  • Walk through with me as I learn how to replace the passenger side mirror housing on my 2018 Honda Civic Si coupe. I don't know what caused the housing to break, but can only assume someone hit it in a parking lot.

Thank you very much for this. The key point, for me, was prying the mirror off of the gimbal. I had no idea that it was merely snap-fitted onto the gimbal, and that it could be gently pried off. I was about to return the housing and cap that I had bought and buy an entire new mirror assembly. After watching this, I was able to wrap up the job quickly. 😊

You're the best man. Saved me $800! Dealer quoted me a full driver side mirror replacement when the housing unit only needed to be replaced.

Thanks for doing the dirty work 😀This is exactly what I need. I’ll hope it works out when the housing arrives next week. If I escape injury free it will truly be miraculous, thanks again!

You have truly blessed me with this video. Every quote I got for this was to replace the whole mirror which would run me over $1000 for my 2021 civic hatchback. I knew there had to be a way to fix just the housing/skull cap and you were the only video I could find on how to do this. I took the chance of doing this by myself (plus my father to assist) which saved me over $900. Thank you so much!! All the best to you!

I really appreciate you making this video. The lowest quote to replace this was 800$. Another dealership quoted 1400$. I bought the genuine parts from Honda and replaced it myself thanks to this video.

Thanks for a very informative video. I paid approx. $75 for the outside housing and skull cap. Found it simple to replace with your instructions and saved probably $350 plus installation. Everyone told me I had to replace the total assemble but, thanks to you, I found out I didn't.

Thank you so much for making this video! I was able to replace my housing in 15 minutes! Wouldn't have figured out how to do it otherwise. I also think it's cool that you and your son both have a Civic!

You're awesome! Dealer quoted me around $800 even though the camera and electrical components were still working great. Very good guide.

Thank you! I knew this was relatively straightforward and did not want to pay the $300 for a whole new mirror when just the plastic was cracked. I just couldn't figure out how to remove the white mirror mount. Thank you you for showing us! Saved me a TON. You are a great man!

Thank you so much! Most helpful video I found on the subject. Just a couple of replays, $115 in parts, and an hour of my time and my passenger side mirror is good as new!
