    There are multiple 192 channel DMX controllers in the market that work either exactly the same or very similar to the Eurolite one we used, so these are the models that should work the same way:
    - Eurolite DMX Operator 192
    - American DJ DMX Operator I
    - Botex DC-1216
    - Showtec SM-8/2
    - Chauvet DJ Obey 40
    - Lightmaxx FORGE 192 DMX-192
    - HQ Power VDPC145
    - UKing DMX Controller DMX512
    - ADM DMX-192
    - Lumin Lights 192 DMX Controller
    - Skytec 192 channel DMX controller
    - Gear4music Universe-192
    - Lixada DMX Show Designer DMX-192

      If you really want to be flexible with lasers and what you can do, have a look at the Laserworld DS-1000RGB MK2 and higher and get Showcontroller software for it (works without that, too, as comes with free Showeditor full license). It allows for professional DMX and Art-Net control too and has many built-in features. That one gives you bes flexibility and great performance.

    Hello! Could I use the EL-230RGB MKII with ADJ RGBW4C IR controller?

    • @LaserworldAG
      @LaserworldAG  Год назад

      The controller you mentioned was only designed for controlling LED PARs with 4 channels (as far as what the product description says?). So the general functionality is extremely limited.
      The Laserworld EL-230RGB MK2 has quite some more features than a basic LED PAR, so a slightly better controller is required.

    I have a laserworld 230 and want to add another and use DMX to control them. Can a controller also allow you to jump to the laser’s built in sound detection mode if you want to let the lasers just run on their own for a bit (without having to flip the tiny switches on the back of the laser)

    • @LaserworldAG
      @LaserworldAG  2 года назад

      Yes, you can ... this is on channel 1, so you can either activate sound-to-loght mode or auto mode via DMX. Check the DMX chart in the manual for the exact values - or just try different positions on channel 1 :-)

    Hey is it possible to use a software like DMX Controll 3 on the Laserworld EL 230rgb mk 2 to just controll it like with the controller?

    • @LaserworldAG
      @LaserworldAG  Год назад +1

      yes, for sure: any DMX controller should work, as long as it provides standard DMNX signal. Many options are out there - huge consoles as well as computer software or smaller fader boards - there is a multitude of options.

    is there any program for working on dmx lasers but to have the option to draw with the laser and be it free?

    • @LaserworldAG
      @LaserworldAG  2 года назад +1

      DMX is a very basic trigger protocol that can only "call" the contents inside the mainboard of the laser. Controlling the look of the "gobos" requires specific software. But some lasers allow for customization of the contents of the mainboard.
      If your laser is computer controllable in general, you can remote control the software via DMX or ArtNET, sl you have a hybrid aolution with which you can do both - triggering and direct control

    hi can u tell me how to setup with dmx laser and moving head lights together tnx

    • @LaserworldAG
      @LaserworldAG  7 месяцев назад

      Make sure that lasers and moving light have different start addresses - if the laser has 10 channels, as example, make sure that the moving head start address is at least 11 or higher, so the different devices don't conflict. If you have such a 192 controller, I recommend having starting addresses in batches by 16, so first laser is 1, second laser is 16, because it eases the selection of each device through the scanner select buttons on the left side.
      The way of controlling the lasers and the light are independent of each other, so with setting different start addresses, they can be controlled individually. If you need to set start addresses with DIP switches, this could come handy: www.laserworld.com/en/laserworld-toolbox/dmx-address-setting.html

    How can you set safe zones using dmx

    • @LaserworldAG
      @LaserworldAG  2 года назад

      This depends on the laser system - and the level of safety you must maintain at the location. DMX as such is not considered a protocol that you can safely rely on - there may be glitches or interferences and such, that can lead to signal irritations. So it's not cosidered to be safe to rely on. But lasers with ShowNET mainboard have a safe option.
      HOWEVER:
      - with pretty much all lasers you can limit the projection zone via DMX, so the laser only goes to a certain area
      - if you have a laser with a ShowNET laser mainboard, you can use DMX for setting safety zones and projection zones and WRITE THESE SETTINGS BACK TO THE LASER MAINBOARD, so they get stored there and are safe from any DMX glitches and such, so this is a safe method then. All current Laserworld DS, Laserworld PL, tarm and RTI laser systems have that mainboard as standard (find out more here: ruclips.net/video/qyWwTq-KGK8/видео.html and here: ruclips.net/video/sqGT4BBBcLc/видео.html)
      So the answer is YES you can, but it depends :-)
      How you can set a projection area with a basic laser system is:
      - select a pattern for projection that covers the full projection angle. Usually it's some sort of square that goes full size. Or just select the widest pattern you have
      - check the DMX chart which channels deals with x and y size
      - reduce the size on x and or y
      - check which channels do the offset or positioning (may be named similarly)
      - use these channels to shift the resized projection to the desired area
      If your DMX controller allows for storing this as a global preset, this would be the option to go then. Otherwise you need to consider it for all the programming steps.

    what happens if the laser I got uses more than 16 channels? does the channels continue on the scanner 2?

    • @LaserworldAG
      @LaserworldAG  10 месяцев назад

      yes, in fact, this controller is a bit special as it clusters the devices with 16 channels each. However, the numbers of the channel continue consecutively. If you have a device with more channels, you may probably want to look into a different, slightly more professional controller that gives you more functionality and opportunities. But in theory it works.

    Whats happen with channel 9 to 16 or more… or that Lasser have 8 channels?

    • @LaserworldAG
      @LaserworldAG  2 года назад

      on the right side next to the fades there is a button with Page A and Page B - there you can switch pages, so you can use the other channels. The basic laser products usually have all the important features on the first channels, so they can even be controlled with small controllers. But there are some extra features on higher channels, so if you want to use them you can switch the Page. However, this usually only makes sense if you pre-program some effects, as during live operation the switching of banks is super annoying and makes control rather tricky. If you need that more often, it's best to get a slightly bigger controller with 16 or 24 faders.

    can it happen that the dmx controller can shoot through the laser?

    • @LaserworldAG
      @LaserworldAG  Год назад

      Well, depending on what you mean - if you accelerate it enough, if may shoot right through the laser if you hit it directly. ;-)
      But let's assume you mean if the DMX controlling can damage the laser. It depends on the laser system you have. If you use a basic laser system with step motors, like the one shown in the video, it is unlikely that damage to scanners or sources comes from the control. However, if you use a more sophisticated laser with scanners (galvos) and more professional mainboard, there may be control options available that definitely can damage the laser, specifically the scanners, if operated the wrong way. Especially if the scan speed is selected too high and especially if the laser is operated at this high scan speed for several minutes, this can cause damage. Also a combination of wide scan angles with too fast scanning are to be avoided.
      These control options usually are only available with more professional mainboards and you need to specifically operate the laser wrong.

    Why did you mention address number on the laser? It wasnt like you need to set same address with dmx controller?

    • @LaserworldAG
      @LaserworldAG  Год назад

      The DMX controller can control multiple devices which can have different Addresses. The controller only sends trigger signals out, so there is no connection back from the device. So it's important to know the address of ech device so the trigger signals of the controller do the right thing.
