In the book series, The Land of Stories, the man in the mirror is Mira, the Evil Queen’s true love. Great video! Edit: thanks for the likes and also pls try and make a video about Tiifu and Zuri if u haven’t already!
I'm not sure the magic mirror is a slave, but possibly a wizard who put his essence into the mirror hoping to get into the right hands. Knowing the queen is truly evil he led her down a path he knew she would perish from
The mirror seems to be like the genie that it must server who owns. But that don't mean it likes her it seems to mock her she thinks snow white is dead.
New evidence from a Disney Junior show, of all things - Sofia the First - suggests (to me) that the entity in the Magic Mirror is a mental projection of the Sorceress Vor's influence via the Queen's Crown, a cursed item created by Vor's dark magic which is one part of a set of nine. See Wotso's video on if Vor could be the progenitor of most of the Disney Villain's evil magic to find out more...

I can picture Snow White talking to the Magic Mirror, only instead of demanding who is the fairest of them all, she's actually having a normal friendly conversation with him instead. Snow White was never actually the fairest of them all, only equally as fair as the Queen herself due to being virtually indistinguishable from her at all, and that the Mirror only said that to the Queen in order to amuse himself and see what she would do.
Funny you should say that because in the Princess Magazine Snow White and the Prince has taken the magic mirror to their castle after the queen has died.

There is this bizarre theory having spread like wildfire lately that Magnifico from Wish is the Magic Mirror. A hint for that is that the mirror's ghostly face allegedly appears for a split second when Magnifico is trapped. Chris Buck who worked on Wish said that they toyed the idea a bit and eventually decided to have that mirror hanged in the dungeon and fans can think what they want. Nevertheless, evidence against it includes the following: 1. Ultimately, Chris Buck refused to confirm the theory that Magnifico is the spirit in the Magic Mirror. He also did not confirm the idea of a Disney multiverse and that the Easter eggs in Wish are canon to the original movie. He merely said that if some fans wish to believe it, he is fine with it. 2. Magnifico is not actually trapped in a mirror at all. He is trapped in a crystal which is the tip of his magic staff that was broken. It just looks a bit like a hand-held mirror 3. The "mirror" from Wish looks nothing like the mirror from Snow White in terms of shape, size, material or colour. It looks a bit more like the mirror's counterpart in Descendants, which is a separate continuity and not canon to the animated Snow White, and even that is not exactly the same 4. Magnifico is a wizard but not an oracle. He does not have third eye powers 5. Magnifico is more of a reference to the Wicked Queen herself due to his vanity and obsession with mirrors and good looks 6. As the video explains, there has been a Disney novel with another origin for the mirror where the spirit is the ghost of the Queen's father. And there was another origin story in Once Upon a Time where the spirit was once a genie who was in love with his mistress. Personally, I do not think that the spirit is either a genie, or the queen's father or a genie. He could be any ghost or other spirit really. It ruins the magic the mystery of Disney's timeless classic which is Snow White. Not everything requires an origin story.

The other day I watch an earlier video of yours about who Cinderella' s parents were and how you touched on the original and live action Disney versions I have come up with my own idea if Disney decides to do yet another remake in the future:The new version would introduce an older brother to Cinderella. After the father dies, the brother (lets call him Sidney) almost completely shuts down emotionally, having lost both parents within years of each other. But Cinderella's kindness and love helps Sidney retain his humanity and emotions. As favor to his sister Sidney keeps Lady Tremaine and her daughters in line albeit Biff Tannen-ish. However war breaks out between their country (was Cinderella's home country ever mentioned) and another one and Sidney is called up to serve in the Army as an officer and sent to the battlefield. Without Sidney to protect her, Cinderella is at the mercy of her step family. In the end after Cinderella marries the prince. The prince (who soon becomes King) recalls Sidney and his unit from the war and Sidney takes over the family estate kicking Lady Tremaine and her daughters out and giving them a small one time only stipend and sending them out into cold cruel world. What do you think
I don't like snow white. However, I think that the evil queen is a better villan then Maleficent. Thank you so much for doing my request on the magic mirror. Ever since you did the video mentioning the evil queen and her magic mirror, I've always wonder who the spirit of the mirror is. So much so, that I did a little head-canon based on the Kingdom Hearts series where, maybe, the spirit was someone who had fallen into darkness during the Keyblade War and still yet needs to be put to rest.
In the TV show once upon a time it's not her father because you see her father in an episode

It's just an educated guess but I think that he could be possibly Hades communicating with her or just using one of the many souls trapped in the underworld.
