I just got the SHEHDS Waterproof Laser 3W RGB Scanning Pattern Animation Laser Light and I'm very impressed so far.
I'll be setting it up at my campsite this year at Shangri-La music festival.
Great choice.. the 3wt lasers are amazing and water resistant. I'd love to see how it looks in that environment.
Facing a 3 watt laser there at the end isn't particularly clever.
Can't help but wonder how you handle these devices at a gig.
I never allow beams to reach the public and avoid reflective and flammable surfaces. From 3 watt and up a lot of care is required.
Agreed... this was for demonstration purposes only... I use 1wt animated lasers and face them either behind me or on side walls above my guests only as a secondary visual element and not as crowd scanning dance lighting.

I am a photographer and I'm looking for a system that produces beams and different colors but need the option to stop them from moving. What would you recommend?
Honestly, check out my 9 eyed laser video... They are red, green and blue and they have the control options to use all or one color and you can stop the motors on them so they won't move. I'll look in to my animated lasers and see if they can be manipulated that way, but for what you're asking for, those may be the best option and they're super affordable.

Do you recommend to point it to the floor or the walls?
I like to point them at the walls, above/over the crowd so as to not be in anyone's eyes, but also because if you point them at the floor... no one really gets to see the animations or patterns...
How would you compare these to Scorpion Dual RBG ILS arial laser?
I don't have one to compare them to, but in looking into it, it seems the scorpion is a 1wt dual beam laser with ILS capability, if you're using that platform... that's awesome! However, none of these lasers are a duel beam, but Shehd’s does have a few to choose from and I'd say at Chauvet's price point you could really up your game to a 3wt, 6wt or even a 12wt for about the same price/unit! It really just depends on what you're looking for out of your laser... Some of these lasers are just show stealers and they're worth checking out if you're in the market for lasers... @@DJMikeJames so here is what I am using a laser for. I am a pyro fireworks guy. I do two neighborhood shows a year in my friends property which is in the middle of Allegheny National Forest,.Pa. I want to introduce Aerial Lasers to do before my show and during. The fireworks are all set off electronically and programmed for a pyro-musical and I would be using DMX controller for the laser programed for the music. So that is why I think the Scorpion would be better. Although, I have been looking at the waterproof Sheds model or another one from their line. This is all new to me and I am teaching myself DMX. I appreciate the great videos good job.

The duel aerial laser is definitely cool, but at 1wt it's really entry level from a power standpoint... when you get into say the Shehd’s 6wt your display coverage is quadrupled and if you're performing in a National Park (which is awesome btw) and this is coming from someone who does a lot of outdoor events... it's output is undeniable!!! In this video, that'd be the one on the floor, which is a moving head but is also sold as a regular fixture and is around the same price especially during the upcoming Black Frdiay Shenanigans and when you get into this level of laser there's software and access ports where you can design all aspects of your laser show (color, shape, size, animations, etc...) to match up with your fireworks display as well as your music! So if your planning on shooting fireworks off and then presenting a laser show, say in the smoke in the sky, this is the fixture I'd recommend and you could step up to the 12wt version which you may be able to shine off the moon... 😆 jk 😜 I just feel like a 1wt will get it done maybe, but how will that diminish at further protection distances???
Keep in mind the Scorpion doesn’t need a variance the way these lasers would for a public performance.
In that regard I prefer my scorpion over all of my extremely bright sheds/U’king/etc. lasers.

Why would you compare those 2 $50 dollar rgb maybe 500mw lasers on the ends? I know them ive owned one they have weak lasers that add up to maybe 500mw with all 3 seperate lasers put together it is way over priced and the lasers just have a lense that spins in front of them refracting the laser not using mirrors to create images
Ya... and that was kind of the point... The least expensive laser being the 9 eyed laser at 500 mws is still $80 retail... The next laser the Ehaho laser is probably 1wt (which is the product I was actually reviewing) is retailing for $125 and is similar to the next fixture, which are the Shehd’s 1wt animated lasers (which are the lasers I own and use) retail at about $140 and then the jump to the 3wt and then the 6wt, which ironically both retail around $300... So the point was to show pound for pound dollar for dollar what to expect when considering adding lasers to your arsenal... thanks for watching and commenting
