In my life nothing had brought me more satisfaction than convincing others. Especially the belief that you have to suffer yourself to suit other people or hurt others in order to get your own benefit seems to dominate. People feel disadvantaged, anxious, and uncertain among other negative emotional states and health effects when they believe in something wrong. You have to work with this by showing them that the beliefs that are opposite to theirs are actually true. You're convincing others exactly by bringing positive emotions and removing the feeling of disadvantage both short-term and in the long run. This will make the people you're convincing to feel an advantage over their previous beliefs and bring them other emotional benefits together with a real gain thus actually convincing them. You also will feel much better yourself while freeing others from their flawed beliefs. Actually acknowledging and correcting your own mistakes helps by the way.
