As a 73 year old Vietnam vetran with bad shoulder this bow looks like it would be a perfect bow for me. I still love to hunt and really dont want all the weight of a crossbow. Thank you Matthews for coming up with this great bow!

I’ve had shoulder surgery a couple times because of riding bulls when I was younger so I may look to get this bow. I’m constantly having shoulder pain and have arthritis really bad so it’s tough for me to draw my V3X at 60 lbs. it really sucks because I love shooting and Bowhunting so this is great. Everyone talks about youth but what about us guys that have had shoulder surgery and constant pain. This is awesome for real.
It’s definitely not just a youth bow. I was a 75# draw for years prior to rotator cuff surgery. In this and other archery videos the inability to draw 70lbs seems more of a disability and laughable which is why they use the word youth or female. Archery is better than this imo.
@@housemj ya i hate having shoulder problems. I’ve worked out all my life but quit about 5 years ago because I work maintenance which requires a lot of hours. When I was always working out I could still shoot 70 lbs. now it’s just getting worse lol. For the last few years I’ve only been hunting white tails so I don’t have many shots over 40 yards. With that you don’t have to shoot a 70 lb bow. In the next few years I want to get back to hunting larger game so im definitely going to have to start working out again

As an older archer with an injured shoulder I love the ideas behind this bow. My current bow is a 60 # LB bow set at 53 and is 12 years old. Nothing has come out that has interested me before this. Don’t want a ladies or kids bow. Definitely don’t want a crossbow. Would look into one of these maxed out with my current arrow set up. Perfect for my Eastern whitetail hunts.

My son would love to have a Mathews. He has outgrown his old youth bow he bought himself years ago and this is that one thing dad and son do together. I recently got injured in the line of duty so it is not in the cards to get him a nice bow this year. Thanks to Mathews for great bows and Podium Archer for great reviews.
My two boys "Wallace & Wyatt" (on youtube) eat live and breathe archery and hunting. Wallace brought home a State Champion ASA 3D buckle last summer with his Mathews Vertix. Wyatt had poison Ivy and couldn't even see to shoot for over a week before the state shoot but he still brought home 3rd. Wallace brought in a 1028 at the Moberly R100 and Wyatt an 879....from the men's red stakes!!! We consume a steady diet of your reviews along with Elk Shape, Chris Bee, Joel Turner, and all we can to learn more and more to strive for the next level. With two kids(one LH and one RH), it can be very tough to keep up financially. This Image would be a major upgrade for Wyatt to hit the Iowa Deer classic with and the ASA's with next summer. Thanks for all of the hard work you put in on your reviews. Very enjoyable to watch.
Being a senior archer this is very appealing. My shoulders are fine but a tear in my elbow keeps me in or slightly above 50. I might head down to my dealer and see if he is going to get any. Good job as always Podium👍💪Thanks
Looks like a great bow for youth hunter. My son just turned 13 and 5’8” tall so he is tall for his age. He is almost outgrown his Bear compound bow. My son has just about worn out his old school infinite draw weight/length bow. This year has he’s struggled trying to shrink his group and the dad in me keeps telling him, “don’t blame it on your equipment” knowing it’s not all him. Can’t wait to surprise him with something like this, something to boost his confidence, get him to the next level and keep him outdoors. Keep up the invaluable content!

This is a really nice development. My oldest son is REALLY big for his age, and he is starting to get interested in archery, to shoot with me and also in 4-H. Having a normal sized bow with lighter weights and access to normal sight/rest, big deal for kids! Appreciate what you do.
Fast light weight bow. The fact that even at 50 Lbs you still get almost 300 ft/s out of it is insane! HOping to buy a Matthews this year for myself. Also, nice looking shop/garage!

You should try out more than one brand even if your set on a Mathews. They are all really good right now but its the little things that end up making you chose one over the other.

