Mine only turns on if i power on with volume down key , The problem is in the touch painel, if it´s defective it will stuck on surface logo and after turn on, if you go to devices manager you will see an error on the touch firmware device. You don´t need to unplug usb device to start. But you were the only one that found the same solution that i have.
My surface pro is a brick. Does not respond to pressing the power button or volume button for reset. All this happened after the last update. Any solutions, other than the bin?

@@sukiashwa3360 No l tried a few things but nothing worked. I contacted Microsoft they said to send it back and they would send me a refurbished one for $500, no thanks. I ended up buying a apple laptop but still have my surface it now does turn on the first time as long as l leave it turned off for a few hours, strange.

Hi, I have surface pro 7. After interupted update the surface is boot loop, The windows logo is only appearing for 2 second after Inpush the power button and then dissapear. Tried to push power+volume up / power+volume down but no luck.
hello! hope you can help, my pro 6 won't turn on even after doing the hard reset options, the charger is plugged in and the led light is on but the laptop just won't boot up.
May I know can you see the windows icon (or like me surface word) before start up? If didnt see anything with black screen then it might be a problem on motherboard
Hi, my screen stucks on recovery page saying two errors wdf1000.sys and ntoskrnl.exe code 0000098. And I made a recovery on a usb memory but when i try to force the surface to launch with the usb using the power button and volume down the loading stucks and nothing happens.

Recently I found that I no need unplug my USB still able to boot up but still keep click power button + volume down. Thank a lot
