The zombies (and elementals as well) are the ultimate stealth weapon in the game. When npcs see them, they have to follow them because they "don't belong here". Besides that, I want to figure out how to do a shillelah bonk multiclass build. Like spore druid is quite tanks already, has the extra 1d4 which is alright and you should have some nice damage variance. Idk if it is druid barb or war cleric druid (for the heavy armor). Not like all of this matters, if your pc can handle it, you can just have 4 zombies, 3 skeletons, 2 elementals, a dryad, her lover, a crow and your dog around to beat everyone up for you. Your cleric can then give them a lot of bonus hp for good measure. Maybe your wizard can add to that as well. (My pc was in shambles by the end of act 2)
Your content is so good that I saw Baulder's Gate 3 was out, have not purchased or played it, saw a topic on Reddit with shit about Fextralife, didn't think, "Oh, fuck this guy" but instead "Oh yeah, Quack was Fextralife with a sense of humor" and came here to see if your channel was active again. Seeing that it is literally made my day. I'll definitely be back once I start using BG3 to disassociate from real life in times of crisis. Thanks homie!
I mean the bear is really good as a general shift but the spider and wolf are also really good when used correctly. It's a shame you cant use beast spells in the game cause it only goes to 12. But it would be kind of broken. I also wish they added a hidden feature in the game that allowed you to find new animals to shift into. Would be a cool thing to add in the future. Moon druid is my main save right now and he's literally and figuratively a fucking beast. Owl bear dunking with crushing flight, shredding people with sabertooth. Summoning elementals and shit. It's awesome. But the biggest problem is that my act 3 romance with shadowheart is bugged and I'm putting down the save until it's fixed. There's no way I worked that hard to get this bitch to love me and I'm not able to see those titties in the glorious moonlight. Fuck off with that shit. I'm gonna make an oathbreaker dark urge.
Hello just qick note: 1. Rage is sorta working you just need to use it like concentration spell Action: Rage Bonus action: Wild shape ad here you go 2. unarmored defense work in Wild form, but you need to remove your armor befor shapeshifting its not much (bear from 12 to 15) dunno if monk one is functional you could benefit rom your wisdom which stay even in wildform unlike Con
The main thing that spore Druid does is not casting zombies as you might think but bunking enemies with a club/stick because shillelagh. Thus dexterity/strength are not mandatory. Solid bonks, I must admit. While moon druid gameplay is repetitive, his AC doesn’t scale well, you on the other hand can scale pretty well with your armour, shield (which makes you spore hp more efficient), rings and stuff, reapply your temporary hp if needed, cast spells occasionally… halo of spores is nice reaction to which doesn’t actually deals double damage but damages twice and can interrupt someone’s concentration or kill low hp enemy. Shame that spore druid and mushroom colony don’t interact in some curious ways tho.

I love seeing new bg3 players discovering powerful options 5e players have been using for years lol. Spike growth absolutely dumpsters over this game and def deserves a spot in this video Enemies that can’t fly/jump over all of it in a single action (almost everything in the game) will either refuse to enter it at all or just submit to walking through all of it. Obviously, if the enemy is just going to sit still for 99 turns then just shoot at it from a range. For the enemies that walk through, well they’ll die before they reach you. Maybe walk back a few steps to avoid ranged options. Obviously this falls off against some of the large health boss fights, but it still has large value even in act 3 to wipe groups of enemies for 0 effort. I haven’t played a Druid at tabletop yet so I’m not entirely familiar with the rules, but I’m certain some of the “bugs” you mentioned are how it works. Like you don’t get the armor bonuses because your cave bear can’t exactly wear the armor. Can’t talk because of bear and whatnot.
spore druid doesnt work until you get the spore druid armor from mystic carrion in act 3 + his necromancy staff. With the armor you get +2 more spore aoe. So you can have 4 aoe effects out at once.
I'm playing a Moon Druid, so I only gave myself 10 Strength expecting to rely on the Club of 15 Strength for carrying capacity and jumping. But when you wildshape it stops working, so when I come out I'm always encumbered and have to unequip and re-equip it. Every. Time. And if I'm TOO encumbered I can't even swap gear, so I have to rearrange my whole inventory just to take the club off and put it back on so I can move again.
Seriously?? Rage doesn't work in druid form?? That's an entire multiclass strategy in regular DnD! Barbarian druids are insane! Rage and then turn into a bear! It can't go wrong!
You can rage first and then go bear, but if you're a Moon druid then they're both bonus actions and you can't do both in one turn. You have to rage one turn and wait until the next to wildshape.

thats because any remaining damage get taken from your normal hp bar. Even if your wildshape dies the damage keeps going its not a free shield
