Not having Lampard anywhere in this list is atrocious, not even mentioned by a single persons list, ballon d'Or 2005 he was robbed, 04/05 Chelsea won the league and the league cup, Chelsea broke all sorts of records in doing so, Lampard was integral to the team, won FWA and PFA Premier league player of the season, won Chelseas player of the season, won Englands player of the season, top assister in the league, was in European team of the season. Put up 19 goals and 21 assists in all comps, compared with a Ronaldihno who won La liga and put up numbers of 13 goals and 16 assists all comps, Ronaldinho won it because of the eye test, but to not metion lampard at all in this list is a genuine travesty, awful takes by all round on this one. Not to even mention other seasons he could have won it, his entire career as one of the best midfielders in the world, 09/10 winning the league and the FA cup, 27 goals and 18 assists in 51 games all comps, not even nominated int he top 23, another travesty, because he's british and his name is Frank.
You trying to tell me Ronaldinho robbed Lampard of a ballon d'or in 2005??? Come off it mate. Lampard had a stellar year but Ronaldinho was by far and away the best footballer in the world in 2005.
,,Messi snubbed 2010 " is the biggest BS ever, 60 goals and 20+ Assists and people argue on that sh*t? Man was 7 levels above everyone else on the planet
during the 2010 world cup all four semi finalists had a player with the most goals in the tournament, villa, sneijder, forlan and muller; all on 5 goals.
Torres was a great shout, won his country their first major title, amazing domestic season and was the only player in the world 11 that didn’t win a trophy. Prime Torres was unplayable
To be fair Ramos won Madrid the 2014 UCL, by scoring 2 goals in the semi final and the clutch goal in the final, on top of being the best defender Not saying he deserves a Ballon d'Or of course but it's not the worst shout
They made him seem like an average player defensively, sure he had his flaws but he absolutely elite He has like a million goal line clearances and he always delivered in big games for madrid, good that fayz is there cuz he knows what ramos was about
2016 when he went to a UCL and Euro final and was too scorer of the euros and in 2018 when he won Europa league/World Cup and was 2nd scorer of the World Cup
The fact that so many of Messi’s teammates are on this list just proves even more how much he makes his teammates better compared to anyone else in the history of football you could argue for Xavi, Iniesta, Villa, Neymar, Suarez even Samuel eto, Henry it’s crazy
Crazy Pirlo isn't on the same level as Xavi, Iniesta, and Modric when all three of those players had the two best players of all time in their sides. Just imagine Pirlo connecting passes and plays to the both of them. I guarantee Pirlo has an easier time slotting in into any midfield than Xavi and Iniesta and remaining his class
Henry never deserved the Ballon d'Or. I'll explain why. 1) Played in the third strongest (at best) league in the world at the time. Both Serie A and La Liga were far superior to the Prem in the early-to-mid 2000s, so his performances/ stats were never going to catch the eye ahead of players like R9 and Shevchenko. 2) Did absolutely jackshit in Europe in the 2001-02, 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons. The ''Invincibles'' choked against pre-Mourinho Chelsea with guys like Damien Duff and Jasper Gronkjear (lol) and the season before they finished behind Valencia and Ajax in the group stages, going out in Matchday 6, the last day. In 01-02, lost away to Schalke, Panathinaikos and Mallorca. They then lost away at Juventus, who fielded their B team because they were already out of the second group stages and Arsenal STILL lost and went home despite only needing A POINT to qualify. They also lost home and away to Deportivo in the same campaign. The Inter team they beat 1-5 at San Siro (a team who had just lost their manager btw) also beat them 0-3 at Highbury, which people conveniently forget. That Inter team also reached the semi-final, whereas Arsenal couldn't even get to the knockouts. 3) He wasn't that impressive for France. Besides the fact that he was never the main man for the national team because of Zizou, who even at an advanced age was the daddy of world football, he never really did anything himself for the national team. People still had the failures of 2002 in their minds, and Euro 2004 was another failure for them (I am aware those tournaments were part of the seasons on either side). His international career was nothing to shout about, and he never stood out those years. Finally, I know people will bring up the fact that Ballon d'Or is voted on by journalists and people like that, but we also had the FIFA World Player of the Year award going on concurrently, which was only voted on by players and managers, and he never won that, either, which means he wasn't rated as the best player in the world for any season even by his peers. In '02 it was R9, in '03 it was Zidane, and in '04 it was Ronaldinho. Fact is, Henry never deserved any of these awards, and that's the proof right there.
@Itz Elytra I am also a dutch man so maybe a little bias but even if you look at what he achieved that year he was defo top 3 and for me top 2 midfielders
@Itz Elytrahow old are you ? They weren't, they only finished higher because they won the worldcup..if it was the other way around he would've have won it
@Itz Elytra it isn't 50/50 xavi was better but iniesta got more credit because of that winner .....fact is xavi was Spain and barca moat important midfielder, the rest were replaceable
Maybe a hot take but I think Ballon d’Or votes should be done by every manager of Europe’s top 5 leagues as well as Portuguese league and Eredivise, maybe even managers from every top flight division in Europe. Feel like it would be a fair way of doing it and you’d think the managers would know the most ball. Maybe this would have meant Henry never getting robbed.
The Pirlo shout is correct btw, if you're the best player on a champions league team and a world cup team, with a ridiculous career, you deserve at least a top 10 shout
Pirlo and modric are in the same category. Ppl haven’t watched young pirlo. He was a number 8 who dribbled past players and carried the ball. Very similar to modric . He became a 6 when he was old. Respect pirlo.
@@hazz2620 agreed, I think people's perception of him is actually skewed by his later Juve years where like you said he was more of a 6. He's Jorginho if Jorgi was 10x better technically and defensively and as a passer.

