That one note change is so simple yet very efficient. Just figured that the melodic minor modes are also just one note different from the c major modes. And if you see the form on the fretboard it’s the same one changing. Theoretically I knew this but it didn’t clicked like now. Nice ;)
I always thought I already knew all this stuff, however, this video condenses it and turns it into something really useful. This is a great base to integrate into daily practice. Thanks!
I can’t wait to get home and explore with these ideas. I’ve been feeling somewhat stressed lately with my limited practice time in memorizing all the scale forms, it seems much easier to know the major and then just how to modify it.
Love it. Thanks, Rotem, for a very productive year of learning. Happy holiday and best of luck for the album launch. Pre saved on Spotify and such a pity the NYC is so far away.
Beginner question, best tip to navigate on the fretboard in any note from any string on the same scale. I see you can easily start a scale and simply go right (higher), go up, upright. Any tip on how to feel?
Learn the modes until you can truly hear and feel the nature of each mode, it takes some practice and time but you will eventually create kind of a map in your brain where you can spontaniously decide which mode you want to play to a certain part of a song. Something like "oh yeah that dimished sound will fit in here now", because you already know from --->experience. Hope this makes sense.

👌🎧✨🤍💫 Merry Christmas to you and a happy new groovy and jazzy year 2024 🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻
Great video, it would be cool to have a part 2 with more exotic scales.
Great tuition. ?why the elastic bands?

An excellent way to explain scales and modes - this really helped me - Many thanks.
Happy Holidays, Rotem!!
Happy holiday and thank for your clear and simple way to explain complex and beautifull things.

Have you checked out the "Klezmer" scale or 5th mode of harmonic minor? Been playing around with it. Thanks for the video!
Great video. What's missing is when and where to use these modes
