I am a professional baker also (everyone's happy to get a little sweet) lol. I love watching others work when I am stuck home sick, it's relaxing. Love your videos, you're wonderful. Keep up the good vibes!
Tip for ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE watching a tutorial of any kind. If background music/noise is interfering with your learning, turn on captions, and turn down the volume. Also, most phones allow user to enlarge the picture at least a bit for a clearer view of the details. Happy cookie-ing, friends! 😊 🍪 😄
Your videos are wonderful i enjoy watching them because i learn alot, thank you! Could i ask you please put background music lower, it cover up your voice is really hard to hear you inhave to repeat many times to hear what you are saying in some parts plus the music makes me headache, is to much noise im teying to concentrate to learn from you and i want to know word but word what exactly you are saying and i really dont want to listen any music or anything else than you, i know its your chanel, your videos and is your choose but i am only asking to reduce the music volume so we can hear you clearly and better, but if this bothers you i am sorry I didn’t mean at all and please disregard my comment
Hey Lolly! I'm new to your chanel, but I love you seem to be an amazing artist when it comes to cookies. I am an absolute begginer, but I want to make some special cookies for friends and teachers to give to them on the last day of school, and I have a couple of questions about decorating cookies. You added a dot pattern with an edible food marker, but would I be able to add it with small dots of frosting? Would that still look cute, or would the bumps make it look too complicated? Another option I thought of was a technique I have seen people do called wet on wet, do you think it would look good if I were to add slightly darker orange dots to the fill? Which one do you think would look better, or should I invest in edible food markers? Another question I have is, when filling with the flood consistency frosting, how do I prevent a visible distinction between the flood and the outline? I also was wondering if it is better for the cookie istelf to be more soft or more, like hard in order to decorate it better? How long does it take for the frosting to harden, and should I wait for the flood base to harden completely before adding details or can I just wait for it to crust over? Does the flood consistency and the thicker frosting have different drying times? Can I use a ziplock sandwich bag in place of a piping bag? How long do the decorated cookies last, like how far ahead of time can I make them? Thank you so much for your time, and if anyone else is able to answer my questions, I would greatly appreciate a response!❤
I have used black sugar pearls for eyes on cookies, and they bleed into my flooded cookie. Can I ask you if you have any advise on this? Thank you for your tips.
You could try outlining around the words? The flood would be complicated, but probably doable. General words are added on top of the base icing layer tho.
When I need to wait for an iced cookie to completely set and dry, where do I put it? Do I need to put them in the fridge? Leave them out on the counter? (Wouldn’t that dry them out, texture wise?)
Yes, cookies need to be out at room temperature to dry, but there are numerous ways you can arrange them so that they're covered and protected. Cookies for decoration are typically sturdy and don't stale quickly (e.g., buttery sugar cookies; gingerbread), so they can tolerate not being immediately stored in an air-tight container or resealable food bag. Putting iced cookies in the fridge is never a really good idea, as royal icing is extremely sensitive to moisture (it will break down and dissolve), and the fridge can be a very humid environment. Having several sheet or baking pans that have sides deeper than a typical cookie sheet can be a tidy way to put drying cookies safely aside, as you can place drying cookies on the pans, and then stack them on top of each other criss-cross. Another option for a small space is to use stacking cooling racks.
I like to store mine with cooling racks. Add 2 or 3 on top of each other and don’t put any cookies on the top row; Instead I cover the whole thing with a flour sack towel, and leave it on the counter.
You are so humble in your short, sweet, to the point channel ad. 🥹 I love that in a creator/teacher! ♥️ I’m so glad the algorithm introduced you to me! You have a new subscriber, btw! I hope this comment boosts you into the algorithm of others who have not found your channel yet!

Thank you!!
Your videos are so informative I wish your camera person could go up closer to many of your cookies it’s far away to see details

I have learned a lot watching this. Thank you for sharing your knowledge here.
Thank you for all the tips , I am a beginner
Your cookies in your intro about your channel are Awesome!!!!
That looks so much better
Instead of a scribe tool for smoothing your icing, Ijust shake my cookie and it settles it down evenly.
I do too!!😂
Either way works! 😊
Thank you, this was so helpful.
Thank you for taking time to show your techniques XO
Is your icing Royal icing as I hate that kind because it turns hard. I like soft icing but you do a great job!!

Awesome Tips. Thank you
I would love to attend your cookie camp
I admire your mastery!
Thanks for the video! Do you have any advice on storage, or the best way to let the icing set before storage?

Want to learn how to decorate. I have just found your channel and i subscribed..😊
Welcome!!
What count consistency do you use for your piping and outlining? Thanks.
The piping is thicker, like yogurt, and the flood is about 60 seconds.
I would like to know more about your workshop. Can you send me details? Thank you!
Very helpful video 😃 thank you 💕
Hello, how're you doing today...
I have used black sugar pearls for eyes on cookies, and they bleed into my flooded cookie. Can I ask you if you have any advise on this? Thank you for your tips.
Hello Daniela, how're you doing today...
Great tips that I have not run across after two days of scrolling
Hello Lois, how're you doing today!!!
I have just bought cookie cutters with words in the middle. How do I flood the cookie without covering up the words?
You could try outlining around the words? The flood would be complicated, but probably doable. General words are added on top of the base icing layer tho.
@resurrectionist5112 yeah but the cookie cutters has the word in the middle of the cut. So, I can't paint it on later
I have my own cottage food business making cookies. I actually have two businesses.
We need some close up shots please

What is the icing you used for the ruffle?
Like the videos but would like to see what happens when you make the mistakes.
I love your video but I hope next time make it more zoom your work so I can see how you do the little detail.
I thought it was a turkey until she turned it upside down!
You need to get closeup shots with your camera so we can see details. Thanks.
Noted!
Cheryl's cookies nasty cookies, just sugar and water.
Great info but what if u are not artistic at all