Awful take. At no point was Ramos the undisputed best cb in the world. He was always up there and sometimes maybe the best, but he was always contested. One of the greatest cb careers achievement wise and he was crucial, but nowhere near being the actual best
Ramos perception is heavily skewed because he scored important goals. On the idea of pure defending ability, he is no where amongst the best to ever do it. Diego Godin and Chiellini are better pure defenders. Both the anchors of defensive club and NT which they led to success.
So much context is left out when people talk about Inter and Barcelona winning the Champions League without Zlatan it's actually crazy. Torres today is closest to vardy 100%. Blistering pace in behind ( vardy is defo quicker but still ) and elite one on one finishing against keepers. Also both have a moment of excellence in them that can turn a game out of nothing

Beckham deserves a shout for what he did in '99
nowhere near the best that year lol
@@asianwarrior2193 Apparently he was second best.
Beckham was elite that season one of the best player in that team
Pirlo is insanely underrated. Pirlo is 100% in the same tier as Modric Xavi and Iniesta. Faysal is deluded.
Big ups faisal for the hazard and suarez prop, bruddah knows ball.
Hazard extremely overrated he really rates hazard above dinho
To me personally THIS IS THE LINEUP. The chemistry is so good and it's so fun to listen to
Stars looking like Jinder Mahal😂😂
during the 2010 world cup all four semi finalists had a player with the most goals in the tournament, villa, sneijder, forlan and muller; all on 5 goals.
CONGRATS TO BIG BENZ!
Ronaldo hasn’t said that .
Torres was a great shout, won his country their first major title, amazing domestic season and was the only player in the world 11 that didn’t win a trophy. Prime Torres was unplayable
To be fair Ramos won Madrid the 2014 UCL, by scoring 2 goals in the semi final and the clutch goal in the final, on top of being the best defender
Not saying he deserves a Ballon d'Or of course but it's not the worst shout
They made him seem like an average player defensively, sure he had his flaws but he absolutely elite
He has like a million goal line clearances and he always delivered in big games for madrid, good that fayz is there cuz he knows what ramos was about
Griezmann actually ranked top 3 in a couple of the years😅
2016 when he went to a UCL and Euro final and was too scorer of the euros and in 2018 when he won Europa league/World Cup and was 2nd scorer of the World Cup
20min and one of the best episodes, the grizzzman pick 😭😭😭😭
Grizi finished 3rd twice and without messi and ronaldo would have won in 2016
Still crazy how Milito wasn’t even nominated in 2010
Sneijder in 2010 comes to mind for me immediately
Ribery 2013 comes to mind immediately

