The intro sends chills down my spine and everything else makes me feel like everything else has led up to this moment and nothing can stop me now...Though the original Solaris Phase 2 song did this too, this song kicked that one to the curb for favorite final boss music. Great Job.
After going back and forth between this song and "Queen Chrysalis & Bowser's castle showdown" I have to say that They're probably my favorite mashups made by you, KingSparta. I don't know if you planned it or not, but they have GREAT contrast. Chrysalis & Bowser gives a grand, looming feeling of evil power, like "Muhaha! Prepare to die!" as the heroes struggle to stand against him. While this song is kinda the opposite like the villains on the ropes and the good guys are inches from victory.
Weird battle idea in vaguely RPGish/real time strategyish formula Phase 1: Mane 6 + Celestia vs Chrysalis and changelings (Cadence = CPU) Chrysalis's main method of direct attack is the use of multiple high level, destructive spells of varying power and range. Her other gimmick is her use of pheromones in battle. Her pheromone abilities can be used easily with little to no start up time and are used to manipulate her changeling army. Summon Pheromone: summons a group of high level changeling soldiers, she will use it periodically to replenish their numbers. Command Pheromone: used to tell her minions what to do in battle, usually to block or dogpile a party member. Guard Phr: commands her soldiers to rally around her and shield her, absorbing damage meant for her with their own bodies. Power/Armor Phr: raises all her minions atk or def respectively while lowering the other stat, used depending on what she wants them to do. One of her moves "Parasite Prison" traps and heavily damages party members in a wide area unless they can escape the area in time, she will often command her soldiers to block her desired target from escaping. Her most dangerous skill "Love Drain" syphon's power from the incapacitated Shining Armor to heal herself and boost all of her stat's for a limited time. A viable strategy would be to divide your team fighting her and her minions, Celestia is best suited to fight Chrysalis as her offensive magic rivals her's in power and she has multiple high level healing spells to keep herself and the party going. It would be best to damage or otherwise incapacitate her minions without defeating them to avoid her summoning more and to make it easier to defeat them when they go to protect Chrysalis. After taking enough damage Cadence can attempt to free Shining Armor, she must be kept alive as she tries to do so. It takes a while and Chrysalis will use Love Drain repeatedly the whole time, so the only thing the party can effectively do is hold out while defending Cadence. If Cadence is defeated it's game over, if she succeeds it's Phase 2 time. Phase 2: Mane 6 + Cadence and Shining Armor vs Chrysalis and changelings (Start up this music baby!) Chrysalis can no longer use Love drain but she can now almost completely freely use her pheromones, sometimes at the same time as attacking. Cadence and Shining share a passive ability "Marital Bond" which boosts all buffs and healing spells they use on each other. Made more devastating as both have good healing spells, Cadence specializes in supplying buffs and Shining in defensive abilities and casting different wards on the party (Shellga, Reflectga sort of thing) Their most powerful move: "Holy Matrimony" involves charging up and attacking together, heavily damaging all enemies, although cooldown takes a while.