In once upon a time the mirror is Sydney Glass who was originally the genie that fell in love with Regina and killed Snow's father for her and was punished.
hello wotso videos!I know I'm late but in ANOTHER magical/fairytale movie (Ella Enchanted), A book (on the cover was a mirroe like oval shape with a head on it), in the movie the woman who owned the book said 'I was trying to give him a haircut, but I turned him into a book instead". Meaning: People can be transformed into objects (like mirrors) that give the founder or owner the power to knowledge! You probs wont read this, but it was fun to write C:
i dont think her father is the slave mostly because he says "What wouldst tho know, my Queen?" he addresses her as "my Queen" not his daughter perhaps it is the King (Snow's father) or even a "familiar demon" as in she has had the mirror for a long time so one she has gone to many times maybe she bought it and didnt know there was a slave demon in it until she somehow found out. another interesting idea perhaps the Queen used to b a peasant but knew the King and Queen and despised tht they had forgotten her now as royalty so she made a potion for the Queen and married the King but he eventually found out tht it was her doing in his 1st Queen dying but the Evil Queen had already made a potion for him too wanting all the power for herself thus leaving Snow White an orphan to a step-mother who was not only getting fairer than her but also reminded her of the King and Queen she had killed and thats y she wanted the huntsman to "make doubly sure (he) did not fail (to) bring back her heart" so she wouldnt have to deal with her beauty being "stolen" nor the memory of what she had done
“Fathers, be good to your daughters Daughters will love like you do Girls become lovers who turn into mothers So mothers be good to your daughters, too ...” 🎶
I think snow white's father is trapped within the mirror with the evil queen's jealousy and rage i could see her trapping him within the mirror and enjoying the fact snow's father is her servant forever and gives the evil queen advice or whatever she wants. I could even imagine the flames within the mirror hurt him which is why he must answer her truthfully even if he would not want to. But IDK
In Aladdin, the matron of the brothel (for lack of better phrasing) comments “I’d blame parents except he hasn’t got them”. You should do a video on Aladdin’s parents/life growing up.
That would be so awesome but Matpat does more scientific theories while Isaac sticks to the magical realms of HP and Disney-Pixar. I do want a collaboration between Isaac, Jonathan (J) and Ben though.
Can we get a combined video of all of the Evil Queen theories you have? It seems like some points, across all of your videos, don’t quite add up with each other (the source of her magic, the slave in the mirror, the mirror’s origin being from a Fairy Godmother, etc.) A mass video that puts all of these points together and clears up some inconsistencies would be GOLD.
There are videos by others out there on this and they are more consistent. I believe there are still videos on the trample on snakes channel, you might see a thumbnail of Danny in the shining. The title is something like "it's a sex thing"
In the Villains series by Serena Valentino the mirror is given to her by the king’s cousins, three identical sisters referred to as the odd sisters. The queens late abusive father was the famous maker of mirrors, has been trapped in the mirror by the the sisters, forced to tell the truth. He sold his soul to the sisters in exchange for the queen to live through her birth. By the end of the story she is trapped in the mirror to protect her daughter Snow White. Edit: I wrote this before he got to that point in the video my bad.
I always thought The Mirror was secretly good. He's being forced to tell The Queen the truth. I didn't think he personally intended to put Snow White in danger.
Here's my own theory, the Slave in the Magic Mirror is Snow White's father who was cursed to be trapped on the mirror by the Evil Queen because he loves his daughter, Snow White so much that he thinks she is more beautiful than the Queen and this really angered her so much because she do not want any other woman to surpass her beauty but anyways, please include English captions on your videos
Hey I was wondering could you do a video the terminating if Alice from Alice in Wonderland and Wendy from Peter Pan are related somehow cuz they look so similar well at least I think they do
I believe it's only a spirit. The concept of the mirror is based on the divination called scrying - a form of divination using reflective objects or surfaces (e.g. mirror, crystal ball, etc...). He might probably be an evil spirit bound in the mirror to serve the queen or anyone who will ever own the mirror.
And that's probably the best explanation. Maybe he is another dead person's spirit or just a pre-existing spirit but either way it is bound to that particular object. Many of the fans of the movie do not require more details.
It actually makes perfect sense, that the queen's father would end up being "the slave in the magic mirror". In life, even if he himself was evil, he would have wanted to protect his daughter, because she would one day be his protege.
I am sorry for the late comment, Issac. Your Disney and Pixar theories videos are the best in the world. I think that the slave in the mirror is probably The Evil Queen's father.
