Poor tigers ha ha. I have been to Barcelona about 20 times because I fell in love with the city about 10 years ago. Can't wait to try some of your suggestions. Before I tried the fideua I could not understand why the locals got so excited when a bar had the dish. Gosh, it's only noodles. Then I tried it in Valencia. Sooo rich. Thanks for another inspiring video both of you :)
I'm heading to Andalucia for three weeks at the end of December, so I'm binge-watching all your videos. I love them. I'm so much more knowledgeable now! Thank you
Thank you so very much. I am so excited to surprise my husband with these wonderful local tappas places. You have given me such a wonderful education. I am so grateful that you gave ideas for multiple neighborhoods. I am more prepared and so grateful.
Hi James, we love your videos. we're in barcelona now and have been checking out some of your suggestions. having lived in valencia for awhile we were excited to try can ramonet. gotta say, their paella mariscos was gloppy (meloso), had no soccarat, don't know what it was seasoned with but it sure wasn't saffron. to be fair, you were not the only youtuber to recommend them, but you are our go-to guy. their other food was fine. then we visited bodega de la palmas, and it was fantastic! the squid croquettes filled with ink were amazing, as was all the food and the service. you were totally redeemed. we're hoping the one bad paella was not typical of barcelona paella, as it is our favorite dish.
Great to see you in Barcelona. But just so no one gets confused: escalivada is made of roasted red peppers, onions and aubergines (eggplants) -- NOT green peppers, as you said.
Great job! You picked some excellent spots. These are the kind of places that made me fall in love with Barcelona. I go nuts for turron de yema tostada. It's clearly the best of all the turrons. Hi James, You could do some research on Mallorcan couisine and do one of your great vids about it. It is very varied and tasty. Our "variadoss'" version of tapas and all that. I would be too please to show you some places!! 😉
Hi James, I would like to say THANK YOU! for your video. I just went to Barcelona a couple of weeks ago for 4 days, and I followed your food tour over that time. I ended up going to number 1,2,3,4,5,7,10 As a vegetarian, It it was most of the ones you suggested. I must say, I definitely enjoyed each stop! None of them seemed to be tourist, extremely busy or extremely expensive. I also ordered the same dishes you had recommended, and i must say your were spot on for each one of them. My friend went to Barcelona and followed it as well on my recommendation. I would just like to thank you as you make my trip to Barcelona amazing in terms of food due to this video! P.S. I also loved your Gothic Tour Ten stops as well.
Wow I can't believe I remembered to share this just now, but just before covid became a thing, we visited Barcelona in 2020 and used your tips as guidance. We listed all the places, planned each day's attractions and routes and between them visited all these places for breakfast, lunch or dinner, it was 100% worth it! Not only for the food and drinks which were amazing, but the atmosphere was very important for a great Barcelona experience. People won't make a mistake following your advices, thank you!
Any recommendations for large groups... We are a large family traveling to Barcelona in July.. love your videos.. any recommendations would be appreciated thanks 👍

Excellent Video, thanks very much for this hard work, I know, someone has to do it...
Hi James,
You could do some research on Mallorcan couisine and do one of your great vids about it. It is very varied and tasty. Our "variadoss'" version of tapas and all that. I would be too please to show you some places!! 😉
You’re the boss, thanks man! 🔥
Don't tell all of our secrets! Lol Great job guys, advice is on point! 👌
Nice Barcellona ❤ good to travel interessante
Hi James,
I would like to say THANK YOU! for your video. I just went to Barcelona a couple of weeks ago for 4 days, and I followed your food tour over that time. I ended up going to number 1,2,3,4,5,7,10
As a vegetarian, It it was most of the ones you suggested.
Thank you - so glad the tips were a help!
Hola amigos, I love "horchata" and "chufas".
Saluditos
Any recommendations for large groups... We are a large family traveling to Barcelona in July.. love your videos.. any recommendations would be appreciated thanks 👍
I’ll be in Barcelona in November - think I may have found my food tour!
Awesome!!
You and Yoli are doing a great job! you`d be appointed honorary consul of Spain. cheers!
The way that the marscapone croissant made James and Yoly ( or Yoli, I'm bad at spelling) happy is exactly what good food is supposed to do. 😊
Totally! And it's Yoli or Yoly... both are valid!
By far the best video I’ve found on food in Barcelona - a great video on where to experience the culture through food and places the locals go. I’ll definitely go to a majority of the places on my trip to Spain this year. Gracias!
I look forward to doing one of your food tours next summer. I’m planning a cruise and plan to spend a few days in Barcelona.
We hope to have you along!!
