I'm so happy you found the kebab thing in King Pincho. I head to Barcelona for work often, and this district is great, but stinks in the morning!
Loved it, the variety of Pinchos was only matched by the eclectic variety of hairstyles Robbie was sporting. 8 out of 10.
I love Barcelona really need to go back! I learnt recently that tapas is served on bread so you can put the bread on the top of your drink to stop flys getting in!
I learnt that recently too, @ 10:55 to be precise...😉
But the question remains: who's leaving a drink around long enough that flies get interested, especially in a hot country?
And also, if they didn't serve little bits of food with the drinks, then there's even less to entice the flies with in the first place.

The city is not called Barça, only the football club is. The short version of the city's name is BARNA.

The vast majority of cheap/everyday pinxos would be better with a thinner slice of bread. But that that's the filling part which justifies the price and soaks up the beer! So in essence, is the point of it to a degree. It's no longer about covering your beer.

Croquettas are my fav! The filling is bechamel with whatever they have left over - jamon, meat and seafood etc.

Tapas is Spanish for shit on a stick.
I think pinchos is the stuff on sticks, but tapas is all sorts of small dishes.
Tapas and Pintxos are different things, from different parts of Spain. This video is focused on Pintxos which are originally from the Basque region in the north of Spain.

Blai 9 and Pincho J are some of the best on the street. Loads are poor. Zodiaco is hit and miss but never had an issue in there. However the best place on there is not a pintxo bar and is Basque/Argentinian - Koska Taberna
You are not asking for tapas but pinchos. If it has bread, it's a pincho. You should order only tapas, without bread.
Are these places expensive for drinks?

I would like to think that Robbie would never eat fois gras - it's horrendous cruelty. I'm not a vegetarian and neither is Robbie but there are some things decent humane people don't eat - and that's one of them 😔
I don’t think you can hold the moral high ground regarding foie gras if you aren’t a vegetarian. The dairy and egg industry are arguably as bad or worse than foie. Even in the free range egg industry, male chicks are ground alive en masse. I accept your option however.
