lot . Now it's been nearly 6 months since then, I can see my scalp clear but without any improvement I have shed all these six months. I can see some baby and fine hairs in my scalp .however I also shed baby short hairs is it normal ? Would dermapen work to speed up the process ? In what stage do you think I am ? I would appreciate your response I'm so sad about this as I dont see any improvement. I applied minoxidil for a month but I decided to not keep doing. I'm applying extract of mint ,rosemary alcohol based but all natural and sometimes dermapen . Do you think this is ok ?

    If someone can recommend me a good doctor (dermatologist or endocrinologist or trichologist) in LA please let me know. I went to one of the best dermatologists for hair loss at UCLA hospital and the only thing she gave me was minoxidil for 6 months. Not even a laboratory test or anything. Please I need help.
