I don’t know who came up with the idea of “acrylic pour” technique but whoever did is a genius! Since then so many artists have created their own version of ocean waves and I’ve been searching through hundreds of videos for ‘the perfect wave’ for about a year now. Every time I see an appealing wave I save the video in My Playlists and will decide later which one I’ll attempt to make. I’m amazed at how many different ideas, techniques and ingredients they’ve come up with. Then, I came across YOUR video, Tam, and I knew immediately that this was THE ONE!!! “Beautiful, amazing and gorgeous” don’t even come close to describing it, it’s in a class all by itself! Okay, “breathtaking” might come close. The added texture and sparkle and paint choices you used is genius! Was that your idea? I only wish I could see it, up close and in person, it must be amazing! I confess, I’m a beginner painter and started only two years ago, just as a hobby on the weekends with my sister and daughter. Small, simple paintings in acrylic. Since I’ve become disabled and retired I have much more time on my hands to practice. I have never attempted an Acrylic Pour but I think it would probably be a good idea to practice with low budget items first, just to get the feel for it. It looks like yours is an 8” X 10”, do you know what the cost is for materials to make one this size? Actually, I’d like to make it in a larger size, maybe 16” X 20” if it’s within my budget. Tam, you have so much talent and are truly gifted! Thank you so much for sharing it by creating and posting videos for others - what a selfless act! I’m not sure if this is how you make your living but what a blessing it is to spend time and making money doing something you love, right? Best of health and prosperity to you in all your endeavors. Hello! Sometimes these messages get caught in my spam or held for review file in youtube and I feel so bad when someone spends this much time writing me a comment and I don't see it. i just saw this in one of those files and hope you see this! Thank you so so so much! What a thoughtful and beautiful comment. It is people like you that keep me on this path! Would you believe that I am a beginner too! If I can do it, so can you! This piece sold so quickly and I am amazed at the number of view and comments coming from it! I really am not sure of the cost of materials, because it depends so much on the brands of resin and pigments etc. I would take a look at my Amazon shop "Tams favorite tools and supplies" should be in the links below the video and that will take you to the supplies I used for this and what they cost etc. feel free to reach out if you have any questions! Again, thank you so very much for your kind kind comment, it really made my day!!! HUGS!
