- Shipment has become a staple map for every studio aside from Treyarch in the Call of Duty franchise and with it's recent return in Modern Warfare II, I wanted to compare it to the previous versions we've seen and share my opinions on this version of the map. What do you think of Shipment in MWII?

I will never expect any shipment map to have good spawns or “normal” spawns. It’s just not that kind of map. However, there should never be a spawn where the enemy sees me materialize right in front of them. There’s just zero chance to win that fight. This happens far too often and is really frustrating.
Unfortunately every shipment has been that way. With 12 total people playing on there, chances to spawn in front of someone is typically high.
i feel it’s miles better then the last 2 shipments, which what you really need to compare it to.
@@KobeLoverTatum I completely agree! I have had a lot of fun playing it so far and it’s a nice alternative to the main 6v6 maps. Those have gotten really stale since we’ve only had those since launch.
@@Sanctuary666 yeah, it’s just an inherent problem with a map that small. I would be okay with it happening every now and then because it can never be perfect. Not even large maps are perfect, so I definitely can’t expect that from shipment. Just wish it wasn’t so frequent
My favorite is when the enemy is already shooting and you spawn into their line of fire
Only thing I dont like about this shipment is how hard it is to realize where you are. In mw19 all the crates were different colors, there were the boxes, dumsters, and forklift instead of all the same thing. On this shipment I never know what side im on.
I have this exact issue to. It's so confusing for my own mental orientation & map awareness.
Exactly, never know where i am
Learn where a & c are. That will make it easier.
@@Ibsmokin I mean I can tell where I am if I stop for a sec and look around but thats bad design.
@@ironpizza5150 yea I feel ya, it’s not great. I feel like it’s meant to be disorienting to slow down the pace.
I could be wrong, but I feel like they made the corners behind some of the containers *way* deeper than they used to be. There's always a rat hiding in those corners for the whole match
God bless the drill charge.
@@oscars4608 Drill Charge is the fucking MVP on Shipment
Drop a proximity mine in those nooks and crannies and profit.
The walls (but not the doors) to those angled containers are soft, you can shoot through and kill those rats with only a minor reduction to damage
Need to grind gold challenges on shit guns somehow with turbonerds jumping all over the place with meta guns. You'll find my overclock trophy systems in there and a cluster mine waiting for people to ambush from the container side (except when it starts spawning enemies in there and I get 4 spawn protection hit markers).
Map is good for what it is: an easy place to level guns and earn camos. Don’t overthink it, stop caring about your K/D (no one else does), just go nuts and provide more blood for the Blood God and skulls for the Skull Throne.
we need more chill mthafkas like you 👍
The matchmaking is going to try to keep your kd at a 1 anyways so worrying about it is genuinely pointless.
I love the crazy mindless chaos that is Shipment. After doing some camo grinding on there I jumped back into some normal gameplay and it was too slow, so I jumped back into Shipment 😅
@@wokkyminniecon9803 same here!
@@wokkyminniecon9803 For with the SBMM it feels like Shipment is one of the biggest enjoyments I find in this game. There is no real sweating outside of getting your aim together because its pointless. Its just utter chaos and annihilation everywhere haha🤣. I wouldnt mind this 24/7 Shipment to stay for the rest of the games lifecycle. I enjoy it more than any other game modes
The spawns are terrible, instead of spawning me between the containers, the game decides to spawn me next to like 4 enemies ready to delete me. Also, since there are no enemy name plates, and the map is at night, spotting prone enemies is very diffucult.
Don't hear you complaining about the times it spawns you rite behind some one though funny that
On shipment the spawning sometimes helps me get my 3 kills without dying because it spawns a group of enemies right in front of me
But at the same time I do get creamed almost instantly off spawn 50% of the time
I hope youre not talking about the middle lol cause that's the worst spot. So many tines I've had where the game tries to spawn me there multiple times in a row WTF I was stuck in respawn animation 🤣
@@joshstorie246 learn to spell bro💀💀💀💀💀💀
Thats literally any version of shipment
I do like this shipment layout except for the dark corners between some of the containers and how bad the lighting is in general
Yea the lighting horrible.
oh yeah, and it makes Flashbang hurt my eyes more
Xmas shipment seems brighter
@@thehumus8688 yea going in without a trophy system is a big mistake
That said, we have flashlights on weapons now. This opens up another aspect of weapon balancing
This version of shipment is great. The return of the angled crates and spots you can hide to reload between crates is nice. Spawns are probably the best I’ve seen. Don’t get spawn killed immediately or trapped too often. My BIGGEST con is the player collision like you mentioned. I spawn behind a teammate who is scared to move from the container & ends up blocking me from exiting
I’m the one of those who camps in the containers, and as a member of the Camping community, I want to say that is very annoying when you pre-aiming the corner and someone pushing your back and messing up your aim!
