How long should a flint last

It depends on the flint. Each one is different. I’ve been testing flints to see how long they last. I have had some last over 25 “shots” without knapping and some with much less. You should be able to knapp a flint a few times to sharpen it and extend its life. I believe a lot of it comes down to experience and skill as well.
