I got to meet cash when I was little. My great grandfather loved him and never missed a show when he would come through. I don't remember much other than him saying 'quite don't you know who that man is. It's Johnny Cash.' I later got to shake his hand and he told me I was a beautiful little girl. Ah now I miss my grandpa.
He does the Elvis dance so well! (Sorry I don’t know the name of the dance); I’m only 20; how did Johnny live so long! What an absolute legend! 50/60’s music was amazing! Wish I lived when they did! Jerry lee, Elvis and Johnny would have been incredible to see live!
It was very funny, Elvis must have laughed a lot when he saw this.😁 they were good friends, I wish they had a performance together, and how good Johnny sounds, I wish he performed the whole song seriously too.
I forgot to mention after he did the imitation of Elvis, Marshall Grant had a revolver in his coat and pulled it out as Johnny was combing his hair and dropped his comb on the stage floor after imitating Elvis as shooting at Lice on the comb of Johnny Cash. I think it was a Colt 45 or something like that.and the crowd jumped up for the noise scared the shit out of everybody as it was echoed through the arena. I remember the nice brown suit he was wearing with Goochie shoes. I was young at the time now I'm 75. Buck Owens was also pretty big at that time.
I saw him do that imitation in person in 1962 at the McIntyre arena in Timmins. Good show, him and Johnny Western, Gordon Terry. Gates Lepine was there also and spoke with the man himself about song writing. I was right at his feet in front of the stage.. I think he was a little zonked out haha. He kept putting his thumb in his mouth as if he was holding his teeth or something haha. But he looked good in a nice brown suit and a tie which he pulled of after busting a few guitar strings. hehee. "Johnny Yuma the Rebel" was on his roster then. Jim prince from CKGB radio was hoping he'd come to the station to say hello. Good luck on that one. haha. Love the man.
Johnny did a great impersonation of a man impersonating Elvis.. So hilarious. But when asked of Elvis who his favorite Elvis impersonator was, Elvis answered, Andy Kaufman.
Elvis gave Johnny Cash his start in 1955 when they both were on the Sun Records Label. Johnny and his Tennessee Two opened for Elvis for 4 months on tour. They were life long friends.
For all you haters out there Johnny cash is awesome, maybe not as awesome as elvis but he wasn't trying to make fun of him he was trying to impersonate and elvis impersonator he clearly stated that before he started
for all you haters out there is a strong word, its not right of you to do that, just because some question it, in turn, i could say to all you haters out there, see my point, its useless, and serves no purpose, in life,
Love this! Just a joke. Elvis was hilarious too, when he was supposed to assume "macho" attitudes (see him in "Trouble", he's giggling with the audience). Johnny is such an special person and artist. Love his voice, his acting, his funny and thoughtful moments.
omg guys stop arguing, johnny cash did this as a comedical thing. He never mocked him he stated what he was doing before he did it and it was supposed to be a funny thing not being jelous. you are just hating johnny cash lol
I read in George Klein's book Elvis My Best Man he and Elvis were on a train a girl saw him she thought Elvis was Johnny Cash she asked him to sing a line of his songs and a signature so Elvis Inpersonated Johnny Cash and inpersonatinated his signature
I've never seen Johnny Cash so animated or smile before! I wonder if Elvis liked this, they toured together in the early days so he must've watched this.
Linda Lee : Johnny Cash is as great as Elvis, one of them is The country man and the other The rock'n'roll man and in fact they liked very much both of them. If you dont know what a joke is, then go away, and keep silent.
Hauru Eikichi Why would you wish ill will on other people? You shouldn't do that. Weren't we taught be our Savior to love, pray for, not judge, not condemn and to forgive one another? Yes he did. So please stop.

@@leslieweger3586 yeah. You should check out Elvis' impersonation of Johnny Cash in 1970, where unlike this where it wasnt meant to sound like Elvis, in Elvis' impersonation of Johnny, Elvis sounds just like Johnny. Crazy. ruclips.net/video/1CAudY_pAjw/видео.html
And then Elvis impersonated Cash, and did a couple of his songs, Folsom Prison and I Walk The Line, in Vegas. He of course did a great job. Buddies having a good time. Cash was just joking that if he tried to do the Elvis hip sway, he’d probably hurt himself, haha. But really he wouldn’t. Just self-deprecating, that’s all.

They were great friends and were way ahead of their time. God Bless them!
A video that lets us feel the greatness of Elvis.
ELVIS THE KING OF ROCK N ROLL.
It was very funny, Elvis must have laughed a lot when he saw this.😁 they were good friends, I wish they had a performance together, and how good Johnny sounds, I wish he performed the whole song seriously too.
Elvis probably loved this act from his friend.
Unless he tuned in at the exact time this was aired. If not, then tough luck, no RUclips in the 50s.
@@MoogerTuber 🤣🤣👍
Elvis did one of Johnny they toured together that's how this came about.
He looks like he could hurt himself doing that....Love the line "If my pants fall down Ill have to charge you extra...." Thats so funny.

Even Johnny got this wrong. He was doing an impression, not trying to impersonate. Impersonating a person is illegal.

Your right. Cash was only the King of Country Music which he dominated.
I still only like and listen to Johnny Cash.
He wasn't the King, he was the Man in Black.
