🌟 Welcome back to our Toulouse journey, Day 2 edition!
Today was all about tackling some practicalities as international students settling into this vibrant city. Our quest for SIM cards led us to Orange, but here's the twist - before getting a SIM, we needed a local bank account. Off we went to BNP Paribas, only to discover that a rental contract needed to be initiated first. A bit of a bureaucratic maze, but all part of the experience!
Despite the SIM and bank account hurdles, our day took an exciting turn when we stumbled upon the local farmers' market. Surprisingly, we encountered fellow Kannadigas who were incredibly friendly and shared insightful tips. Their suggestion led us to Primark, a treasure trove for budget-friendly winter wear! With winter approaching, we splurged a bit and bought 85 Euros worth of cozy essentials.
To spice things up, we tried a Spanish dish called empanada but found it didn't quite match our taste preferences. Exploring new cuisines is always an adventure, even if it doesn't always hit the mark!
Wrapping up our eventful day, we headed back home, reflecting on the challenges and discoveries that come with settling into a new country. The journey might have had its ups and downs, but each experience adds a new layer to our international student life in Toulouse.