@@CHEVxxCHELIOS don’t block the exit and you’ll be fine
@@CHEVxxCHELIOS I get camping and playing slow but if you sit at the exit to a container and trap your teammates behind you you create a traffic jam which makes it more and more likely the enemy team will be able to spawn trap you. Think of it like this, you are maybe sacrificing one or a few kills in exchange for not letting the enemy team snowball your team. It's generally much better to just rush out of the container and let your team move out as well.
The spawns are atrocious, what do you mean?! 😂
@@dpicks24 actually though. I've spawned in right in someone's sights, right next to an enemy, hell I spawned opposite A one match and there were five (5) enemies there. But it happens both ways so it works out lol
2019 + angled containers would be the ideal one me. I liked that verticality, it wasnt so bad and you took a risk to get up there.
Same yup
Thank you for your indepth gun guides. The only one on RUclips that isn't just "BEST OP SETUP FOR X GUN!!!"
My favourite shipment. Feels like way more cover and though people don’t like the darkness, I like how it offers at least some concealment to delay reactions even if only slightly. I mean if you’re camping in a corner in shipment you’re gonna die in seconds to a grenade so who cares about dark corners lol
Also drill charges makes this even more playable, guy camping in containers are no longer safe
I notice he didn't mention the chaos of the ghosts remake lmao
The thing that kills me worse than spawning into enemy's sights on shipment, is when the enemy gets a Harrier and a mortar strike camping your spawn point combined. But who cares, it's good for a chuckle.
That’s crazy because its by far the worst
God that color palette on WW2 was just gorgeous.
It doesn’t feel bigger it feels disorienting and I always feel lost as to where I am on the map
Its cause the map is too dark and it all looks the same with boxes and no cars etc.
Yeah seriously, I think it only *feels* bigger because you get lost so much 🤣
Same. I miss the forklift lol
Feel like a simple fix would be to make shipment occur during the day and not during night, cause I think that's what may be causing the feeling of being lost
Skill issue
Other than the spawns this is my favourite iteration.
Since the original ofc ;)
This is a very enjoyable shipment. Possibly the best ever.
I loved WW2's shipment :)
I've screamed through the mic a few too many times with that container spawn where all the campers hide and block you exiting out of it. It causes a massive spawntrap when the more up tempo players can't get out of there quickly
And then they put up a barrier, lol 😆. Honestly, some hilarious gameplay on shipment takes place.
I got 5 kills with 1 Semtex from someone blocking their team in one of the containers
When they have a riot shield too… so annoying
@@ronski4677 that's my concern. The boxes you can hide in are well known and easy to drop a drill or nade in. When the whole team is stuck in there behind someone, it's an easy killstreak for someone
part of it might be the lack of slide canceling. when you can run corner to corner in 2 seconds it seems like a lot less
I just wish the 4 corners were more distinct. It takes me a while to figure out which part of the map I've spawned into.
The forklift trucks in 2019 really gave me an instant visual queue, which helps with objectives.
I usually dreaded playing shipment to level guns and do challenges but with this one I don't mind it much. It's actually enjoyable majority of the time
I definitely was thinking this while trying it. It feels less chaotic (but still chaotic) in a good way.
Thank you for mentioning the friendly player collision, it's ben extremely frustrating. Also, my favorite was the COD4 one, simple and great lighting, and aesthetically pleasing.
Thank God there's no verticality on this shipment, cause that would have definitely messed up the spawning a lot more than it already is
He literally says that in the video so I don't get why you even commented that honestly
@@joshstorie246 I don't know cause I was very concern that before shipment came out it was gonna be a repeat of MW 2019 shipment
@@joshstorie246 all he said was thank god LOL
i was playing shipment all week, man this is so much fun and its so much better. i actually enjoy it!
Thanks for the comparison and comments!
I love this shipment map, the atmosphere is great. We need more maps in the night actually 🤔
Exactly, love me some night time maps, already have enough during the day
I don’t mind night maps but you can’t have dark spots where I can’t see people camping
Wow tbh idk if I’m still scarred from the shipmas and incendiary nadea from last year but I feel this is best and to me it feels like the biggest
Love this Shipment map. Helped me unlock attachments in different categories!
I’m having an absolute blast with shipment, got a shorty marksman rifle and the chimera and have been getting consistently around a 2.15 KD, the extreme fast pace chaos is a nice challenge compared to the normal multiplayer maps.
