DCS A4 Skyhawk Mission Playthrough: Gulf Ship Patrol

- My playthrough of my latest DCS mission. Jumped in an A4 Skyhawk and went out hunting for potential smuggler ships in the Persian Gulf. This is not a tutorial video but I do talk a lot as I go along about what I am doing and why.

T H A N K S !!!!! I learned SO MUCH!! (still not sure why i crash midway to 54X ) absolutly going to try again tho'. you taught me a Little Something new on Everything!! and the usage of marking bogies on the f-10 Map was totally New for me ( THANKS)...also, using so much Up trim on take off ... looks so much eaiser and Smoother than My Yank and bank style.
1 day I hope to be good enough to actually join a group and have fun flying missions.
as a side note to why I love this all so much- My dad was a 35 year Navy Vet carrier Pilot..flying Many diff planes Including the A-1 Syraider ( Spad) And the A-4 Skyhawk ( infact..there is his squads skin in dcs (VA-212 Rampent Raiders) out of lemoore CA. / the USS HANCOCK... LOTS & LOTS of hours and missions..best this was..it Always Brought him home ( can not be said for his room mate and MANY other friends) Again THANKS !! I will look for more of your missions & great Videos ( I can not belive you took your time to Actually Do & Post this for me !) all is VERY APPRECIATED

Always a pleasure to help fellow players enjoy flying - my next A4 Skyhawk mission is already in testing and it's for the VA-212 in Vietnam 1967. I will be sure to record it when my squadron tests it this weekend! PS You don't have to be good to join a group - the whole point of a group is to learn together!
@@ChattytumblerTCW how did you click on the iraninan gunboat from F-10 map ..and go to it without clicking through EVERY single ship/runway/plane to get to it ?...looked like you went from F-10 right to the gunboat
@@weed89ilt F9 cycles through ships but if you left click on the gunboat first and then F9 it will jump to that ship first
That's my next mapping/practice flight planned then...
Hello and thanks for the video... I come from IL2 GB and now I have started in DCS with the A4 and I only find training missions that I cannot use with the latest version of DCS... I can use this mission with the current 2024/07 ???...I'm a year late??? greetings from Spain
@@aroga34 hi! I have just tested the mission and it still works in July 2024 :) I started playing il2 first as well, DCS was a big step up in complexity but the airplanes are amazing!
