I bought my K-1 Mark two this year I gave my k70 to grand daughter for her to use and learn to shoot with it gave her the manual and everything, but me I fell in love with the K-1 Mark two it’s a beautiful camera and I couldn’t trade it for anything else. I still have my K s2 at home. I am 83 year old man, but I have Been in photography from a young age I took slides and film up until somewhere in the 90s when I got my first digital camera. And then in 2000 I started looking at cameras again and not until 2014 that I look at a camera I got it from Costco and it was a Pinte KS2 and I liked it, and then I have had nothing but Pinte cameras and lenses.
Hallo, That's so great to hear that you're loving your Pentax K-1 Mark II! It's a fantastic camera, and I can definitely see why you would be impressed with it. The image quality is superb, the build quality is top-notch, and the weather sealing is perfect for outdoor photography. I'm also impressed that you've been in photography for so long! It's clear that you have a passion for the craft, I hope you continue to enjoy photography for many years to come. Thanks again for sharing your story with me.
Kp Was a step up from k-70 and is often called the mini K-1, since it has some of the same feature, like pixel shift, all in the list are great cameras, would love to have a medium format some day.

I started with the old film cameras in the 70's. I still have my K1000 that I learned with as well as my ME. I then went with a K20D as a start in DSLR cameras to the mighty K70 that I use most. All use the same lenses and that makes owning Pentax one of the great joys in photography!
I bought my first Pentax ME in Japan in 1973. Since that time I have owned nothing but a Pentax. So, I have all kinds of lenses, all of which fit my latest DSLR. I'm hooked.
I have both: the K-3 mark iii and the K-1 Mark ii . Both are great cameras . The K-1 is new for me. Pentax is still a good player, even "THEY" want you to switch to a mirrorless camera . I think even in 2024 , the K-1 Mark ii is a good choice; I like the build in GPS , the perfect image quality , old lenses just fit and still working well even there is not much light. Waiting for better weather in Holland..... (April 3 - 24) 16 years ago I started with my first Pentax the K100D Super and I just bought the K-1 Mark ii .
you just listed the complete pentax line up 1. Pentax 645z medium format (sadly with no future perspective) 2. Pentax KP (discontinued i don't understand why) 3. Pentax K70 (discontinued and replaced with Pentax KF almost unchanged with enormous price increase) if you can get a K70 instead of a KF do it and save a lot of money 4. K3-III the only actual APS-C model 5. K1-II the only actual 35mm format (i avoid to say Full Format because its not logically that Full Format is much smaller than medium format) In total ALL Pentax cameras are a great deal with exception perhaps of the KF in respect to the pricepoint of the K70.
I've loved Pentax since the early 80's. I now own several, the newest being the K-1 Mark ii. I have the K-3 Mark ii and it has also been an awesome camera. My favorite part about Pentax is that they've kept the same mount since the 70s so when I find a fun lens, I can almost guarantee it'll work on one of my new Pentax cameras. The K-1 Mark ii has been a dream to play with. I do admit it is a hefty camera to haul around, but I like that feeling of heavy hunky strong camera gear when I'm clunking around the mountains or tripping over cracks in sidewalk along the streets. I really do love these cameras (The new lenses are pricey for the good ones though, so I've bought one new general use lens, and a ton of old glass).
it's so cool to hear about your love for Pentax, and it sounds like you've been a loyal fan for decades! The fact that Pentax has kept the same mount since the 70s is really impressive, and it's great to know that you can still use your favorite lenses on the newest cameras.
I have Pentax in my blood, I have and use K2 black from '75, K2 DMD, Z1, Z1p, MZ-S, 645NII but not the MX and LX because I don't like stuff superimposed in viewfinder over the actual frame. I also have all the best Pentax glass from K, M, A, F and FA lines. I also have the *istD, but I don't consider any of the K mount Pentax cameras True DSLRs, there is nothing awesome about APS-C, and 0.7X viewfinder magnification on the K1 is the shitiest on any Pentax SLR - only Pentax *ist film has this, 0.7X like Nikon F4 bad luck, and even 0.75X on my MZ-S like F5 is just shit, nothing inspireing in that, not even talking about great or awesome, and even on the 645 mount first 40 MP 645D viewfinder it's just so-so having worse magnification then best Pentax 35 SLR viewfinders and 645Z is even wey wey worse having absurdly lower magnification from the same crop crap format. And Pentax 645 film cameras use inserts not backs so tough luck, no digital backs... Some chinese managed to make digital inserts but low rez and chinesium... And even the 67II has a crapy viewfinder, only original 6x7 has a decent viewfinder but needs the ground glass from 67II and recalibrated metering.
I already have a K-1 mark two and I love it. I had a KS two and I had a 70 which I gave the case 70 to my granddaughter in hopes that she uses it I really like that little camera but I like my K2 too it really nice it’s light small compared to my Bemuth that I bought the K-1, ll
I have a number of Pentax DSLR cameras my oldest *istDL from 2005 K100D from 2006 , K70 from 2018 my first Pentax camera to have a problem Apature Block Failure. K3-11 my favorite Pentax camera with excellent build quality a great all around camera and a K3-111 from 2022 best autofocus hands down for a Pentax camera with a different menu system I am still learning
I started my DSLR journey just over 15 years ago with the Pentax K100D super, my collection of Pentax cameras included the K10D, Kp,k5mkii, K3, k3 MKII & MKIII And the K1 MKII one of my favorite primes is the Limited 77mm 1.8 , I have a few other limited edition lens for both APSC and full frame along with a collection of Pentax and Sigma glass. In addition to my collection of Pentax cameras, I have Panasonic, Olympus, Fujifilm and Nikon bodies covering full frame, APSC and micro 4/3 bodies.
My recently camera purchase is the K- 5 11s I use it with the 18-135mm lens. I like the solid build and handling and the colours. I find the range of available lenses to be confusing, old and new (af soft lens ?) compatible lenses to different cameras. Seems like a whole set of lenses for each class of cameras, it’s confusing.
When I was getting into DSLR photography, Pentax caught my eye because only they allowed the use of old lenses. My first camera was istDL2 in 2013, then in 2016 I got a K-r, which I’m still using. One day I will get my hands on a K1 :) Overall, it’s worth staying loyal to this wonderful brand.
The reader appears to know nothing about what she’s reading. Could she not have been coached to say things the way that actual camera users say them, like nobody uses the name of the 645Z like that. Is that a robot voice?

