      Don't worry about it, you'll get there. It's definitely a process and takes a lot of practice. But with every set you will learn more and get better I promise! I've seen many people start out and now I'm just mind blown have far they've come. My cookoes used to look terrible when I started, so don't give up, you got this!

    Thank you for your fantastic videos so glad you talk us through every step. If you are using flood/out line all in one, do you still put the little squiggles in the smaller spaces?

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  6 месяцев назад

      Thank you!! I always use 2 consistencies, but if you're only using 1, you would normally have it thicker than a regular flood, so it wouldn't be so prone to cratering. So you wouldn't need the squiggle.

    Are the squiggles to prevent craters? How long before you finish filling?

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  6 месяцев назад

      Yes! They help prevent craters. I usually do the squiggly and then flood right after! I don't wait for it to dry!

  • @PamVarnell-gq6kq
    @PamVarnell-gq6kq 6 месяцев назад +1

    Why did you not put squiggles on the top red section before you flooded it?

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  6 месяцев назад

      Sometimes if I think the area is big enough I won't do it. Or if I'm piping on a layer of icing that is just crusted over it I may not as it's not always needed. Or if I'm using my outline to fill it then I won't squiggle either

  • @karenwashburn829
    @karenwashburn829 6 месяцев назад +1

    When you add the black, is the base color partially dried or fully dry

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  6 месяцев назад +1

      The base is partially dry, so it has crusted over but if I push my finger on the icing it would push through. But you can pipe and it will stay on top of the cookie

    I tried the first Christmas tree but when i went to do the dots, i presumed it was with your outline icing but I'm getting little tails as i dot them, any suggestions? That part of the video i fast, so wasn't sure how exactly how you were doing them, thanks!😅

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  5 месяцев назад

      Which cookie was it? I've posted so many videos I'm not sure anymore 🙈🤣 but if you are doing any wet on wet designs it's always best to use your flood for the dots. If it's dots on dry icing and you get peaks you can try using your flood with almost no pressure on the bag or you can use your outline but then touch the top with your scribe and sort of push down the peak or lay it a bit flat!

    • @cathymartin3379
      @cathymartin3379 5 месяцев назад

      @@LittleCookieCo the first Christmas tree in this video with the little red dots as garland. I thought from your video its dry on dry, I did try pushing them down but they were stubborn lol. I'll try again with your suggestions, thanks again!

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  5 месяцев назад

      Ah ok! Sorry yes, I know what you mean now. And it was on dry icing, but it could be your icing is a bit stiff so when you pull up it's coming up. Mine also may look perfect but they do sometimes have a bit of a peak too. Try going in with the scribe or thinning down your icing just slightly, and when you put the dot on, make sure your bag is right above the cookie and almost squish the dot if icing against your cookie then let go of the pressure and lift up. Hopefully that will help break the tail and not have it stick up so much

    • @cathymartin3379
      @cathymartin3379 5 месяцев назад

      @@LittleCookieCo I'll keep that in mind for my next try, thank you! When you suggest thinning down the icing, I'm presuming i have to empty the bag back into a bowl, thin it then put it back into a bag? I'm guessing there's no way to thin what you are already using in the bag?

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  5 месяцев назад

      Yeah you'd have to put it back into the bowl. I mean you could add a touch of water to the bag and smash it around til mixed 🤣 but it's probably not the best method and you may add too little or too much water. I'd only re mix some water if it was really bad (it bugged you a lot) or your scribe wasn't doing the job well. But I can guarantee most people wouldn't notice those tiny details. You could also just knock them off with the scribe too once dry, I've also done that a few times 🤣🤣 fun and effective haha
