Great place! Thanks for the video!
Love this. It's going on my list of "must visits!" Good quality video, as usual. Thanks!
What an awesome looking town! And those mountains in the distance... beautiful.
I love your videos and not only for Jax but for how you show cool things in America in addition to your daily life in a rv. You would make a great Saturday morning cartoon, The Nomadic Fanatic and his Amazing cat Jax show us ,for example, the Bavarian village of Leavenworth. I think it sounds cool. Tfs and hugs from Christine
nice....peaceful...great Sunday evening video to watch.
thank you for visiting Leavenworth , Washington it a beautiful place and I loved seeing all the shops just sorry there wasn't any night life.
What a lovely little town, thanks for the tour
Really loved the music you put with this one!Very peaceful!
Looks like a great place - the Deutsche bier und wurst looks delicious !
The only way I could tell you weren't in a real Bavarian village was the stars and stripe hanging off the front of nearly every building. Keep up the good work, Eric, your cinematography is fantastic.
going to put it on must visit list thnak's eric
Eric this was very cool thank you!!!
I went to Bavaria while I was stationed in Germany. Good video!
I always enjoy your video, thanks for sharing :-)
brat without kraut and mustard is a sad and lonely dog
+DataSlam And, it might have prevented the heartburn. ;)
+DataSlam Or onions & peppers. Yum.
+DataSlam I totally agree. Got to at least have mustard.
+DataSlam LOL
+DataSlam Pass the Grey Poupon please ! ha. agree kraut & mustard. yum.
It was so wonderfull i had to watch it again
My friend who lives in Leavenworth said Sunday nights are quiet.Friday and Saturday nights are very active, especially during Oktoberfest.
We were in Leavenworth last fall. It was really neat, a lot of walking though. We had lunch in the same little outdoor restaurant. There are a lot of husband benches for us guys. It was a nice day trip from Magnolia.
You make me miss Washington state so much!!
Too cute village. German food is usually excellent. Have a nice time, Donna
Reminds me of Solvang, a lot of junk for sale. But, I would like to visit someday.
Boy in the old movies they always used to say "You better watch out, you'll find yourself in Leavenworth.". Looks like a nice place. :)
a very wonderful Bavarian village with cool deer!
A friend of mine's family own a really nice log cabin in Leavenworth.
Eric my wife and I were there in 1986 and it has changed a great deal since then. Thanks for showing me the updated version.
Absolutely beautiful, thank you for sharing!
Oh man, beautiful trees, love that they are turning red already
+OnePrepAhead
in the Northwest our trees stay green.
Washington the Evergreen state.
another great video Eric. Keep up the good work.
Really enjoyed a look at that place. Sorry to hear they roll up the sidewalks so early. They are probably worried about their Octoberfest turning into Sturgis West. I usually skip the bread. I like the wursts on a plate with some spaetzle or potato dumpling, some kraut or red cabbage and lots and lots of mustard.
That was beautiful!
Awesome place.
Love this walk through!
I am pleased to see that the superstar is relaxed
+yorkshire1able Haha. Gotta have those good days to help my spirits. :)
+Nomadic Fanatic Superstar = jax
Really kool place. Yeah your right. You'd expect them to have something going on at night.
Went through Leavenworth once nice little town
I went there during Oktoberfest in '04 I had SOO much fun! Thanks for the video.
cool looking town
this looks like one of the nicest places....being that is different than other small towns...thanks for sharing...I agree every town needs some night life even if it is just that one joint in the edge of town or a section of downtown
+Diana Smith I've since been told that evenings in the winter are full of nightlife. :)
Night life in Leavenworth does happen .... once the ski season starts the younger crowd is in town and it gets rockin. Octoberfest is all of us old foggies fondly looking at the bratwurst and remembering happier days ... LOL Also Leavenworth is famous the World over for the Xmas show ... the whole town is the North Pole ... great for the kids. Thats from Thanksgiving to Christmas. It really pretty ... but boring if you still have a pulse!
your awesome because your a rammstein fan... I love the tattoo!
