That’s not the way to adjust the phase
You’re only adjusting the transient part
The low frequencies are located at the end of the kick wave and that’s what matters
P.S: Your bass, in a track is playing at different notes so, you wont be in phase in your whole production
Just try to be in phase with your root note
In this case, you’ll keep a punchy impact and solid low ends

This is dangerous advice. You are not adjusting the phase of the bass part of the kick. Dont take just as it comes.
