What?! There's no comments in this video?! Mother of God! James McBride is one the best authors. I read The Color of Water and Miracle at St. Anna last year. And, I was completely blown away by his writing. People seriously, need to read his books!
This book was a summer reading assignment for my son. I started reading the book and could not put it down. I love each chapter and his determination in finding his self.
I am currently reading The Color of Water for school, and it is just wonderful. It is so inspirational and truly allows the reader to gain an entire new perspective on life.
Good insightful book about a different perspective of growing up, even though as a Jewish Hispanic kid, it's slightly the same experience....Something I am already aware of...At my Age ..65.. and being that " intermingled " with Black and Brown kids growing up....Less the " harassment " of White folks! Just found out to be a tough kid....WIHOUT GETTING In TROUBLE WITH THE LAW! I survived ....Joining the Miliatry actually save my kester!! 25 years and Retired as a Steelworker... now since 1st of January, 2016. So...PRAISE THE LORD!! For me....