Du Hast Mich! :)
Nice video Eric....Enjoyed
You are a great tour guide ! Thanks
Nice little Village I lived in Bavaria for a while and it brought Memories back seeing the Architecture, Thank you for sharing Eric :-) Missy Jenn
Awesome looking little town ! I had no idea a place like that existed in the states. Thanks much for sharing !
nice vid Eric. Well done!
Like the new intro, and that is a neat little town.
Agree nightlife would have great potential like afterski beerstube beerhouse music and good food great video as always Love to see you out and exploring kind regards Marcus Sweden
Great video! Thanks for sharing. I would love to go there someday.
I ridden around Bavaria, Switzerland , Austria. And the buildings look just like those in your video Eric. Thanks for the movie :-)
Very cool town...Thank you...
Christmas time is awesome... Lights and festivities Galore in Leavenworth..
Nice video, I always like towns that do the Bavarian theme. Bet that place looks awesome in the winter also. Enjoy the next leg of your trip. Nice cameo by Jax at the end :)
looks like a great spot. Reminds me of Solvang, CA but more of it.
Awesome place it looks very interesting
wow that is a beautiful town. thank you NF
Looks just like Solvang here in southern CA if you ever find yourself down here you should check it out
+Shawn Eaton Are you sure? The achitecture in this town looks distinctly austrian, whereas Solvang was build by a group of danish settlers. Only the exposed beams are common in most of Europe. Just curious about the history and I wonder what language is spoken by the inhabitants.
Nice video but the music didn't 'fit'
I just went to Oktoberfest in Munich! Crazy to think of how many celebrations there are across the world.
I got distracted for a second and thought you said "Barbarian village" ha now that would be cool
Hi Eric, just stopping by to comment and say I'm really enjoying your videos. I'm a newcomer to you channel so I'm also catching up on your older videos when I can. Thanks for sharing.
I would have thought the town would be good at night, especially where you ate. I agree with you, definitely a missed opportunity.
That is one great cat! I saw the vid where you lost him and you were really upset. I don't blame you ONE bit. He seems like a real prince among the paupers. I've seen cats that are real jerks. Believe me when I tell you, That's one special puddy!
ive been there many times special place
beautiful mountains
Well shot video! My brother lives in Seattle and he has never mentioned this town. Looks like a nice place to visit! Safe travels, Eric!
Plenty of night life, in Leavenworth ! You just got to know where to look ! Try some of the back streets on the other side of town, Places the locals like to hang out.
That town looks just like towns in the black forest in Germany. I would love to visit this town to relieve my travel abroad.
I was there last summer..for a white water trip. Beautiful town.... =)
Bavarian architecture looks freezing cold...even on a hot day.
Thanks so much for this video, Eric! I live North of Leavenworth in BC, and have been wanting to make a trip over the border to check it out. I've heard it is amazing at Christmas time! After seeing your video it is now at the top of my 'to visit' list!
Have you ever considered going to Europe with your rv and Jax for a longer period? You could save a lot on grocery bills by travelling places like Romania or Bulgaria. Mexico could be awesome too.
Love the theme song ;)
It almost turns me on.
***** thought you guys might catch on:)
Nice little town.
When I was in Germany the brats were served on a smaller bun. Sausage hangs out a couple inches on either side of the bun. I think I know what I'm making for dinner tonight.
like this episode alot music is nice
Thanks Eric. We eat the Bratwurst with mustard...
Tourist Trap now verified. Thanks Eric.
I've been there at Christmas, and it's just beautiful! Also the Octobofest, and the Mayday festival. You just have to be there at the right time. Be sure to stop in Bozeman and check out the Museum of the Rockies, when you get to Montana!
+Barbara Webster If he's heading east he could stop at The Iowa 80 Truck Stop and museum and the biggest truck accessory toy store for grown men!!
