Heck these plyometrics aren't even specifically for jumpers, sprinters and any other explosive athlete can do them too! Yuri V was a revolutionary!
This is one of my favorite videos. It is a work of art.
You see, these young gents were born of the gazelle family.
No they were not, they are lions who catch the gazelles.
Fantastic! Thanks for posting!
Yes, absolutely would... and actually they aren't showing the whole package in that video. In talking with some Russian coaches, I found that when Brumel was jumping, training was focused on strength more than plyos. For Yaschenko, a balance of plyos and weights.
A Russian program from the 1980's that I have seen combines maximal olympic lifts and squats with plyometrics and jumping. So yes, they do it all.
Thanks for the comment!
Joel Smith can you give me the vertical workout that was used by these Russian coaches? Would be greatly appreciated
@@animalscars3799 What, the 4-year Olympic cycle training plan? Their 10 year plan from youth?
I need more guide on high jump training, please keep updating. 😍😍😍
Incredibly eficient!
2:47 the original "invisible box challenge"
This is only for experienced jumpers,
I use to do this and you have to be focus to perform good, If not you can damage yourself in many ways.
My father (ex-olympic athlete) told me that there was an Ukranian Triple Jumper who Depth-Blocked from 3m!!! I think now is in a wheelchair.
hi, is ur father still alive? would like to ask him some nutrition, recovery tips
@@decathlete2000 lmao only tip you need is what roids to inject
@@joys8634 cope harder, this is possible natural.
You are welcome!
Hello
Enjoy your videos very much. Question ? What was Yaschenko's vertical jump ?
Impressive!
Quality my reference point
THE CLASSIC PERFECT
so athletic!
I saw an interview with russian biomechanist Vladimir Zatsiorsky who was training olympians way back and he said they wouldn't do any plyo work unless the trainee was able to deadlift twice their bodyweight. Talking about standards...
2x bodyweight dead is super easy unless you're a girl. most guys can 2x right away on first deadlift session ever
@@jesusiskingofkingsz that's rediculous. 2x body weight deadlifting with no training is very rare.
@@Anon.G did 375 at 160Ib with perfect form. Im pretty sure deadlifts are easier for us taller fellas.
@@Anon.Gsophomore year of highschool first time i entered the weightroom I deadlifted 2x bodyweight, with horrific form. But honestly it cant be that rare if I can do it
@@Ancient1341 it's pretty rare.
thanks joel, cool stuff as usual, looks like they definitely covered things in terms of plyos
the box to box to box jumps were very cool
from the look of them i'm wondering if a little more strength work would have benefited them, your thoughts?
explosive strenght work like box squats, cleans or trusting snatch-grip pulls are all used today with track e field athletes. its different from pure strenght training like powerlifters
Not necessarily. It might be just following those well- checked practical skills until perfection. The body motion and biophysics possess their own rights and it can be difficult, if not impossible, to come up with something new and revolutinary. I think that potential reserves could lay within the psychology rayher than actual training process.
Nice Movies! Thanks a lot.
It isn't very hard to increase 10-25 in . vertical jump within 2 months if you have the correct eating plan and right exercise routines
You will discover more here:

Anyway, You got the site name spelled wrongly.
Check the correct one *--> **www.jumphighmanualnow.blogspot.com**
Dawn Theack It isnt hard to increase your vert 10-25 inches in two months? I disagree. There are no secrets in jump training. Been training for years now and every centimeter gained is huge. Nothing is that easy
Dahn: watch my MAHALO play list. In two of the vids in that play list I give all of the dimensions for the three sections of the stove, and dimensions for the jets and seep holes.
No es el entrenamiento, el resultado final, es más bien la capacidad ficica inata?
huh! here we are!
Just had a quick question, Russians are STILL dominating jumping events at olympics/worlds specifically the female LJ's and TJ's. Any ideas why? They have prob come up with some new and innovative stuff lol
This is a great video! Love the exercises shown. If watching make sure to practice quality over quantity! Over training is a huge mistake
Wow
Does anyone know if they do this much plyometric training in their routine? Or added other strengthening exercises also? Honestly curious. This is great stuff though! 🔥🔥
Dont know exactly but most likely they did 2-3 plyometric excercises followed by 1 maybe 2 olympic lifts
what is this song playing inthe background
so intense. i dream of being able to do those plyos and have the equipment. shame i get shin splints and stressfrractures from minimal plyos, cant break 2m because of it :/
Also l have shin splint but l adapted my body with exercise and l can do plyo or other jumps training

one things for sure none of these fools missed leg day
+Mooseboy240 seems like you missed all your brain days
@@antonko1717 don't be rude, it's kinda funny
sshh...don't tell anyone
soo, just by watching this, that guy looks like he is running heel toe, and jumping super high, he could easily outrun someone that way, if what i am watching is true? i mean if you can jump that high running that way, than i bet you could sprint rolling through too, maybe...
And those were just the woman ;)
they didn't skip leg day
I think its the shorts xD
Notice that they're all wearing Adidas
wtf how tall are they
6'2-6'6
A lot of the exercises are not polymetrics. Simple jump variations or just badly done weight training.
It is very dangerous if you do not have a strength base.
Generally, You need to be able to at least squat x2 your bodyweight before you do any jump training or depth jumps.
Also, you need to have correct periodization.
For instance, I do 9 weeks of jump training in order to get my body ready for 9 weeks of depth jumps. If I did not have that 9 weeks of jump training, and I hopped right into depth jumps, I would snap. Literally.
what does jump training mean?
ı did without that base but not injured and that 2 times bodyweight is not so necessary 1.5 is enough but ım not expert
Bullshit, it's 1.5x your body weight by the way and I could do depth jumps before I squatted 1.5 times my weight
Do u guys mean train depth jumps alone?
nowhere close to be right you can do depth jump any level it will improve you
is this the real russian from the past?
Yes. Whay are you asking?
stop calling this plyometrics ...
egomaniacs americans.
Jump training, or Shock training
reminds me Antonio Meucci, Nicola tesla, Yuri Gagarin, and of course, yuri verkhoshansky.
TRUE GENIUSES
But are plyometrics. True plyometrics. What else should they call them when they are plyos? Ok boomer.