Map design and visual wise, I do like this Shipment. It's a simple layout with no climbing on top of containers so it's a lot easier to play and predict the flow of the game. Also, I like how it is actually a "shipment" of cargo containers in the process of being shipped on a cargo ships. All the other Shipments just have boxes lying around, but not actually being shipped.
The only thing I don't like (besides the weird teammate collision thing) is the spawns. I will say, so far, it is a lot better than the MW19 and Vanguard versions, but it still has issues. There are still many times where I spawn in enemy territory, I spawn in an enemy's line of sight or an enemy spawns behind me. It is inconsistent and frustrating. Also, of I recall correctly, there is no spawning in the middle cargo container, which would make sense in at least Domination.
Sure it’s fun but I still don’t understand why we get Shipment over something new. It’s a bloodbath, meat grinder mini map that is almost a joke. Weird
The maps in this game are by far the worst ever in order to save it I think classic maps are needed which most will gladly play over the shit they call new maps in this game
There should be an alternate Shipment/Shoothouse que called Big Head ShipHouse where all players/operators have ridiculously big heads 😂
Total chaos, love it. 😆
What they did is move mid containers slightly to change angles slightly. Now containers are more spread out slightly but makes a significant gameplay difference
I can't believe he didn't bring this up. The lanes in the middle are spaced apart more than previous versions.
@@RevDrTarr 💯 but that’s why I’m here. To help get info out.
I think you nailed it to be honest, but a bit more lighting would be a great addition to this map, just seems a little too dark to call it perfect.
their probably will be with holiday shipment
@@zionsegears1762 still too dark
Like this version wayyyy better. It's actually playable.
Great video
Nice vid. Would love to see your thoughts on the raid
Collision is really bad! Especially if you run in enemy’s it confuses me every time 😢
Best Shipment since the original, and the best looking Shipment ever.
Based
Looking forward to your Lockwood Mk 2 gun guide 😍
The new one is fun. Loved it back in WW2 also. I liked it with more light in WW2.
*Am i the only one who liked Shipment 2019?*
Uh, yes. Horrible map.
I mean shipment is always horrible but Mw19s shipment did nothing better than the previous iteration.
It was the worst version on shipment
I actually miss the fact that you could climb onto the containers.
Now the map is more basic and kinda disorienting because every angle looks kinda the same
Nope, best iteration
@@xdbetyar got any reason for that?
you should measure the size by time it takes to run from side to side
Movement speed is not the same across games.
@@clawabidingcitizen that's the point. In a faster game the map can be bigger without sacrificing game pace
Shipment is awesome practicing movement and getting the feel of a gun that’s new to you. I love shipment.
Another change to shipment is that you can’t shot through the spawn containers like you can in previous games
This is the best shipment I’ve ever played, yea there’s some occasional matches where I get in a spawn death loop but it doesn’t happen to often
Really impressive good fun. Occasional frustrating death loop, but like you say rare.
i think all the shipment versions are fine and all of them should be in MWII and locked in a 24/7 Shipment playlist
Lol even the ghosts version with the doors?😂
Spotted the camper
100% agree on the player collision. I feel like it’s something any recent cod hasn’t gotten 100% correct right off the bat. It’s the worst when someone camps in the open container, the game recognizes it as a safe spawn, 1-3 friendlies spawn behind the camper and we need to get out before this enemy drill charge goes off
Good on you making that gun work for you
They should've made shipment like 10 levels high. That would be amazing.
TF2 High Tower
Yes
it's a bit dark, but lack of verticality and angled containers are a huge improvement
Maybe for you, you camping dog. No one else likes getting shot in the back cause some trash are just sitting in those dark container corners waiting for a kill
I like this shipment, i dont love that its pretty dark n stormy, but its not that big of a deal, and Christmas version has rly good visibility so that will be fun
the only thing i wish this version had was more easily recognizable POIs for call outs. like in MW19 there was forklift, dumpsters, etc. i know this one there is bananas and cocaine containers but the corners arent as easily called out imho. but i really like the MW22 version.
I love it!!! I can’t wait for shoot the ship 24/7!!! I love the constant action. Most of the other maps play to slow for me.
I would love to see a true "Shipment Playlist" where you get to play on every different version of this map from games past.
What an absolutely terrible idea.
I enjoy this shipment as well. It seems to flow really well compared to MW2019. Thanks for the video.
