VTEC just kicked in yo !
Definitely! XD
Eh..10 mph over ill let him slide
Your usual premium Honda experience. :)
Ricers have Honda Engine which they use VTEEEEC and LMAOOOO
I love these 'old' car reviews. I remember when this was the used car everyone and their brother wanted to own, and even if they weren't my thing back then, they're slowly coming around to me. There's something about cars from the early 00s and 90s that just can't be replicated in newer cars.
Affordable, lightweight, amazing NA revs, no gimmicks.
@@canto_v12 Don't forget visibility
I rather have this than the brand new Acura.
Same
Acura needs its own Type R again
Micheal Davis I know
They never owned Type R. It was just the American version of the Honda Integra. Honda always had Type R
PeRX what ? I thought acura for american market
UGH the sound of Honda's old 4-cylinders is just amazing.
Right? I like their old starters too. IMO, this car sounded the best from the back & under the hood
the Drivers side airbag was replaced at one point, that *ACURA* airbag is from a 94-97 Integra, the 98-01 Integras had just the Acura badge on them.
yes you're correct sir..
Wow kyle! My favorite childhood import.. sometimes its tiring when most people are uploading “supercars” all the time, when these are the real tools most of us come in contact with day to day. Very nostalgic and puts things into perspective. Thanks man!
Damn that's a clean integra!
I really like your style of videos now Saabkyle04. I cannot wait to see what new vehicles that you will be reviewing. Keep up the great work.
Its good to see an Integra that the "Pimp my Ride" guys didn't get to.(IE: its still mostly stock)
Fantastic video Kyle! So many interesting facts, but I never got bored! Keep it up man, you rock!
I had 4 Integras in my life, now i'm driving a manual G37S 4D and i still miss them very much.
I remember these. Never been in one myself, but I've seen them on the road. Nice job, Kyle.
Great review! I like the combination of POV and the tour
Nice Integra example, Kyle! I remember growing up seeing my neighbor work on his 1997 Integra...I used to ask him about the car all the time. I was six. Fond memories.
My all time favorite Honda/Acura, reviewed by the best car reviewer. Keep it up :)
Really enjoyed your review. I own a 01 model in Milano red and absolutely love it, it's just so much fun to drive. JDM models received Recaro bucket seats, Momo steering wheel and deleted the centre armrest.
This is my favorite Acura. Glad you made this vid, Kyle. Keep it up.
It's second for me. I love the original NSX.
God damn I miss these cars! My first car was a 6th Gen Honda Civic Coupe (96, an EX so I had the beloved VTEC!)
Thanks for uploading this man, brought a smile to my face, and brought back A LOT of memories watching you wind this thing out :)
Stuff like this is why your channel is awesome, keep 'em coming!
Dear Kyle that is a very nice car. It’s in great condition for a 2000 model year. I’m sorry I haven’t watched your videos for a while. I was having this problem on my phone where my RUclips app went missing and we weren’t sure why. We finally found out what the problem was and we fixed it. I was relieved to get it back because I really missed watching your videos. I promise I will make up for the videos I missed.
I want that car so badly
I love this cars, they're just so quirky and distinctive on the road today. Fun fact, after 95 Canada never got the Intergra Sedan, we got our own little model called the Acura EL, which like the Integra is based on the Honda Civic. It was Acura Canada's best selling model for years next to the TL Sedan and MDX.
Crazy to think this Integra is already 18 years old. It's going to be a classic soon!
I've always wanted one of these, but I'm looking at the RSX because this one is so rare.
OHH MY YOUTH HAS JUST ARRIVED !!!!
I had 2000 civic SI in electron metallic blue pearl which basically had the same motor. The integra was just bored out to 1.8L instead of the 1.6L in the SI. But god damn I miss that VTEC! Ive had tons of badass cars but by far that SI was the most fun and inexpensive.
you mean stroked
No way the b16 is the same ur drunk .
basically the same motor lol
Neato! Don't see too many Type-R Integras around!
Sure don't! I wish it was a little more stock, but still a pretty nice example overall :)
I honestly didn't notice that those aren't the stock wheels until he mentioned it.
They fit the car pretty good! I'm not sure the width, but they were 17s.
This is still one of my dream cars. I really hope to own one after my kids grow up a little.
Watch this video now keep up the great work man I hope you had a good weekend and all is going well with you Crystal your parents grandpa and the family have a good upcoming week
Thank you so much Marco, all is good on this end! You too!
I used to own one just like this and it was fun as hell to drive. Once the vtec kicked in it was like a shot of adrenaline
I’m so glad to hear everything’s going well with you and your family Kyle same here can’t complain everyone’s well have a good rest of the week talk later
Marco Gallo wtf
One of the very best Honda's to carry the Type R badge. These are sought after here in the UK and as a result good examples are pricey.
