I was being babysat by a family friend when I was about 6 years old, (about 1969) and we watched Jailhouse Rock on TV. Well I didn't know the name of the movie or the man or anything but on the drive home I told my Mom all about the movie. When we got home and she pulls out an album and puts in on and says something coy like, "is this the movie you are talking about?" like she really wasn't sure. I pulled up a chair and literally watched the record spin while it played. Yes he was only a man, one with demons who could have made some better choices in his life. But OMG how he captured me; his voice, his looks, his moves then later I learned about his generosity of spirit and that he had a great sense of humor. It’s not jealousy. I’m on an Elvis movie binge right now and I’ve seen half of them three or four times each, and Elvis is no actor lol I watch the movies for what they are, beautiful scenery, beautiful women, and there’s a bunch of Elvis numbers in each one. It’s a winning formula if your not into artistic endeavors (outside of the musical numbers)
He was a great actor. Most of his films were soundtrack driven but he was a fine actor. So handsome and believable. I wish they could have placed him in 4-5 more films like this one. Man-alive what a treasure that would have been.

I SEE A MAN THAT NEEDED HELP AND WISH TO GOD THAT HE HAD GOTTEN IT MAYBE HE WOULD HAVE HAD THE CHANCE TO SEE HIS DAUGHTER GROW A LITTLE OLDER BUT NO ONE TRIED TO HELP HE WAS USED AS A PAYCHECK TO THE PEOPLE THAT SHOULD HAVE TAKEN CARE OF HIM……..
I grew up in the Elvis era, what a handsome man he was and what a singer. My friend and I saw the film Jailhouse Rock in the late 50's when we were 15 years old, we had just started working after leaving school.
Elvis es el mejor cantantes y seguirá siendo es muy cuapo amaremos siempre asta que llegues el día en que puedas levantar de nuevo porque eso dios promete esta en su libros ❤❤❤❤
I’m a hard core rock and roller for 60 years. But I always loved Elvis. I used to put him on when I wanted my buddies to leave. He was one special guy. God bless him. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️
FABULOUS ELVIS, DON'T LEAVE ME NOW,,. SENSATIONAL ELVIS,, WHEN HE LEFT US ,A MILLION HEARTS WERE BROKEN,,BUT ONE THING IS A FACT, WE CAN STILL ENJOY HIS MUSIC, FOREVER. THE KING FOREVER,. MAY HE REST IN PEACE.📯📯📯📯📯🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼
A piece of recording history. Everyone got one microphone, even the drummer for the whole kit. 8 tracks was all they had to a 1” tape machine…which later became 16, then 24. Amazing stuff. 😀
I've been an Elvis fan for 52 years but even I wouldn't go that far. Greater than Martin Luther King George Washington Abraham Lincoln.....? Elvis would be very embarrassed to be thought of as a greater American than Martin Luther King in particular. Comparisons are not necessary, he was great, period.
I like the scene at 1:40 where Elvis and his original band The Blue Moon Boys are featured, Bill Black bassist, D.J. Fontana drums and Scotty Moore guitarist, and some other guy
By the other guy, you mean the guy on Piano? That is the world renowned songwriter Mike Stoller of 'Jerry 'Leiber and Mike Stoller' fame. They wrote many songs for Elvis and many other big stars.
He had everything this earth could offer to any young man, looks, fame, talent, wealth and even that was not enough, he needed to take drugs. So you may want to ask why, when you have everything, it has to do with the fact that humanity has suffered all kinds of abuses thrughout history, and those experiences have become traumas that are in the subconscious, the collective of those fears, phobias, traumas etcétera is called the dweller on the treshold, that is why Plato once said : be kind to all you meet, for they all have suffered. Ponder on that!
No auto tune with Elvis, just God given talent ❤
THE GREATEST THEN AND HE WILL BE TIMELESS..AMEN ❤
Absolutely!!
Think up something original. Auto-tune was not even invented then.

IF HAD GOTTEN THE CHANCE TO SEE ELVIS LIVE IN 1977 IT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE GREATEST HONOR TO ME AND THERE IS NO WAY THAT I WOULD HAVE SAID HE WAS FAT OR HIGH SAME WITH WHITNEY HOUSTON WOULD HAVE BEEN AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE TO SEE HER PERFORM WELL OR NOT I WOULD HAVE STAYED FOR BOTH. FAME DESTROYS PEOPLE IT DESTROYED ELVIS AND ALSO NOT TO MENTION HIS WIFE WALKING OUT ON HIM WHEN HE NEEDED HELP AND WHITNEY MAKING A COMEBACK WORLD TOUR AND BOTH HAVING TO HEAR WHAT THE FANS ARE SAYING ABT THEM. DO YOU NOT THINK THAT AFFECTED EITHER OF THEM DO YOU THINK ELVIS WAS HAPPY WITH HIS APPEARANCE OR WHITNEY WAS HAPPY THAT HER VOICE WAS FAILING HER. NO ONE SAID THAT ELVIS LOOKED BAD IN 1977 AND LIKE I SAID I WOULD HAVE SEEN HIM IN ANY CONDITION AND WHITNEY ALSO BUT FOR YOU TO SAY HE LOOKED GREAT IN 1977 IS A SHAME BECAUSE IMO U WERE ONLY THERE TO SEE THE PERFORMANCE NOT WHAT WAS HAPPENING TO ELVIS……HE WAS DYING …..ON STAGE FOR HIS FANS SO PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME I AM WRONG HE LOOKED GREAT THAT JUST TELLS ME THAT U DIDNT LOOK AT HIM AS A SICK MAN THAT NEEDED HELP AND THAT IS NOT A REAL FAN. HIS REAL FANS WALKED AWAY FROM THAT CONCERT 1 being ( pat boone ) ALSO A SINGER AND FRIEND TO ELVIS SAID TO HIS WIFE AFTER THE JUNE 26th show that ELVIS IS REALLY SICK AND LOOKS LIKE A DYING MAN….. and as a friend offered him help and a place to stay in California and Elvis said he was going to Hawaii after that tour and was going to work on his health BUT HE NEVER GOT THE CHANCE BECAUSE HE WAS DEAD WEEKS LATER SO PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME THAT HE LOOKED GREAT IN 1977 BECAUSE I TRY NOT TO WATCH THOSE CONCERTS BECAUSE IT BREAKS MY HEART TO SEE THE PAIN AND HURT AND THE CONDITION HIS HEALTH WAS IN OBVIOUSLY YOUR ARE NOT A FAN THAT WAS INTERESTED IN HIM BEING SO SICK BUT STILL ON STAGE PERFORMING WEEKS BEFORE HIS DEATH FOR YOU.