Pirlo definitely in the modric , xavi , iniesta category 🐐
Fayz just has real Madrid bias
With Kroos too
No
The fact that so many of Messi’s teammates are on this list just proves even more how much he makes his teammates better compared to anyone else in the history of football you could argue for Xavi, Iniesta, Villa, Neymar, Suarez even Samuel eto, Henry it’s crazy
Facts
@hfc villa literally tried to imitate messis playing style in the NT
@hfc if villa had even close to the same numbers that messi had i would agree lol, just wasnt the case
Not even a mention of Bale is absolutely criminal.
true
I guess bcos he’s never had that mental year where he was top 3 ballondor level
😂
The disrespect on sergio fucking ramos’s name is A DISGRACE
Van dijk is clear of Ramos as a defender. And hazard is the most overrated player to play the sport
Comparing sneijder with jorginho is crazy, sneijder was actually top 2 midfielders that year imo
@Itz Elytra in 2010 I rate Sneijder above Xavi slightly but Iniesta above Sneijder
@Itz Elytra I am also a dutch man so maybe a little bias but even if you look at what he achieved that year he was defo top 3 and for me top 2 midfielders
@Itz Elytra you put Xavi above Iniesta that year how??
@Itz Elytrahow old are you ? They weren't, they only finished higher because they won the worldcup..if it was the other way around he would've have won it
@Itz Elytra it isn't 50/50 xavi was better but iniesta got more credit because of that winner .....fact is xavi was Spain and barca moat important midfielder, the rest were replaceable
The guy that looks like Ferran Torres is SPOT ON about Pirlo
He was called "the maestro" for a reason, he was a fully complete midfielder that pulled all the strings for a long, long time. He's Jorginho if Jorgi was 10x better technically and defensively and as a passer.
@@snoopraptor thank you. People forgetting how he used to dribble past players like they weren’t there and carry the ball from deep exactly like modric.
seeing lyes in the lineup just fills me with joy
You odd
this cast cannot be dropped the chemistry that is here is mad
Cool that they got Ferran Torres to come onto the podcast
Bro I thought I was the only one😂😂
The hazard and kante disrespect is unreal
Faysal’s got agendas on Pirlo. You can’t say he doesn’t influence games, controls games and doesn’t produce moments of magic with a straight face. He sits on the same table as Zizou, Iniesta and Modric
No this where people are wrong. Zizou sits at a different table alone. He was clearly the best out of all of them he’s on another level
for me top 5 are zizou, xavi, iniesta, pirlo & modric. faysal tried so hard to push modric to the top he had to bring down pirlo etc
But yes pirlo sits on the same table as xavi and Iniesta. What most people like faysal don’t know about pirlo is that when he was young he was literally another modric. A ball carrier and dribbler. A number 8. When he became older he sat deep and became a deep like playmaker. A number 6. Respect him
The fact that he was able to change his game and maintain that world class ability is insane. You don’t find many players at all doing that
pirlo for brescia, inter and ac milan was like scholes in his early days on united. more of a shooter, ball carrier, creative 8/10. only later in there career they were deep lying playmakers
Dennis Bergkamp was 2nd for ballon d'or in the year 1993 when he played for inter and 3rd for Ajax the year before , he isn't a bad shout. He was elite at 2 different clubs before joining Arsenal
he was an inter flop
The Torres Morata comparison was spot on. No lie I was thinking Morata before he said his name.
Nah the disrespect on Kante these man didn’t watch kante week in week out one of the best cdms ever he was unstoppable for 5 years run everywhere read everything the other team was doing couldn’t past him his. I actually dont mind the Ramos best CB ever shout by Faysal
😭😭😭😭😭💀💀💀💀💀
ramos is an awful defender how is he the best cb ever are you lot dumb?
@@uyema5275 I see your point, they were clear of him defensively, but what did that get them? L’s against the man himself!!
Actually love the Griezmann pick, he is so underrated🙌🏽
So much context is left out when people talk about Inter and Barcelona winning the Champions League without Zlatan it's actually crazy. He's not bad in that competition at all honestly he just hasn't won it, happens to the best of them (aka R9). Also Neuer and Bergkamp deserve A LOT more respect on this list lads, whats going on here 🤨love the pod tho keep it up 👏
“Pirlo can’t play that thru ball in behind” 😂 these boys need to get an education
yeah, ridiculous
The mad thing about this is the fact that if Benz never won the ballon dor yesterday he wouldn’t be in the top 10 to never win it

Torres today is closest to vardy 100%. Blistering pace in behind ( vardy is defo quicker but still ) and elite one on one finishing against keepers. Also both have a moment of excellence in them that can turn a game out of nothing
I thought so too.

