I'm looking at those lights, and not looking at using shows, just static colors and just a slight stage wash from a low ceiling for a small band in the corner of a room. I'm eventually going to get a DMX controller. Can you adjust the brightness from the menu? I don't need full brightness, like half is what I'm wanting...

Anyone tried controller this with a dmx controller? I bought one to play with and I just want to be able to set the patterns and it not be random. Any simple way to do that? I tried a USB/DMX controller with software and couldn't get the laser to pick up the signal. not sure if i'm using it wrong or the dmx controller is busted. Anyways thanks for making the video and please please be careful with your eyes. 1W even bounced with galvos is still dangerous. Get some laser glasses or just don't stand in them. And please for the love of God don't point these into a crowd!

So I bought one of these. It is an incredible value for the money. An amarzing laser. HOWEVER, the company is terrible to deal with. Shehds support is totally useless. They would not explain how to switch it from Hanzi to English, so I could actually read the menus and use it for a Christmas event. I spent hours figuring it out on my own - the user manual doesn't explain it, and is pretty thin. ...And then, rather than help me get it going, they instead have focused on persistent defensive arguing about the fact they delivered a non-rechargeable unit, when I had ordered a "rechargeable" battery powered one. Simply astonishing treatment of a new customer. So no tech support, and going way out of their way to beat on me over the mess-up of my order, as if I'd made the mistake, when they could have been doing something to resolve it, or at least explain what happened, or god-forbid, show some culpability or provide an apology. Bottom line with Shehds, you may get something really good, and maybe it will even be what you ordered, but you're definitely on your own after it hits your door. I advise anyone dealing with this company to make sure to pay with a credit card, so you have some leverage to resolve their problems.

Mike, your videos are super informative but you need tell your camera operator to stop fiddling with the camera pan/zoom once you start rolling.

its trash, no parts for repairs, if the led of the par breaks, the whole thing is junk. mic for auto isn't sensitive enough. needs to be around 100+ decibels in order for it to work. cool concept but waste of money for me.

So basically, they are all on the same DMX channel with reverse tilt on 2 of the fixtures correct? Just curious what dmx controller are you using?

for my understanding, it is a 20 watt laser, but what they mean by that, is the whole unit. and not specific the beam. Otherwise i think your wall would have had marks at this time :-)

I purchased the Sheds 1000mW laser RGB, I notice they add up all 3 colors my question is regarding safety. I know the chances of the beams hitting the floor are low. If someone happened to come across the laser beam, will it be cause of concern. I am thinking if the RGB combines to emit white light then it would be at the max 1000mW.

We're trying to optimize our offerings by reducing the price of all laser lights to under $200, rather than thousands of dollars, so that more people can enjoy the fun that lasers bring. However, there is a significant monopoly on file formats in the laser industry, so we need to invest a lot of money and time into this, and we haven't made much progress so far. Additionally, there’s a feature in the video that should be understood this way: the name of the new folder only needs to match the name of the PRG file, for example, the "punisher outline 1" folder should only match the name of "punisher outline 1.PRG."Instead of naming all ild files the same as the "PRG" file, you just write the ild name to the "prg" file.