Thanks to this shipment, Amazon helped me get a lot of these guns done
MW2019 is my Favorit shipment map 😌
That layout was a war crime
Why does sbmm feel so much more aggressive on shipment? I've been playing with my friend and when we play together we get put with people MILES UPON MILES better than us and every match gets harder
My best guess is it has an incredibly high player population compared to many other playlists and the larger the pool of players you can match with, the more strict the SBMM is able to be
I’ve noticed that more so than usual, as a PS5 controller user, I’ve seen lobbies full of mouse and keyboard players. Although I normally back out before the match starts
it's getting more and more annoying and unplayable. a whole magazine in the head doesn't help anymore... what's going on?
Best shipment since WWII
I wrote this during the ad at the beginning of the video. It was cool to see you agrees at the end lol
I agree with everything. That collision is the only issue with it. I've gotten all my guns maxed, and I'm running through camos
I like how dark this Shipment Map is, and how much bigger it feels even though it appears to be 35x35
I think it’s a solid shipment. I like the slanted crates and not being able to go on top of them. I don’t like how it’s too dark and I feel like moving some of the spawns in the corners of the slanted crates as well as inside the corner crates will help resolve the collusion issue and helping with spawning a little safer.
I like this version of shipment. I also think it's cool that the setting of the map is on a ship
i havent grinded a call of duty game since cod ww2 but this game is definitely in my top 5 call of duty's
i didn't realide how big a deal those angled containers were until I played with them again
I liked being able to jump/climb above the containers in mw19
I really like this shipment, I was skeptical about not being in the daylight, you can see more clearly than I thought
Hell no you can’t it’s too dark Imo especially prone enemies hard to see
Yeah when I saw the pictures, I immediately thought that it will be really hard to see other players from time to time, but even on standard brightness settings I’ve not had a single problem spotting enemies. Only problem I have from time to time is thinking a guy prone on the ground is a corpse, but that would happen no matter how dark or bright the map is.
@@hxpnotick i recommend turning your brightness up
Cuz my vision ain't great but im still seeing enemies clearly, plus prone enemies will always be hard to see because you never expect them in such random places
@@DetectiveWarden mine are a bit above normal and i see very good like shipment 2019 plus like ace said, the fact you can't kill from corner to corner so easily as before it's a nice addition
yeah this shipment is awesome, I don't even want to play the other maps since it's such a good experience
It's impossible to have perfect spawn, folks. At least, It seems to me that we have a 1 second immortality after spawn, i don't die IMMEDIATELY after the spawn by a grenade, but a few instants later. Btw, i would like to have a bit more light. In general i'm really really enjoying grinding camo in this, chilling with some music and low game volume (we don't really need audio in that mess LOL). Great video Ace!
I love this version! Just hope the playlist lasts.
I loved the 2019 map for camo grinds. Didn’t mind the gross corner sight lines I just hated literal spawns 3 Ft infront of somebody with a 725
Thank you once again for the very informative video.
You mentioned the player collision being annoying and I definitely agree on that but there's another thing I discovered for myself and was wondering if that was always the case or if the riot shield is buggy concerning friendly fire?
Because having the shield equipped on the back, friends are able to shoot my back and my whole screen gets shaken. This is the first time I'm touching a CoD since CoD II so... it's been a while and I'm really not sure what is a bug and what is a feature in this game 😅
A couple problems with the objective meter length analysis of the size of the map:
1. The best way in my opinion to test the length is to equip an SMG that has a sprint speed around the mean of all SMGs, and run from one side to the other counting the time. This would give a much more practical measurement of the lengths and would allow you to test older CoDs as well.
2. You should also check the distance in between the containers in the middle and the size of the containers.
🤓
First time getting an fov was my first thought too.
I went from level 19 to near 57 with the XP event in here and got my favourite weapons to max weapon level as I enjoyed it very much as it was a challenge
WW2 shipment is hands down the best with spawns I still play it till this day because it’s enjoyable (expect for the requisitions perk on this map) and it’s also pretty bright so there’s no issue with lighting on it still my favorite version of shipment.
I’m loving Shipment for what it is, especially on a Double Weapon XP weekend. I’ve maxed so many weapons.
Hit me up, I have something for you 🎁🎁🎁
My problems have been 1. Spawning 1 meter in front or behind of an enemy, 2. The slower movement speeds across the board, and 3. The weapon mounting mechanic existing.
Yesterday unlock Chimera there. Then level up. Then level up the X12 and P890 pistols plus unlock gold vamos for them. It was fun
I wish they did this to the other maps. Sometimes you can get spawn killed multiple times on maps much bigger than shipment. For some reason it wants you to spawn close too close to flags or hardpoints where the enemy already is.
