Eric, one thing I do not recall you mentioning is that the P2's light sensor is exposed to HomeKit unlike the light sensor in the P1. I think this is a game changer and could make it worth upgrading.
Hi am trying to use motion sensor to control my bed room light that if they detect movement light should be on and i use scene good night to turn off all light then if i wake up in the dark and move my body the light will turn on is there any solution for this problem
The most important question before i consider any sensor from Aqara: Will they finally be fully compatible to routers from other manufacturers? In the current situation, risking stability by adding Aqara devices to a non-Aqara mesh doesn't seem like a smart idea. And no, i'm not going to spam my house with smart plugs i don't even need, just to make the Aqara sensors work.

Good point!
Exciting product -- I have been waiting for one that doesn't have the hub dependency.
I don’t use the Aqara sticky pads., I use the 3M Command hooks (poster strips) instead.
Do these and previous Aqara motion sensors have the ability to trigger a HomeKit notification on my phone when they detect motion?
Yes they can. Under “Status and Notifications”
Can this motion only be activated during specific timing ? Example only nigh time
Is this controllable directly through google home script editor? Specifically using the device.event.MotionDetection event starter?
Looks like the P2 is no longer available in the US. The Amazon page link to the P2 no longer works. Any word when it might be available again?

Are there any matter compatible leak detectors you recommend?
Not that I've tried yet

Your audio is too loud
Bad review by quickly glossing over/subduing the fact this cant be used in the Aqara app, nor connected with current Aqara hubs.
That point was clear to me.
