    I just finished it.
The BEST book I've read in the longest time.
James McBride is a masterful storyteller.

I read “The Color of Water” way back in the summer of 2002 when I was 16 . It was on our summer reading list for 11th grade. It was so good!!! I need to read his new book and the rest of his books.

What a poor set of interviewers. It’s obvious that only one read his notes ahead of the interview.

I'm sorry, but that book was incredibly boring. I found it difficult to continue reading. There were too many characters, which made it ridiculous and drove me crazy trying to keep up with all of them. In my opinion, the story had so much potential, but we really didn't need so much information just to get to the point.

this book is so racist its hard to believe, its so concerning the way the road of racism is one-way for whites only. Every other race has free reign and government subsidies to be as tribal as they please.