Genio!.👏👏👏
I grew up in the Elvis era, what a handsome man he was and what a singer. My friend and I saw the film Jailhouse Rock in the late 50's when we were 15 years old, we had just started working after leaving school.
saw this at the drive in in Albuquerque in the late 1950s.
So handsome he makes me cry
GOD has send one angel and he make generation people happy , he will never die
Ich liebe seine Stimme und sein Lächeln ich liebe alles von Elvis ❤Elvis forever 🕺🏻🎸🎼✨💕
Elvis and his rhythm from his head all way down to his toes❤
Elvis es el mejor cantantes y seguirá siendo es muy cuapo amaremos siempre asta que llegues el día en que puedas levantar de nuevo porque eso dios promete esta en su libros ❤❤❤❤
Facts! God(Jah) promises, and timing, the dead will be raised up..
I like that film it brings out the beast in me.
Long time since i have seen jailhouse rock. But especially that diner scene was so well acted by Elvis i think

I grew up in the 1990s but I like the way this was presented.Makes me desire to watch films frommthis era.Elvis did good acting here.
What pure Classic, Singing from, The King.
I’m a hard core rock and roller for 60 years. But I always loved Elvis. I used to put him on when I wanted my buddies to leave. He was one special guy. God bless him. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️
Elvis the best
He looks good and sounds good, somebody should sign him up.
Elvis. Was. Brilliant. In. Jailhouse. Rock. He. Was. A. Great. Actor.
Great job elvis
Elvis Presley is the greatest
Yes..... 👑👑The KING 👑👑
Time stands still every time Elvis takes the stage or makes a picture etc E A P ❤
Sou apaixonada! Que doçura.. 😍
Obrigado eu me esforço!! 😁
Mr, Butler, no voice just mime,s. You will never sound like the king, even if you had A trasplanted voice box.
WOWWW, THESE, WORDS ARE SO BEAUTIFUL AND PRECIOUS. I LOVE IT, HE WAS TALKING ABOUT? WHY OF COURSE PRICELLA, THE ONLY WOMAN, THAT HE EVER LOVED.
What we never hear nowadays: "pretty sharp cufflinks"!
He has more in this one scene standing then Michael Jackson, Taylor Swift, at their best or anybody you could name. Pure Chrisma in every way!!
So great!
A piece of recording history. Everyone got one microphone, even the drummer for the whole kit. 8 tracks was all they had to a 1” tape machine…which later became 16, then 24. Amazing stuff. 😀
Back then it was probably 1 track.
AWESOME song
Para mi la mejor pelicula de Elvis!!
Rest in Peace Elvis This Is My Favorite Song
Man, there is just nothing else like this in the world. One of a kind. Probably the greatest American of all time.
I've been an Elvis fan for 52 years but even I wouldn't go that far.
Greater than Martin Luther King
George Washington
Abraham Lincoln.....?
Elvis would be very embarrassed to be thought of as a greater American than Martin Luther King in particular. Comparisons are not necessary, he was great, period.
@@sjsartanddesign Ah yes, he was also embarrassed to be called the King of Rock and Roll and yet here we are ;)
Harry Belafonte,Lena Horne and Perry Como posters on the wall!
They were co-stars! Lol!
Absolutely fantastic the GOAT
The best singer that was ever born rip beautiful angel love you always ❤️✌️
One of a kind.
I like the scene at 1:40 where Elvis and his original band The Blue Moon Boys are featured, Bill Black bassist, D.J. Fontana drums and Scotty Moore guitarist, and some other guy
Lmao “some other guy”
By the other guy, you mean the guy on Piano? That is the world renowned songwriter Mike Stoller of 'Jerry 'Leiber and Mike Stoller' fame. They wrote many songs for Elvis and many other big stars.
Love this song from Janice Clements of Memphis Tn. ❤
Awesome video. ...likeeeeee
Absolutely magnificent ELVIS PRESLEY way back then & still going 🎸
Elvis was the king. No question... It was nice to see Scotty, Bill and D.J....They were part of it too.
His face makes me laugh 😂 pokerface 😅
King
That guitar is as big as Scotty!
Gotta Love Elvis❤❤
