I'm hooked! I already loved Mae and Tig, but now have fallen in love with Fortune! I'm kind of a mix of all three of you - I'm older, so have the generational thing with Tig, I'm Canadian (and married to a Brit), so I get all of Mae's references, and I sing (in the church choir on Christmas Eve!), so I can relate to Fortune. Really enjoyed this whole podcast immensely. Thank you for this gift. (Oh, and btw, the best gift I ever gave -and this comes from the receiver - is a Toto toilet seat. He loves it!!).

I don’t know how it’s possible, but literally EVERYTHING you all mention is so relatable to me. And when one of you, or more likely, two of you do not understand the reference to a song, a dance…, it’s just crazy to me! From the church Christmas choir songs to the Fairytale of New York-my very favorite Christmas song, it’s all SOOO relatable! I love this podcast! Looking forward to seeing Fortune in Florida soon!!!

As a 43 year old southern pretty lil lady with religious trauma lol grandad preacher church 3 times a week until I was 18 and 12 years private Christian school... this was hilarious and great and amazing and healing.
Oh my gosh, my mom used to read me Wind in (or and) the Willows. I can't remember which it is right now. I loved that story and the illustrations. Beautiful book. The badger was grumpy and scary but I loved him for some reason.
I was a few days late tuning in to the first episode, so it’s like be blasted with two episodes in a row. What a treat. ❤

Mungo is a Scottish term meaning "my boy" - I wonder if his brother Jamie Grant also has some kind of Scottish middle name as well. We used to raid the deepfreeze and eat my mom's Christmas baking (frozen cookies and squares are the best!). We tried to peek at our presents well before Christmas Day (presents got put under the tree between the 20th and 24th) and one year we used my mom's razor sharp paring knife to cut the tape on one end of the gifts to see if we could see what it was. Mom worked nights and Dad didn't pay any attention to what we were doing while the hockey game was on, lol.

I was working as a temp and this younger woman asked me to please wink at her while she was working with all her work friends... I did.. gave my lil side smile and they all giggled like school girls. 😆 It was fun

One time, in like 1991 or whatever, my mom just put straight cash in different sized boxes and wrapped them under a tree for me and my twin brother. It was beautiful and memorable. Nothing says "I'm exhausted from child rearing in the late 80s and the early 90s like, here's some cash from your mom....Lol..... Love you, mom!!

I hope Fortune comes back to the theater I work at in San Diego. She was a hoot and her travel manager Kat is SO organized and a dream to work with.
As the only girl among 5 boys (I was 3rd oldest) I always wanted what my brothers got for Christmas but I got all the girly stuff that my mom really wanted me to like which I didn't like at all, especially dolls. This went on throughout my childhood into adult hood. At least I know that my surprise Christmas morning birth was the best gift I ever gave to them! ;-)

I love the baby penguin stpry. My older brother told us that the red blinking lights in the sky (radio tower) was a huge alien eyeball watching us. Different strokes for different folks.
Weasel synchronicity: Just today my partner and I thought we saw a weasel on our yard cam and were temporarily worried about our feral cats. We had to go back and watch the footage again to find out that it was just an opossum with a very long tail who had a similar gait to a weasel. 😅

I'm way behind & playing catch up - just watched this episode - in elementary school we had a substitute teacher who we loved because she had dogs (she never brought them). She said her dogs wanted to share their treats with us & gave us Cracklin oat bran cereal, & we loved it.