Needs OEM wheels
rex single cam I agree, but those volk wheels aren’t cheap at around 600 each
first thing I said when they showed the OEM....why would you waste money on uglier wheels from K-Mart?.
Just saw a Acura TL-R the other day, Kyle please do one of you have not yet!
loving the refresh to your reviews reminds me of the days you worked at your parents dealership haha thats when i subbed, Saabkyle04 2.0 great job! :)
Finally I’ve been waiting for this car
More cars like this please!
granny shiftin not double clutchin like you should....Great review. Friend had one back in the day in this same color. It was crazy to see one in the Pittsburgh area not common around here.
awesome video! I would love to add one of these Type Rs to my stable, it can sleep next to my FK8 Civic Type R
Hey Kyle if there’s any chance you can find and review a 2009 Pontiac G6 GXP that would be awesome! Keep doing what your doing buddy
Thanks bud!
i saw a mint one near my job. I love these old tuners
Just stumbled across this video. As mentioned those are USDM seats. The JDM ones are Recaros with large bolsters. This car has been for sale for a very long time. Years I believe. Likely the only ITR around with 17" Volk GTN wheels. What gauges does it have? Some questionable mods but at least they are period correct.
I have a championship white 2001 ITR ordered without A/C. Cus racecar! It is so rewarding to drive that I plan to keep it forever.
Back when Honda used great engines like the K20. Enthusiasts don't like Honda anymore.
MrCarGuy20 this has a b series dude and there are tons of enthusiasts swapping k’s into integra’s and little civic hatches
Type r?
Also, its relevant to mention the new Civic type R uses a turbo K series engine
This has a B18 in it and the brand new type r still uses the k20
Nice vid 👍🏻👍🏻
I remember when I met you at Cosmo Motors in Hickory, NC about 3 years ago. Is this that car? I noticed you were driving around what looks to be the Hickory airport? I used to enjoy those back roads around there quite often as I lived just a couple miles from there. You were looking at Integra Type R I think. Keep up the good work Kyle. I've been watching your videos since I was a kid.
Thanks a lot! Yep, you're correct. Thanks so much for the support!
No problem. We should link up sometime. Don't mind tinkering or going for a casual drive. Not sure what area you're staying in in the state now a days but it'd be fun to meet up again with one of my favorite youtubers. I also regularly head to the Tail of the Dragon, maybe you can come along sometime and it may or may not make for some interesting footage for your channel.
Very Clean!
Watching all these videos & seeing Saabkyle04 for the first time is like the first time I heard the Pink panther, Tom & Jerry & Wil E.Coyote talk after watching millions of episodes!
Yes. You should do a Integra GSR next
cool review
seems like a good car
Nice review, Kyle! You are doing a great job coming up with these Japanese cars. Please do some more!
By the way, I've a suggestion! Since some JDM cars are now legal to import to the US, why don't you make a comparison video of the JDM and USDM versions of the same car? For example, the FC and FD RX7s. It will be awesome!
That would be cool! Might be hard to put together, but I'll keep it in mind. Thanks bud!
I'm sure it is gonna be tough. But I got a hunch that you might be able to pull this one out in a surprising way. I will just sit back and wait for the amazing video! Ah, maybe you should contact the guys at Japanese Classics (www.japaneseclassics.com) I only hear great things about them. Have a great day Kyle!
Incredible how much character a tiny 1800cc engine can show you if you make it push itself beyond standard limits, leaving the limit to be your ambition.
This video felt a little rushed . Before anyone bashes this is just constructive criticism . I’m glad to see and effort made towards what you spoken about in that video about trying to tend to the viewers wants . Overall a great video . Just would like to see shots held longer etc .
THANK YOU ILY FOR THIS!!!!
Thank you for watching!!
This Acura is the clearest example of the classic Vtec power.
I still have my 2001 gsr great car!
junior5516 they were big with Asians in San Gabriel Valley CA ...I remember they use to steal them and put the engines in Hondas ...
one of my favorites next to Datsun Bluebird 510....
Thats a very well taken care Integra
Nice car I’m. Loving it
Best handling fwd car ever
Best handling sub-$35,000 (w/o inflation) car. There are some impressive FWD vehicles out there. Even Honda's own Civic Type-R is a fierce competitor for that award. Not to mention JCW Minis, Abarth Fiats, etc. Plus higher-end vehicles too!
When are you going to Review the new Lincoln Continental and The Navigator?
Rare to see a stock one and clean for his years
I’ve always liked these Acura’s a lot, I prefer the slightly newer RSX/Integra
Newer Rsx: better interior, stronger engine, looks (maybe). Older: 200 lbs lighter, better suspension
also a whole new motor the k series which is king
Those arent JDM seats. JDM dc2 TypeR had factory Recaro Speed seats. This is a clean car, although the previous owner killed the value with aftermarket coilovers, wheels, and other mods. This car in its prime was featured in Super Street or Honda Tuning Magazine... cant remember which it was. But I would have returned it to stock before letting it go, it would have brought more money. When I saw it on Cosmo website they were asking 22k i believe..... so maybe they got it.