In terms of who reminds me of Torres , Two people come to mind , 1st) Lewandowski , body shape both large tall player that are very technical and deadly finishers . Cavani also same profile

looking back at this i couldnt tell but after that world cup episode you can tell he is one of them ronaldo fanboys
dude talking about Pirlo being better than Modric like he watched him play in 2000-2010 when he was probably 5-10 years old and watched youtube highlight at best. Nostalgia hitting hard
That’s the same for you. If you watched a young pirlo he played very similar to modric. He was an 8. A ball carrier. A dribbler. The man dribbled past players like they weren’t there. Only when he was old he became a 6. A deep line playmaker. Respect pirlo he’s as good as modric.

Lampard 2009/10
27 goals 22 assists in all comps
Fa cup and premier league double pivotal to both , chelsea broke the record for most goals scored in a season he gave 20% of them from central midfield while getting back and making tackles in a team with drogba, anelka, shevchenko, malouda etc , deserves a mention lamps never has and never will get the credit he deserves
the hate on xavi as a manager is ridiculous, he's literally had no defenders for the first 2 weeks of october in the most important matches. its like arteta if he lost saliba and gabriel and had to play rob holding at CB.
very true indeed, judging his capabilities as a manager on one year is ridiculous
top 10 players the streets won't forget
We need that prem review bruv
That Griezmann disrespect is crazyyyy. 2016 Balon Dor would’ve been his if it wernt for Messi and Ronaldo. Even 2018 he had a shout. Ppl forget how he was France’s main man and Atletico’s

And later Messi would do it all.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Pirlo is unbelievable, he defo has the top 3 passing in football history and any attacker would love to have him passing him the ball and any manager would love him
yeah, i actually think he never watched pirlo not even highlights just big moments like the freekick and the penalty because no way you could be serious saying pirlo wouldnt make that pass to rodrygo that just shouts that you dont know pirlo , he is clear of modric in terms of passing he is def top 3 for me with iniesta xavi in terms of passing

2. Henry
3. Iniesta
4. Suarez
5. Xavi
6. Salah
7. Bale
8. Lewandowski
9. Hazard
10. Eto‘o
Pogba would’ve won it for me in 2018. One of the best CMs in the world, one of the best performing CMs in the prem , finished 2nd in the prem and Fa cup in which he was instrumental. Then he carried France to World Cup glory in 2018. Basically MOTM in the final according to all credible football rating companies. Scored in the final from outside the box too. One of the best defensive performers in midfield
Bro stop waffling, in no year was pogba even top 5 not speaking of no 1. Rakatic that year played better even
@@jajsjdh4490 other than Messi, Pogba is a strong candidate. When I’m seeing Van Dijk, Neuer, Jorginho, Mane etc get ballon dor shouts , Pogba has just as much right. Modric won it in 2018, and Pogba was better than him in the World Cup. Modric won the WC18 golden ball because he played for the underdog team.
But everyone knew Pogba was the best player at the tournament. It’s not like Messi winning it in 2014 because he dominated areas like dribbling and chance creation in a poor, poor Argentine team and literally carried them to the final. Modric wasn’t REALLY doing that if we’re being honest, he gained from the Madrid propaganda. Pogba performed better statistically that season over Modric too, and Modric was in a UCL winning team. You’re letting British media cloud who Pogba really was
You’re waffling 😭
@@stackguap you’re rattled by facts my guy, Modric wins Ballon Dor for being a World Cup finalist but Pogba can’t for actually being clutch the whole tournament and helping his team win it ? Snm
@hfc there’s no way in hell you watched Modric for all 40+ games, he wasn’t even at his best in the 17/18 season that’s the funny part about him winning the Ballon Dor that year , cuz it was a joke. I think Messi finished 8th when having the highest g/a in the world, European golden boot and a league title.
I feel like this topic was misunderstood. It shouldn't be "the biggest ballondor robberies" it should simply be the BEST players that don't have a ballondor to their name. sneijder should never be above maldini
Gotta do top 10 teams like
Barca 2009
Real 2018

@@The_Duude99 im not sure which year it was but we all know what I meant thx for correcting tho
the disrespect on Pirlo was actually insane. Id personally rate him in the bracket with Xavi, Iniesta etc but i can understand if people disagree but trying to say he doesnt have the range of passing or control over the game is abysmal, he was the definition of control, finesse, creativity, and game changing. Faysal has not watched him play, i doubt he even watched a highlight reel.
I think Rooney definitely had a year or two where he could be considered a ballon dor winner
Confused
the disrespect to neuer is unreaal, definitely a candidate for the top 5