The power of the magic mirror seems limited. However, the live Huntsman films portray the mirrorman powerful enough to manifest itself as a cloaked man with a strong voice and wise vocabulary. All I can say is that is probably a stronger being, but was bound to the will of the Evil Queen like a Genie, except it tells over-glorified fortunes.
Huh... It's weird that the Evil Queen's Father being "in" the Mirror somehow reminds me of how in RWBY Wiess Schnee (a character whose based on the Snow White tale), also has an Evil Father and in her songs she keeps referring to a mirror that seems represents the the disconnect between what her conscience wants and what her Father demands/wants from her. The essence of my ramblings is that it seems like to me the details of the Snow White story and the RWBY Weiss Schnee have come full circle with this 'Disney Theory'
I liked the version of the magic mirror in the first book in The Land of Story: The Wishing Spell. It states that man in the mirror was the Evil Queen's boyfriend who was trapped within the mirror.
What does the word *mirror* imply? - it also means identical opposite. Like a shadow-self. After all, the Queen is told discomfiting things about herself that cause her to react violently. An "identical opposite" self would be the only one in existence who truly knows you and could tell you things about yourself you may not want to hear.
And now we know who is the slave in the magic mirror who came from the farthest space, and was summoned through wind and darkness, he is king Magnifico, but how did the queen obtained the mirror?, the mirror that contains king Magnifico in Wish is small, the magic mirror that the queen has is big, is it the same mirror?, is the evil queen a descendant of Magnifico?
I recently found a book called "My side of the story" it's an official Disney collection of books with the villians side of the story. It's pretty funny. The one for maleficent said she wanted Aurora to work hard not by just using beauty and singing😂
In the book a mirrors tale it was a demon that enticed you to fulfill your darkest desires. And in the twisted tale version they didn't say what it was but it originally belonged to a shopkeeper and she stole it because it encouraged her to steal the throne.
Since the queen's father became a demon after death, it makes me believe he was an evil wizard... or sorcerer. Could he be the one who apprenticed Mickey Mouse in the Sorcerer's apprentice?

I used to be TERRIFIED of the magic mirror when I was very young. no, it did not scare me so bad that I never looked in a mirror again, it just made me feel very intimidated. think about it, a normal looking oval-shaped mirror hanging on a wall, you say the summoning words, your reflection vanishes, the mirror fils up with fire, as the fire burns out, POOF! a creepy demonic face surrounded by grey/purple/red smoke (depending on the home media format) is staring into your soul, speaks in a deep echo-like voice while rhyming and using biblical words such as thou, thy, thee, and alas. I never watched Snow White when I was young because the mirror was the host of the menus, which scared me even more.

“Fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers be good to your daughters, too ...” 🎶
I think snow white's father is trapped within the mirror with the evil queen's jealousy and rage i could see her trapping him within the mirror and enjoying the fact snow's father is her servant forever and gives the evil queen advice or whatever she wants. I could even imagine the flames within the mirror hurt him which is why he must answer her truthfully even if he would not want to. But IDK
And now, Wish movie makes the magic mirror not only destroy this teory video, but also makes the mirror a victim
it's just a reference. magnifico is not the magic mirror.
In Aladdin, the matron of the brothel (for lack of better phrasing) comments “I’d blame parents except he hasn’t got them”. You should do a video on Aladdin’s parents/life growing up.
😮 The mirror is the Evil Queen’s dad!
Sometimes I just want to hug Isaac. Most guys I know wouldn't be caught dead watching these movies. You have my respect.
I'm watching this at 3 in the morning. Just means you're awesome.
DO A COLLAB WITH MATPAT IN FILM THEORY, pls.
Adorable Tom OMG! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!
Has he done a collab woth the Carlin Brothers yet? he LITERALLY looks like their younger brother!
J looks more like Isac's older brother scince they both have blonder hair.
That would be so awesome but Matpat does more scientific theories while Isaac sticks to the magical realms of HP and Disney-Pixar. I do want a collaboration between Isaac, Jonathan (J) and Ben though.
Adorable Tom that would be awesome
Can we get a combined video of all of the Evil Queen theories you have? It seems like some points, across all of your videos, don’t quite add up with each other (the source of her magic, the slave in the mirror, the mirror’s origin being from a Fairy Godmother, etc.)
A mass video that puts all of these points together and clears up some inconsistencies would be GOLD.
Dudeee, I need to know what happened to Philip in Pirates of the Caribbean on Stranger Tides, where did Syrena take him?, did he turn into a merman??
I want those dwarf figurines behind you!!
