    Im getting really impressed with the id 7.I just wish there was a smaller car (and cheaper) that were just as good. if only id3 were a smaller id7.

    VW ID is a strong, solid candidate for the best EV for masses. We hope that the price will go down with time, because are too expensive relative at the ICE cars.

      @@Ty-ls5xg I was waiting 3years for my VW dealer to make the changes to sell the iD EVs, they’re just finishing building the new building and I’ve had time to admire this nice designed / well built car, and VW cancels shipping the iD7 to North America. Only the iD4,puke, or the Big Buzz are being made in the states. It’s stupid of VW. There is a market for EV sedans M3, BMW, Polestar, etc. so that argument of no body wants it is BS.

      @@BatteryLife Don't get me wrong the ID.7 is a great car and would most likely have been a contender as the price is right. But my EQE is from 22 and the ID.4/5 wasn't an option for me. I agree that the EQE is more expensive, but I'm not sure that I agree that they have a higher consumption. Just before easter we were passing through Germany from Austria. We started in Stumm in Zillertal and Landed in Geetshacht, driving A9, A14 and through Wolfsburg up to Geetshacht. I usually have the cruise control on 140-150 km/h on the stretches were allowed, otherwise on the allowed speed limit. We had then an average of 18 kWh/100 km. This is a EQE 350 without heat pump, just got to mention as everybody is crazy about that heat pump. I have an average consumption for the last year of 17,5 kWh/100 km. And for the record I live in southerns Sweden, but my guess is that we still have a little bit colder than southern Germany.
      In what I have seen the ID.7 without heat pump have a bout the same consumption as I have. Most range I have gotten out of the EQE on Autobahn is 550 km, when keeping to max 130 km/h.
      Thanks for a great channel!

    Some charging apps are not even available for my country, as they are geo-blocked and I can't install them. Or they don't have English interface, or require specific local number/address. Too much hassle. Teslas for me until that gets fixed.

      What do you mean with "charging apps"? You do not need any external apps. You only need the internal navigation system and it will calculate for you the best charging stops and how long you have to charge and up to what SOC you have to charge. This works absolutely flawless.

    I worry that you're becoming deeper and deeper in as a VW Fanboy which I hate to say as I like your channel. Just feels like any other car that isn't a VW is crap basically. Obviously not everyone wants a saloon/sedan and therefore maybe you should come out with your top cars in each class of vehicle from full size SUV down to the small hatchback or micro-car even like the Citroen Ami and everything in between.

      BMW i5 and i7 were great, Audi Q8 etron, Polestar 2,...
      And I ask every carmaker for cars to test, but they don't give me every car.

    I always find it difficult to say "the best" . There are far too many individual profiles for one car to fit all. For your personal profile it can be the best, for mine eg absolutely not. I think one can say that dor certain profiles certain cars might be better but there is no general.
    Regarding ömlong distance: for me teavellkng often alone with dog, Id7 is far too big. M3LR is massively enough. Even for holidays with wife, daughter and dog it was always enough.
    M3LR is even more efficient, it is smaller, it is very comfortable , etc pp.
    So for me the perfect car is the M3LR, for you it is the ID7. all good 🎉

      No one that thinks a Tesla m3 or my is a great car can't be a driving enthusiast. The lack of buttons and switchgear make it awkward and unsafe to drive. That can't even really be argued.

    • @tesla-spectre
      @tesla-spectre 3 месяца назад +2

      @@Ty-ls5xg Totally agree with you since you used a double negation: "noone that thinks an M3 is a great car, can't be" means "everybody who thinks an M3 is a great car is a car enthusiast". 100% my friend 😎

    • @Ty-ls5xg
      @Ty-ls5xg 3 месяца назад

      Oops. Thanks for spotting the error. ..I hit "reply" hyper quick as a colleague was calling me to ask me a question. Anyway the "can't" should be "can".
      But you honestly can not argue that the economics in a Tesla are up to standard. The ergonomics are so bad that they are unsafe, and this honestly can't be argued. You could argue "how" unsafe they are, but it literally can't be argued that having to take your eyes off the road to do everyday tasks is as safe as a button or knob that you can just reach for and use by feel. Anyway Teslastans will be Teslastans. By the way I've owned 6 EVs including a model y long range, which coincidentally ranks in 6th place of the ones I've owned. I'd take my Tesla over a gas car but for EVs they are a horrible driving experience if you are a driving enthusiast.

      True, M3 is also a lot faster for a 50k car... But ID.7 is a much larger car, especially in the rear passenger space, and the model Y looks like a frog so I can forgive it being a little less efficient than a Tesla (who seems to have the most efficient drive train, and one of the lowest weights Vs size of car). And the ride in the MY is significantly worse than in both the M3 and ID.7

      @@otacon_ahyomore tests?
      Teslabjorn did winter tests with rain at ca 3 deg for both M3 HL LR and ID7.
      90km/h test. Tesla 11% more efficient.
      120km/h. Tesla 8% more efficient.
      What Car also did some interesting range tests. Also pretty rainy and colder temperatures. Tesla M3 LR was 8% more efficent.
