The question you didn't answer is price difference between the two? The ID.7 may be nice and have all those features but there is also a cost to having all those features and not everyone will want them I much prefer manual vent control easier to change at highway speeds than messing around with a touchscreen trying to get to the right sub-menu. No wonder EuroNCAP are looking at reducing safety ratings on cars that don't have some physical buttons for common functions.
@@Anderus14That sounds promising, a little... I hope they could add more physical buttons to climate control, or changing drive mode, etc. I have Kia Soul EV, which for some can seem cheap, but actually it has very cool UI - i can change a lot of things just by pressing a button, without having to look on the screen. I want to turn off seat heating - boom, i know where it is. I want to quickly change drive to sport mode - no problem, I remember where the button is. The lack of buttons was the reason I hadn't bougnt VW ID car. But i would love to have car from the group someday, maybe Skoda...
I just wish VW would fix the interior of iD3/4. I hate those armrests, feels clumsy and cheap. And the dash in general feels like a dash from a utilitarian van. Id2 concept has way better interior, not to mention id7.
ID.4 is the better, more balanced package... Something about the proportions of the ID.7 is a bit off. The dashboard and windshield sit too high. And it needs real buttons on the steering wheel like the new Passat
Im glad VW is improving but I still have reserves towards their long term quality. A lot of bad info od factory programmed faults all while teslas seem bulletproof
I hate SUVs. So the ID7 is better by definition ;-). SUVs waste a lot of space costing more energy. If you need space, buy a buzz. If you need speed, buy ID7. SUV can neither nor.
Since Cindy likes the ID4 more, you just need to justify paying SOOOO MUCH MORE monthly for ID 7 to yourself... :D
Now that its getting warmer outside, it would be nice to see a range test with Hank again in good weather 😊 thanks for all the videos

Thanks Chris. I like the higher up position of my ID.4 with ease of entry & exit. Is the ID.7 very low down or has it good access?
Agree 100% I just wish ID.7 has a better exterior design (something like Arteon. ID.4 has better proportions) and steering wheel with real buttons
In 2025 steering wheel will be re-designed and it will get design similar to Skoda which means no haptic and touch buttons anymore.

Thanks for reconfirming the ID4 is the right one for me!! 😂🙈 great videos, love your content!! Thanks!
Hey Chris! Did you test the sound system? Is the same like ID.7 harman cardon system?
It is the same system. Did not notice a difference
Can your ID7 upgrade to version 5.0 software? (like on the ID7 tourer)
Thats what i want to know also
Hi, does ID4 have WiFi link service? my garage No cell phone signal . can be go thought by WiFi to see the car and battery states ?
Is that the updated id4?
2024 model ID.4

I love my ID.4 armrests. 😢
Wait ID.4 does not have a washer for rear camera? ID.5 has. Are you sure that ID.4 does not?
it has, just need to put it in reverse and push right stalk to back [spraying rear window] which sprays the camera.
Thanks for the new video. A better consumption comparison would be with the ID5 using the same wheel sizes. The ID4 is more of an ID7 Tourer.
bc it costs more....
excactly better to get tesla 3
@@michals1108 The Tesla3 is not better than the ID7, certainly not more practical.

"Because the ID.4 is an SUV"🐱
Id7 looks much better

🤣🤣😂 Nice joke! Do you know Tesla drivers with cars out of warranty? Do you know there repair cost?

I really don't like VW and I really think their electric car range are ugly and inefficient
