    ATTENTION! The Breathe Buddy pink filters may not be adequate for resin, the respirator I use will be listed in my shop. Sorry for the confusion. They have not replaced the filter, it is a separate kind of filter. As always, please do your own research and judgement when working with resin. Happy creating everyone!

    You need to use a respirator that can use Organic Filters. Also... Full face, to cover your eyes. Vapors can be absorbed thru eyes much more than one's skin. (Professional Firefighter here). Also ask your vendor for the current MSD, Material Safety Data sheet for the epoxy/resin you are planning to use. Read it!

    My contribution to this is: Unicone Art makes a gel cleanser for hands. It’s a pump. Labeled as a ‘magical resin remover’ And It Is! I highly recommend it. It’s great. If you get resin on your hands at all, this is the best way to get it off. It is not harsh like alcohol. Really. Try it. (I have no stake in this whatsoever) but please try it and tell us what you think. Thanks again.

    Hi Tammy! Your video is so helpful to me. I need to restore a table that my mom uses as an island in the kitchen and as an artist myself I was just planning on using my art resin. I think I'll use the Epoxy Resin by MAS (on Amazon). I've never imagined covering a large surface before as I only would use only a small amount of resin for setting the eyes on my sculptures. Naturally, I didn't even think about bubbles forming so I added a torch to my amazon cart per your suggestion. And I'm glad I watched your full video because I was going to move this project to my room and I do have quite a bit of alcohol-based art products that I should probably keep out of reach. Even though I know alcohol is very flammable, sometimes we get carried away with our projects and simply forget. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. It was very nice to listen to you and you are so informative

    Sounds like a carbon airfilter would be handy to have as it would get rid of the VOC and significantly reduce dust and particles in the air.
    You can also McGiver one using a clean new vacuum that has a heppa filter for the dust and tape a respirator carbon filter to the intake for the gasses. But that would be very loud!

    This was sooo helpful and you are a wonderful presenter. Do you have a recommendation about what do do if you accidentally touch a cured resin project with sticky resin fingers

    • @TamsCreativeCorner
      @TamsCreativeCorner  4 года назад

      Thank you so much! Hopefully you didn’t get the resin on your actual fingers otherwise clean those first ;). If you notice right away I’d wipe the resin off of the piece with alcohol wipes if it’s too late for that you can sand it down and repour or just repour depending on your project 😉. Hope that helps?!

    Great video Tam! I agree with all of your top 10!
    One item I also always have in my studio when working with resin is a can of acetone! I soak tools and brushes in it after using them in any resin project.

    Thank you so much for making this video. It's super informative for those of us who are starting out. The only work space I have is my room unfortunately. Wondering if there's a way to work around the lack of space😭 (I'm from Singapore and live in a flat/apartment along with my family)

      HI Roshni! I'm so Glad it was helpful, but yes, I understand the frustration with a limited work space! Especially now that we are living in an RV and traveling my space is challenging! You can check us out over @til further notice
      Perhaps you can find a space to rent to work in or a friend with a spare area? I wish you the best of luck!

    It was really informative. This are really important to know before I start. Thank you so much for this video and for explaining everything so perfectly. Also I had a question - in what atmosphere I should do my job, like infront of window or in a room where's no Windows there and do I have to turn on the fan or off it instead? Hope you understood my question. It will be really appreciative and helpful if you can answer. Again Thank you so much for this great video

      Hi ! Thank you for watching! I like to work in a room with ventilation, window and I also have air purifier running too. A fan would be helpful to pull the air out, but if it’s blowing in the room it can lead to dust floating into your piece.