Definitely my favorite iteration of shipment
I need an investigation into “revenge spawns” in this game, on thr normal maps but especially shipment the game seems to want to spawn you close to your killer, giving you a revenge opportunity, i carry on spawning close to the guy that killed me and the guy i just killed spawning just around the corner from me
Man, I loved Shipment in WW2.
It wasn't just the map, it was the other things they added to the game. The divisions and perks that allowed you to fire while sprinting was a lot of fun on Shipment. Also, the ability to parachute in added another dimension to the game.
It's by far my favourite version of Shipment.
This version is pretty good though. I like the back to basics layout. But without the other features of WW2 it'll never be as good.
Been grinding the map for camos all weekend. Spawns can be wild as always but with this layout when the game wants to cooperate I've actually had some "regular" matches. Enough safe spots to reload and survey to catch a break.
I think hard point by far has the worst spawns due to its inclination to spawn you as close as possible but other than that it's not too bad imo
spawns are easily broken by a mortar strike or chopper gunner, like it will just spawn your entire team inside a crate constantly. not to mention that the mounting feature makes some of the head glitches terrible to fight against, the recent change from the angled containers being on the north and south of the map instead of east and west really ruins the flow and also makes spawns worse. and despite the testing for size, each game was on a different engine which means 35 meters on the mw2 2022 engine could be closer to 40-45 meters on the mw 2019 engine, I mean just by looking at gameplay you can notice the 4 corners are noticeably larger
I don't have the time I use to, to grind gun levels or player rank and shipment gives me the most bang for my time. Yea my KD gets trashed but I gave up caring awhile ago. Just want to level everything in the time I have available!
Ghosts version "showtime" was the absolute best. Very disappointed you didn't include it.
Although there was a back area... The bulk of kills were still done in the 4 corners and played very similar to the original...unlike the newer ones that had verticality
It was my favorite as well 🙏
Mw2019 is my favorite shipment of them all. Hope it makes a comeback
I love this shipment!
Oh thanks for not covering the Ghosts version of Shipment, even though that was my first Shipment experience.... Also I like MWII's shipment but honestly I really miss the verticality of MW2019's version. Would've been nice if they removed the edge of the map verticality but kept the inner container verticality like the 2nd level container you could climb into.
Honestly this is the best feeling shipment in a long time.
The one thing I really like about shipment is it really highlights areas where things need nerfing or improving because they just happen infinitely more times than in regular size maps.
Squad spawns which is currently favoured over spawning in a quiet location means you have to die a couple times before you can actually get a good spawn.
Flash bangs, there annoying and due to the length of time your screen is white you get killed a lot making Battle Hardened a crutch perk which always ruins the versatility of the create a class system in the long run as players all start using small variations of the same class like they are trying out for Optic or Faze clan.
Lack of spawn protection. Obviously we can't have people being immune to bullets, the painkiller deathstreak was always a horrible edition to OG MW games. Having some resistances to the tactical or lethal equipment for a few seconds would be nice though so I don't spawn and trigger a shock charge.
Overkill with Riot Shield combo, about 50% of players are running this turtle class and when your team run it they get in your way and when the enemy runs it you have to shoot feet and collaterals are impossible as the shield is protecting the second player even when it is on the other players back.
The spawns are so easy to break, surprisingly it’s easier to trap in tdm and KC than dom and hardpoint, dom can be done but it’s a little harder, I think it’s because of the flags/points and you capping or looking at an objective spawn point flips them, and then there’s times where all 12 are just spawning in one corner and whoever spawns at the back is SMILING
This is my favorite shipment yet. Wish they would make more maps around this size, maybe slightly larger. Would be cool to have 3 or 4 maps 35mx35m to 40mx40m size in a single playlist. I need my reload cancel back though lol
It’s actually nuts how good ww2 looks
I feel like the MW2 version is darker - as in there's less light in the map. Feels bigger, even though it isn't. Great video!
I got my highest score yet (~15k points) on shipment yesterday. With a sniper rifle lol.
I love this map. Spent 2 data maxing all my weapon levels.
I definitely love this version of Shipment the best, getting rid of all the verticality and now with drill charges you can kill or force players out of containers.
But I noticed when I first started playing Shipment the spawns were excellent, I wasn't spawning in front of opponents getting spawn killed and I wasn't spawning behind opponents where I could get an easy kill. Then there was an update and now the spawns are messed up big time
WWII’s early version of shipment allowed bullet penetration through the crates so you could wreak havoc with a extended mag RPD by spawn killing through the back of the crates
Listen...when u hit that shipment playlist...you know what you're signing up for.
Crazy i almost didn’t recognize vanguard shipment without fire everywhere😂