K3-iii is a hreat camera. Waiting patiently for the K1-iii

The only brand that retains the soul of the photography.
I completely agree with you!

❤PENTAX
Still shooting my K3😊
Personally I'm more than happy with my mk.1 K-1 and K-3, bought 2nd.hand five and six years ago respectively.
I use full frame lenses with my K-70, what an improvement

They don't make the KP anymore and the K-70 is replaced by the new Kf.
Very nice video, thank you! I was a little surprised bout the range of KP below K-70 but as a K-1 II shooter I cannot truly assess.
K3III for me - Brilliant.
I already have a K-1 mark two and I love it. I had a KS two and I had a 70 which I gave the case 70 to my granddaughter in hopes that she uses it I really like that little camera but I like my K2 too it really nice it’s light small compared to my Bemuth that I bought the K-1, ll

My IstDL2 just died and I replaced it with a K-3...should arrive in the next few days.
I shoot with Pentax K-1 Mark II. Love the camera
Agreed its a good one!
gracias por compartir las novedades de pentax
Gracias!
Why do you say 645 as six hundred forty five?
i put a pentax k-3 iii sticker on my sony a7riv, and i never looked back.
the strange point is that whenever I look through youtube for the best camera they all talk about 5 cameras and pentax is nowhere
Chybi mi tady možnost překladu 🙋 🕊️

I'm pretty sure it is owing to the unnatural pauses and inflexion.

Your story is full of speculations but its only speculations, nothing more. What are you trying to tell to us?
Will do better next time thanks!