I just hope he gases on it or he'll be enjoying some more frozen in fun at the worse places known to be snowed in at! The upper states!
Ole Man Winter? He's heading in!
OH it is not a secret!!!!! beautiful...
YES Time to go EAST ! Pretty little town !
great video haven't been there for sometime. looks like nothing has changed their .
There is a little Bavarian village in Helen, GA, near where I live. Reminds me so much of this one. Maybe you will make it over our way one day.
Ho, Ho, Hello Eric, Yes Sir, that sure looks like you're right here in Germany. Only here in Germany you won"t see so many Americain Flags, and our parking spaces are much smaller. Thanks for the super videos, keep up the great work. I love them. Santacerely, Santa Gilbert
Hey first of all nice video captured . I really liked the music in the starting of the video. Please also mention in which state you are travelling a kind of MAP, so that viewers like me in India got to know . well rest is good.
Fall in definitely in the air as evidenced by the changing colour of the leaves. It appears that Leavenworth is much bigger than Frankenmuth, MI, but both have that Bavarian flare. Enjoy your travels and looking forward to seeing more videos.
That place is a real eye candy. They must have some strict bylaws over there to keep everything tidy!
Eric, please video some of the drive though Eastern Washington. I just want to see the difference. Thanks for another video. Jax rocks!
That little town reminds me of Gatlinburg in a lot of ways.
From what Ive heard the town was failing in the early 1900s because of loss of mining and timber industries pulling out. So in the 1960s they decided to create a Bavarian look and undertook quite an effort to transform the facade on all the buildings. However they knew that was not enough so they created a series of festivals to draw the tourists in. Octoberfest and Christmas lights are now two of the most popular. They accomplished their goal as it is definitely a big tourist area. There is also a big presence of artists living in the town. Our neighbor has a timeshare there. In the winter there is a small ski hill but just up the road about 40 minutes there is the wonderful Stevens Ski area.
Made me want to jump in the RV and head to Leavenworth! Too bad I'm 3000 miles away in Virginia!
Nothing better than a brat and beer.
Enjoyed the video Eric! Sadly there aren't enough free parking spots. Agree on the lack of night life in Leavenworth, only time I think there is night time activity is during Oktoberfest. But then a lot of the crazy locals come out, I've gone a few times, LOL! :)
Nice video dude...Its a fantastic place to visit..for those who wishing to see swiss/ europe in the usa..this is a go destination 4 sure..
Yes of course we don't have nightlife..city sleeps post 7pm ...But yes worth a lifetime visit.
Was here in Laevenworth and stayed in one of its cabins( though very pricy)..in January this year...not that great time to visit due to excessive snow.
wow wow wee wow
Eric, Don't tell me you ate that big beautiful Brat dry...? Is that even allowed in a town like that?
Where was the sauerkraut and the spicy brown mustard? And you thought you had heartburn before, hang on........
Great video.
+Mark Kennedy lol!
good luck. 😎 👌 🐈 🚙 🍺😴 مناضر جميله حيات سعيده👋
Next time you're in the kc area come to Leavenworth, I'll host you and show you some night life. Great video!!!
Interesting little town. Seems it has no reason to exist, except as a tourist Mecca.
Thanks for the tour.
Good Vibrations, brother.
Good morning Eric
Oktoberfest must be nice there.
Dutch wonderland!
I really like cats if you know what I mean
+Odorous Smegma They also make great tacos. An old taco stand outside of Gate 3 or was it #2, Kadena AFB Okinawa, there was a stand we all went to and ate plate fulls of them and there were 1000;'s of pictures of troops setting records they were so good all over the walls and ceiling!
Well, after I went home about 10 years later I find out the place was put off limits to US personnel because the locals figured out why the dog and cat population in the area was so low.
OK, when you are drunk, a kid away 10,000 miles away from home and it's good eats, ya follow the crowd! No! I would not be eating Stache or Baby even if I got that hungry! That would be like cannibalism! But they were damn good Tacos!