DIAMLER are these legal in the us?
Britton Brumitt agreed, value impacted by crappy aftermarket parts. Also seats aren't JDM at all, we get recaros in Asia not sure why USA always get crappy stuff.
What do u think about honda odyssey rb3 or renault koleos, which one is better?thx
Ole school always the best . Less of gadgetry . Awesomeness times 100
You to review the srt4 they have it’s one of if not the cleanest srt4 on earth
COOL 2000 Acura Integra Type R: Start Up, Test Drive & In Depth Review
I love these
honda had great cars with beautiful designs in the 90s
OH YES VTEC YAY! KYLE U LOVE THIS OR WHAT? I LOVE VTEC ITS SOOOOOOOOOOOOO COOL xD and ur vids are awesome Vtec= Happiness xD
It was a lot of fun!!! XD Thanks for watching pal!
Aww thx :D
my fav
I want to get one of the Acura Integras gs-r and stick a turbo in it and blowoff valve. Then put a new louder exhaust then I would keep the interior and stuff like that. I want to keep the stock look just making it have better times.
94-97 steering wheel/airbag in an 00 R.. and the rear lower control arms from a regular USDM integra.
you get a like from me regardless of video quality for this one
Need for Speed Underground nostalgia
Hi! kyle, i have a request for a in depth review, ¿can yo you do de GMC SIERRA TERRAIN OR DENALI 2018 OR 2019, please.
Thats looks like a Jasma Twinloop Exhaust, also a particularly rare part to find.
Great stuff... I've always liked this car...lol No vanity mirrors?
Da Pro Honda redesigned/removed a lot of features on this car to make it lighter. No sunroof option either.
They also welded the seams instead of spot welds and seam sealer like the other models.. and the integra you have there doesn’t have the stock suspension.. it has base model fork rear struts which is base.. type r came with a pillow mount not fork style..
You should do the newest NSX.
Hey Kyle do you want to to a review of a 2005 Dodge Dakota?
Those seats have seen better days lol
Do a tour on the $100k 2018 lincoln Navigator L Black label
Can you please review the Ae86? I would love it :)
ALSO VTEC 4 LAYF
I've also been watching you since 2012 and I love the dedication you give to all the videos
JLui02 If he comes to Canada he can use mine lol, I think he likes mostly stock versions though.
Looking at this example the rear lower control arms are wrong and the steering wheel looks to be from the 94-97
Are you going to review a 2017/2018 super duty powerstroke? I have been asking for over a year and got no response.
Donavan Glasser the only time he reviews new cars is when he gets press cars. So Ford needs to give him one before he can review it.
It came with the rear shock mount brace from the factory.
Timothy Baxter the rear strut bar on this type R is aftermarket. The USDM type R did not have that option. The JDM type R did have a factory option for a rear strut bar. Also, all integra type R came with a trunk brace which this car doesn't have for some reason.
Does the car ever meet winter/snow?
Review a acura rsx
why tho
From tomorrow weekend is starting upload 240sx rear end build please reply me
when you going to do the new nsx
the type r sign is a sticker?^^
VTEC sound is stimulate me!
I'm b18c swapping my ls!
In top 3 of the best cars ever made.
What's with the rear wiper?
@Saabkyle04 Fantastic review and test drive...
That Integra is so cool and in good condition! One of the best FWD cars ever!
Good job!
Thank you!!!
@Saabkyle04 No problem, buddy!
I highly appreciate your gratitude.
@Kyle Saabkyle04 I just finished watching Cleetus McFarland's latest video if his Dale Truck. I told him that he needs to get ahold of you for you to give your style of an in-depth tour/review of it. It would be great for both of your channels and has the potential to be the most viewed videos on your channel. Don't snooze on this one, let's get er done brother, I hope to see it very soon on your channel. Later Gater, Stan from Fort Wayne, Indiana
So was the Acura RSX the Integras replacement? I prefer the RSX styling.
Brad Meyer yes it was. But in Japan it was still called a Honda Integra.
Really. IMO this looks 100x better then the RSX
@@PeRRXX yesh i agree.. rsx is just not as timeless as DC2..
I am fine when you will make 240sx videos or videos with chrisfix that video will be superb☺
I'm waiting on one more tool to come Wednesday so I should, fingers crossed, be able to have the next 240SX video go Live this weekend!
Kyle, why are you doing these shorter reviews of these awesome cars. Bring back the format that you had a few years ago. The video you did on your Buick Rivera was awesome. Adapt your vidoes to that format
