I am considering this, I have PCOS and a long history of ED's that have wrecked my metabolism. Getting a double chin didn't happen until I was significant overweight due to having a strong jaw. And I think having my jaw back and enjoying my face more would really help me get motivated for the rest of my body. I haven't gained weight in years, it's just losing after wrecking my metabolism + making sure I dont back slide.

Darien It went really well! I’m very happy with my results although I did have some abnormal scarring the first couple of months. Apparently they call it tunnel scaring but it’s mostly healed by now after 5 months!

This video demonstrates that you’re an AMAZING surgeon. A number of practitioners would just go ahead and do the lipo or non-surgical treatment like Kybella or Coolsculpting without taking the facial structure into consideration. Some procedures may make the person look WORSE. In a number of “double-chin” cases, the person just has a receding chin, and adding the implant virtually eliminates the double-chin.
oooh I didnt know about the old looking neck part I don't want that...I am 46 and I always had a slight double chin even when I was 120 lbs. This is great info

I had lipo done to my neck in Boston’s and what an absolute nightmare. I thought I was getting like 10cc of fat removed from my chin. But I Got aggressive lipo done to my neck and it aged me a good decade. Looks uneven and unnatural. So upsetting to come out of surgery looking significantly worse than how I went in.

Hi Doctor! My question is, after I get chin lipo will I still be allowed to get botox injected into the masseter muscle and yield the same results? Masseter reduction through botox has really helped my confidence, but unfortunately it has a jowling effect at times, which almost becomes more apparent to me when the botox wears off actually. I have been wanting to get chin lipo for years (hereditary, I'm underweight and have good chin projection) but I wonder if it's a pointless endeavor since I still strive to get botox in the masseter. Are you asking the patients to push their head forward when taking these before/after photos? Because I can notice their posture is incorrect which gives them the appearance/insecurities of double chin. They need to do corrective exercises so the head aligns properly (perhaps before going the invasive route)

I am one week post op I look HORRENDOUS can’t stop crying I would never have done this if I knew how bad it could look. I have a dimpled pocket of fat still under my chin jaw with a huge deep line through it where the cannula was. I’m scarred for life
You won’t see full results until like 8 weeks post-op. You’re still swollen.

@@star.cat. no and I’m still in a lot of pain where he has been over aggressive with the cannula I have painful track marks along my neck like someone tried to cut my head off. They hurt to touch but I am trying to massage gently. Can’t move my head left and right or up and down all the way without the skin feeling like it will rip. I’m only at 3 weeks.
@@arose27 I’m actually not, I was the first week. The areas where he has taken fat aren’t swollen at all now. Only place I can find similar pics of others like me are on realself. The ones who have been botched.

I had a consultation and the doctor said it’s possible that there could be nerve injury from this procedure but will go back to normal after a few months. How likely is this?

Is it fine when the doctor doesn't mark your jawline or cheeks ? My doctor didn't do that she just marked under my chin and my neck . I saw most doctors on RUclips marked it and laser along the markings. I had my surgery last week so it's too early to judge. I'm waiting for swelling and fluid to go down. It still looks like my jaw has no angle but it's probably the fluid build up. It's been 3 days since the surgery .

Does the lipo also tighten the skin or is that a separate procedure?
Lipo would actually loosen the skin more, because it just sucks fat out. If you have too much loose skin afterwards, that's what a tummy tuck would be for. But most times your skin will just bounce back to normal (elasticity).
He explains it in the video, it’s a seperate procedure to tighten the skin.
What is the price range for such procedure? And if someone was going to get abdominal liposuction, would it be cheaper to add a chin lipo procedure since you’ll be under for the ab lipo?

Im 29 and I’ve had 3 treatments of kybella and it’s had no impact. I’m considering lipo, if I place my tongue on the roof of my mouth the submental fat isn’t so bad but if I don’t I look like a bullfrog. Would lipo help?

The earlier you get it the better I think. I’d imagine it would only get worse if it’s not going away with weight loss or it’s just impossible naturally now due to age. If you are older 40+ and have more of a turkey neck they’re going to suggest a neck lift. If your chin doesn’t have that much fat it’s still possible to tighten with the type of lipo you get. He showed an example of the older patient and said there’s non surgical procedures you can do after to try and tighten it but that age isn’t the best to get lipo because skin elasticity decreases
The loose skin will reattach it wants to reattach actually thats why he says it needs to be done aggressively rather than conservative as it makes it more likely to snatched thats why this doctor has so many good before and afters cause he lipoes on the aggressive side but also most his before and after are younger than 40

You need to get massages EVERY day!
My cousin specializes in post surgery massages and I’ve learned a lot by watching before and after results with and without massages. Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) massage is frequently recommended by plastic surgeons during the recovery phase.
My whole life I have had a big round face 😂 even when I was super skinny at 100 lbs I still had a double chin…

Medical doctors are the same way!
A lot of those patients need too lose weight first than get work done on their faces. As you lose weight you will also have a thinner face. As far as weight gain, you can also get disease like diabetes, Cancer, and heart disease.

Not necessarily, I am only slightly overweight in my body but if you only saw me from the neck up you’d think I was morbidly obese and I eat one meal a day. Every body is different.
