nice video! would love to see another video similar to this with an emphasis on gonial angle/mandible implants! Barely any info online about these. Would love to see some of the implant tech mandible angle options and how they fit on the bone, and what the surgery process is like if possible, think a video like that would help a lot of people.
Hi sorry for asking this question as the video is not about buccal fat removal, but in some older videos you stated you take out 100% of the buccal fat that’s easily accessible, so I’m assuming this means you don’t take out the entire buccal fat pads, let’s say a surgeon went digging for more and forced out the entire buccal fat pad on each side of the face, meaning there’s no more buccal fat to take out. Would this give a more aggressive result, and no longer deliver a subtle change and possibly make your cheeks hollow ?
Hi Doctor, Thanks for replying. Could you lemme know the reason as to why cartilage can’t be used for infraorbital augmentation ?? Would be very helpful!!
Respected sir i have a question What are the chances of high density polyethylene implants getting rejected by body or infected ? And are there any safe implants for forhead augmentation also ? Please reply
Thank you for the video! Can someone can get an extended custom malar contoured implant along with an extended orbital rim implant? Would it be achievable with custom porous polyethylen implants? Also, when you secure those implants, is it all done through an oral incision? I had a severe road accident 7 years ago with multiple facial fractures (LeFort 1, maxillary, mandibular...). The orbital floor bone on one side was injured to a small degree and they chose not to do anything. They fixed the rest with plates and screws. I am 32F, and looking for long-term permanent options to augment the region of my upper cheeks and tear through. Thank you!
Hello Doctor, If someone has malar/maxilla & cheekbones similar to yourself ? They don't necessary need implant for augmentation right? fillers augmentation would do the trick right?
Absolutely. I always say depends on “goals and desires” because nobody NEEDS anything. But yes- fillers can achieve subtler more temporary results that are enough to make most patients happy.
Thanks doctor. Ok basically I have your face, and if you had to give your ownself a bit more projection to your cheekbones and not look obviously overdone, are there implants small enough to add or would you gradually work with fillers ? what would you on yourself ? @@jonathanzelkenmd
awesome, if however someone does not have the budget with the rz petite implant they can achieve the same with fillers right? and get it touch up after a while@@jonathanzelkenmd
I have both negative canthal tilt & negative eye vector. I got 3mm medpor infraorbital rim implants but their projection is far too little to fix my problems. Would these onlay orbital implants be a solution for me?
This was a truly fascinating and informative video. Thank you, Dr. Zelken! Please keep them coming!
Thanks. We hope the audio and video are more clear. We are having issues with some RUclips TV apps and sound/image.
thanks for your video theres so little info on the internet on this type of stuff
Absolutely- plan on doing more
Really interesting and well done 👍 I love these I learn so much from watching 🙌🙌
Thanks Jeanne I hope the audio and video was okay
@@jonathanzelkenmd excellent as always Dr Z
I really want cheek implants.
👍

@@jonathanzelkenmd Awesome! Just saw that styker does medpor mandible angle implants too, would be cool to see those as well if possible!
Could you do a similar video on silicone implants in the future as well? Thank you for the information
Yup that would be great!

I think taking out more than the buccal body is futile and potentially harmful.
Is there any programs to see what the outcome of facial implants will look like ?
Superb question but no.

I suppose it could but warping and stabilization could be problematic.

Hello doctor, can facial implants fix the asymmetry instead of the surgery?
Placement of facial implants is surgery- not sure I understand
@@jonathanzelkenmd I mean can facial implants fix the asymmetry without needing to have a jaw surgery
Potentially yes
anyone from Liam aka giant

Yes. This is all possible and would be achievable through an intra-oral and transconjunctival (inner eyelid) incision

Probably
How does cheek implants age ?
Generally, they age well
How can you tell if a medpor in the premaxillary is infected?
You’d really need to be seen by your surgeon.
@@jonathanzelkenmd ok, I was just wonder if there were signs to look for.
Warmth, tenderness, redness, swelling, fevers
@@jonathanzelkenmd ok thanks.
Will ct scan confirm an infection?

Possibly but you’d need to be seen in person.
Which approach is used to place these? Transconjuctival or subciliary? And what implants are better silicon or medpor?

is medpor forehead implant permanent?
No in the sense it can be reversed if needed
Medpor forehead implant permanent
Ok