Magic Mirror is creepy and dark and recognisable as a demon of fire and magic
I think it comes from hell because when she summons it flames appear
Can you make a theory on whether or not Moana and Maui are related
Here's my own theory, the Slave in the Magic Mirror is Snow White's father who was cursed to be trapped on the mirror by the Evil Queen because he loves his daughter, Snow White so much that he thinks she is more beautiful than the Queen and this really angered her so much because she do not want any other woman to surpass her beauty but anyways, please include English captions on your videos
Thought It Was Genie.. If You Watch Once Upon A Time You’ll Understand 😌
Genie of Agrabah
Your videos give me life
This is something I have been wondering for a long time! Great theory!
Hey I was wondering could you do a video the terminating if Alice from Alice in Wonderland and Wendy from Peter Pan are related somehow cuz they look so similar well at least I think they do
I think there could be an argument there actually.... I think I might discuss that!! Great idea!
Cool😀
Alice and Wendy also share the same voice actress!
I know and they look so similar mostly cuz they were modeled after the actress
Marissa Pinkflash YES!!!!!!! I always think that they are related despite the lack of theories.
5:03 Hey, Look - Snow White in the background on the far right! Nice theory BTW!
Well, it's better to be an agathion than burning in flames while dancing for Chernabog.
It actually makes perfect sense, that the queen's father would end up being "the slave in the magic mirror". In life, even if he himself was evil, he would have wanted to protect his daughter, because she would one day be his protege.
Why didn't you done a once upon a time theory yet?
Thanks for mentioning OUAT!! Another great video!
Have you ever read any of the books they released recently showing the viewpoint of the villains?
I am sorry for the late comment, Issac. Your Disney and Pixar theories videos are the best in the world. I think that the slave in the mirror is probably The Evil Queen's father.
Now we know it's king Magnifico of Rosas
They say its king magnifico!
My crazy theory: Its a mirror that was enchanted and queen used Dopey,s voice and dark magic chemistry to make it.
I always thought the mirror is kinda like a magical Siri. Like an AI of sorts crated by magic
Yay! More Snow White Theories!
You just earned a new subscriber!! Great video!!
Skillet Fan 722 Welcome to the party! Thanks for subscribing!
Wotso Videos I love how much work you put into each video!! They are always so interesting!
What does the word *mirror* imply? - it also means identical opposite. Like a shadow-self. After all, the Queen is told discomfiting things about herself that cause her to react violently. An "identical opposite" self would be the only one in existence who truly knows you and could tell you things about yourself you may not want to hear.
I have the biggest crush on Isaac's Disney knowledge
**sees New wotso video notification** Yaaaaaas!!!!!
Keep up the amazing work!🖒❤🖒❤🖒
and after the Queen died, the Magic mirror got a job in the House of Mouse.
Can you do the full story of Balloo (Jungle book live action and cartoon) And talespin
Absolutely! I was actually just thinking I haven't done a Jungle Book video since Shere Khan I believe.
Yahooo
I love how he just randomly changed the topic near the end. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is the only Disney theory channel i trust THANK YOU!
Since the queen's father became a demon after death, it makes me believe he was an evil wizard... or sorcerer. Could he be the one who apprenticed Mickey Mouse in the Sorcerer's apprentice?
I really enjoyed this video, Isaac.
Make a video on Maleficent! Unless your already made one on her. I mean she’s freakin awesome. 👏🏻
Yep! She’s my favorite Disney villainess!
Dude, I’ve made this suggestion in your Previous Disney Related Videos SEVERAL times, so. XD; Kind of disappointed you forgot to mention bone, but, eh, it’s alright, you have SO many Fans/Subscribers along with LOADS/TONS of Commemtators, too, whether it’s from RUclips or the other Social Media, But, still, lol. Can’t believe I’ve fallen SO behind on these Vids, can’t hardly remember WHERE I’ve stopped, too, but, still. Will catch up in a little while within the following days or so, too, so. 🎶 Keep Up the great work, though, man. Always will LOVE your Vids either way, too, so.~
Yeeeesssss!! Been waiting for this video!! I'm so happy. 😁
Theory Idea: What happened to Orville the Albatross after The Rescuers?
We see in the princess and the frog dr facilier was a slave of the voodoo spirits and at the end of the movie he got sucked into the spirit world. And then we see the evil queen summoned the spirit of the magic mirror in the beginning of Snow White who I think is facilier
This video is amazing keep up the good work 👍😄
the voice of the magic mirror always scared me as a kid.
Fun fact some people would put mirrors near a recently deceased to captured the soul
