- This was the eleventh installment of our Steps to Christ reading challenge. Once again, I really loved this chapter. So simple, practical, and beautiful.
Steps to Christ was written by prolific author Ellen White in 1892. It is one of the most translated books ever, having been translated into more than 100 languages. It is also one of the top five most influential books in my life personally, and is a book I've read through more times than any other.

I pray too when I hear sirens, but not just ambulance sirens. I include all the people that is involved with this emergency situation in my prayer.

I too saw the clip of the Bills game AND the TV commentator praying for Hamlin. I know Australia is a much more secular country than America, but that was unbelievable! My prayer is that people would not be deceived into believing the counterfeit that is coming...indeed is here. GOD IS LOVE and I pray that He will fit me for His good purpose - because I need a retrofit. Please pray for my beautiful wife and 3x children and me - I need to be changed.
My word is "Fix." When we fix our eyes on Christ we will come to love, trust, and understand God more and more.
Was a little behind but I'm all caught up now. This chapter was so good! I've read this book many times but never like this with someone else. So meaningful to hear others comments! Thank you for doing this. I will be looking for the next one...

Someone said: I like the Christ of the Bible not the Christ in the Christianity.

Word: Hear
Point: To tell of how God reveals Himself to us.
Person: God truly gave all for the human race! Not just one-time either. He GIVES all!
Prayer: Open my eyes to see and my ears to hear wonderful things of You. Open my tongue to speak and my hands to share that You are good.
Practice: Read, study, and meditate on God’s Word and His handiwork, all the time.
Promise: No tear or smile He does not Mark. He cares for all.
I always enjoy looking through the comments to see what people chose as their words. Quite often I see many words different from mine and they are all so good. I don't think I've seen a word, so far, that I didn't thing was a good word.
