Watching this while on the same make and model as shown in the video. It's six years old and still one hell of a system. I'm amazed that I paid less then 600$ when this was new back in 2014 ish. I was also surprised that well, it's not noted as a *Gaming* PC it does pretty good on PC games like Skyrim and Sea Of Thieves. There are those once in a while times where it'll slow down and lag due to not having a dedicated GPU but for the most part this thing kicks but remember it's about six years old. This think came out before bluetooth was standard on most PC's including laptops. My only downsides thus far are that after about ah three years the battery died and would not hold a charge, so I'm always manually plugged in. I have other PC's but could not part with it. I also love touch screen laptops!
i am on the same model rn. i just upgraded the ram from 4gb to 8 gb and was shocked to find one of the ram slots is completely missing!?!?! ig this model was a budget machine and they spared a few pennies per board by not soldering the other slot on to the board (which is already configured to receive another) since they only sold this model with the 4gb 1 dimm configuration
@gunterandersson Mine has 6, I forgot you could upgrade the ram. Also I need to replace the cmos watch battery as another user has stated. Still sad it's not compatible with Windows 11. So come October 2025. I'm gonna have to say buy to it being Windows. And move to Linux.

Hey is there a replacement fan for this on Amazon cause I can’t find one also am I suppose to detach the black part around the fan and attach it to the new fan. Also is this laptops max memory 8gb or 16 gb cause it’s different everywhere I go

Good morning, if you type on eBay your exact computer name like "HP 15-"everything after that dash" memory" you would get a good amount of offers that will suit your laptop. Do a few other checks and buy. But first check what you have 4gb or 8gb in it already.

WHERE IS THE OTHER DIMM there is LITERALLY A SPOT FOR IT this pisses me off so bad now my 2x8GB kit is usless and i need to get a 1x16gb

I would search on eBay do this by the number on your motherboard. It should.look something like 6 digits dash and another usually 001. XXXXXX-001

If you have 4gb, you should be able to replace it with 8gb or even with one stick 16gb but it could be a bit pricy.