I introduced my 15 yr old daughter to archery a few years ago and she fell in love with it! She is my archery buddy now and shoots with me every day. Currently She has a mission menace but it’s time to get her a better performing bow. This may be the best fit for her. Love your content and reviews!
Seventy-two years young and better than ever, so I need a 50lb. bow to protect the shoulders, each with a torn rotator cuff. Been after Mathews to lower the poundage on a flagship bow with switch weight. Will have to add this bow to my bow shelf. Thanks for the review.
After coming from a Bear Whitetail to a Mission by Matthews. The new technology is awesome. After Watching your videos and you on the Elkshape videos have helped me tremendously! My 12 year old daughter is shooting too as well golf, horse back. This sounds like a great bow for her! My personal dream boat is a v3x, one issue is that I'm only 13yo and can't shoot 100 arrows at 60+ lbs, I have my current bow set at 45 lbs which is perfect for me at the moment. I've looked at this bow before but it's a bit too expensive for me, A couple years down the line I do see myself eventually buying this bow. Haven't really heard many bad things about it. Awesome bow

Yep. I’m one of those guys that realized at 54 my shoulders are not what they were. Glad to see Mathew’s is looking out for older archers who still want to keep slinging arrows. After 5 years of staring at my bow case and not shooting from rotator cuff issues, I decided to get into the gym and bust my hump to get back into the sport I love. A Mathews built for a guy like me? I agree with you! All in all Mathew’s never fails to produce quality bows! A youth would love that bow as well as maybe some older guys but anyone would have a good time with it.
Always dreamed of owning a Mathews. Sold my gear when I got married and had kids. Now my kids are old enough to introduce them to the sport. We have been using rental bows at our local shop.This bow would be the perfect bow for me to get back into it. No way I could pull a normal bow and am getting older every day. Perfect upgrade for my son from his current bow the Bear Limitless. All he’s been talking about is he wants a Mathew’s for Christmas.
My personal dream boat is a v3x, one issue is that I'm only 13yo and can't shoot 100 arrows at 60+ lbs, I have my current bow set at 45 lbs which is perfect for me at the moment. I've looked at this bow before but it's a bit too expensive for me, A couple years down the line I do see myself eventually buying this bow. Haven't really heard many bad things about it. Awesome bow
Sweet bow. I agree that bow in the hand of my 12 year old daughter. She would be dominating 4-H archery next year. When you have kids that love to shoot it is great when a company finally thinks about the future of the sport. Great video. Just how I like them straight forward and to the point

A 50lb bow by modern standards is no slouch. And someone who is short in stature but wants to shoot 3D with a solid performer. It’s right up their alley👍
Just grabbed this bow the other day. I was wanting a big name and great quality. Though i can pull more than 50lbs, I like to make myself stick to that lower 50lb weight due to shoulder issues. Thanks for the review! I'd like to enter the giveaway so my husband can get one of these too :)

Yep. I’m one of those guys that realized at 54 my shoulders are not what they were. Glad to see Mathew’s is looking out for older archers who still want to keep slinging arrows. After 5 years of staring at my bow case and not shooting from rotator cuff issues, I decided to get into the gym and bust my hump to get back into the sport I love. A Mathews built for a guy like me? I agree with you! All in all Mathew’s never fails to produce quality bows! A youth would love that bow as well as maybe some older guys but anyone would have a good time with it.

Always dreamed of owning a Mathews. Sold my gear when I got married and had kids. Now my kids are old enough to introduce them to the sport. We have been using rental bows at our local shop.This bow would be the perfect bow for me to get back into it. No way I could pull a normal bow and am getting older every day. Thank you for doing what you do. Who ever wins this will cherish it.
Now this is a great option. I love this idea. Getting younger people into this sport, and KEEPING them in it is INVALUABLE. This is awesome!

Love the option of having the lower poundage in a great set-up. Be great for my son, or my wife. We love the outdoors, shooting asa and hunting. Planning on taking my wife and kids to take their first deer. Thanks MFJJ for the info and Mathew’s archery inc for amazing products.

Great video. My son is just about at that age where he needs a legit bow that he can continue to grow into. This looks like it is a pretty good option.
